So, I didn't mean to add Solangelo to the story so quickly. And I hadn't really planned for the chapter I just kinda wrote what came to mind.
This is how I'd see Solangelo and Percy.
I know some have issues with Nico being the way I wrote him but here's why I did it

The boy spent years on the streets, granted he did spend time in the underworld, but while he was on the streets he didn't have the money for food, so he just didn't eat.
When he went threw Tartarus he didn't have food then either just a few pomegranate seeds for emergencies. Another point where he didn't eat.
Then he got taken by the giants. That's when he went into the death trance and rationed his pomegranate seeds. Another point where he barely ate
When he got on the ship with the Argo II,  I do believe it was pointed out that Nico barley ate and when he did it wasn't much.

So to me it makes sense that he'd have an eating disorder

It also makes sense to me that if he were in a relationship with Will he'd try he best to be open with him even if he know Will will be saddened by the truth.

Now for Percy

After finding out in House of Hades that Nico has a crush on Percy, I've honestly had a slight hatred towards him for the way he's treated Nico.
Nico helped Percy defeat Kronos by having him take a dip in the River Styx (Granted that's not how to make a guy love you) BOTH Nico and Percy were betrayed by Hades.
Hades told Nico he wanted to TALK to the son of Poseidon. But still Percy believed Nico had set him up and he didn't let the boy explain what really happened. Instead this happened:

Percy didn't trust Nico. Even tho he didn't mean any harm and was trying to help.

Durning the battle of Manhattan Nico arrived with Hades and I think Persephone and Demeter. He legitimately wanted to help Percy but after the war he was treated like a hero but that soon came to a stop. He felt unwanted at camp and left again. And Percy didn't seem to care.
When Nico saw Percy and Camp Jupiter with no memory he knew he wasn't supposed to say anything about anything, so he played dumb. He knew this was the work of the gods and his part to play would be coming.
After Percy gained his memory he was had a large amount of anger towards Nico.
When they set off on the argo II they found out that Nico captured. Everyone but Hazel thought of leaving Nico there because he was shady because of the way he went from camp to camp and they knew it was a trap. HAZEL WAS THE ONLY REASON THEY DECIDED TO SAVE HIM.
Percy and The rest of the crew soon find out that Nico went threw Tartarus to find the doors of death and he did find them.
Minutes/seconds before Percy and Annabeth ascend into Tartarus Percy makes Nico promise to get the crew to house of Hades. And he does.
When Percy and Annabeth are in Tartarus the get help from Bob (Iapetus) the only reason that Bob helps them is cause Nico persuaded him to.
Nico gets the crew to house of hades  and get Percy and Annabeth. Percy thanks THE CREW  for coming to get them. Nico lead them and if he hadn't I don't think they would have gotten them at all. Percy specifically mentions Crew while thanking them leading Nico to believe that he wasn't being thanked for anything.
When Nico finally tells Percy how he felt about him I think Percy finally understood everything Nico did for him. And he feels badly for not appreciating the things Nico has done for him and everyone else. And he vows to be a better friend.
