____________

Em's POV
____________

after a good amount of travel time, we had reached the main Pacific Base of Azur Lane. contrary to what I had originally thought, it was much larger than what I had anticipated and after looking at it more, I came to notice that it adopted a much more civilized and town like feel instead of a military base. it was something that the Peacekeepers had thought of when the New Generation was introduced but we were doubtful that it would ever be applied

I was sure that Blitz, despite not showing it was glad to see that our design for the New Generation was used so that they could be more comfortable in the scenario that were placed into. Blitz most likely thought it would make them soft, which would explain his slight disliking to the idea but he did not oppose to some leisure in life, he out of many individuals understood the importance of good rest and environment

there was clearly much to see and I knew there was some good friends I had to re-meet and catch up with but I was sure that I could do both at the same time and it would enhance the experience by more than triple

Em:the base looks wonderful

Ibuki:I've read somewhere that the idea for this base was proposed by the Early Generation of Azur Lane to accommodate the new generation and bring a more peaceful and relaxing atmosphere to base for the Shipgirls. did the Peacekeepers have anything to do with that

Em:we were the ones to propose the idea but we never expected it to be actually used nor did we ever think it would be this big

Ibuki:the base accommodates all the factions, including the minor ones, space was mandatorily needed. a few artificial expansions were made even before we were constructed

Em:there must be quite a lot of ships in the New Generation then

Em(mind):does this mean the New Generation was reliant on numbers rather than singular power and strength???

Ibuki:between the main faction alone, 414 ships are accommodated in the base with regular sorties and many more ships of the factions are separated or assigned to different bases in across the world

Em:a mass coverage strategy, one that allows you all to respond to threats across the world while remaining fully powered, though it is a versatile strategy it does have quite a number of flaws

Ibuki:Command is aware of that and their working of patching the holes in the plan

Em:at least their active in making sure their mistakes are not exploited. the last thing Azur Lane should ever want is for the Sirens to use a small hole in an unbreakable wall to destroy us from the inside out

Ibuki:if there was gap in the wall then I'm confident that the Peacekeepers have patched it by just being here

Em:don't think that our presence alone will drive back the Sirens. we're indeed powerful but hard work and strong will is what will get us results in this war and there is MUCH to be done so don't forget the lessons I've taught you

Ibuki:understood

looking back at the base, I admired it's architecture and many cultural references as it seemed somewhat divided by the factions. segments were used and it was easy to see which faction used which segment as banners, decorations and infrastructure itself was a dead give away as to what was there and who built it

though we Peacekeepers had different ideas as to how to fill the base, this was certainly a surprise as this style was not one of the ideas we had and it was certainly original in it's own right

I was sure that there was plenty to see and much more to do but I was unfortunately sure that there was not going to be enough time to do them all but as one of the strongest ships to sail these seas, my duties must come first, no matter the subject
