(A/N: This is actually an unfinished oneshot. I just kinda got bored and haven't finished it since about 2 months ago. There are also a sort of OC-esque idea thrown in here which is the idea of Sun and Moon having their own 'Mini Me' so, yeah. Shinesprite is for Sun and Starlight is for Moon.
Some slight shipping involved, but no, it's not between Sun/Moon or their Minis.)
"Announcement to all our beloved guests," The speakers rang. "The Mega Pizzaplex will be closing soon. Please retrieve your children and belongings. We certainly had a blast being with you day and we wish that you did too. Thank you for visiting us and we hope to see you again soon. Have a pleasant evening!" Moon heaved a tired sigh upon watching the children leaving one by one, their parents and guardians coming back to get them. And thus concludes yet another rather hectic and very eventful day in the Superstar Daycare.
"We surely had quite an exciting day today, didn't we Moony?" Sunrise asks from inside.
"Sunny..." Moondrop uttered as he continued watching through his counterpart's eyes. Sunrise looks up after finishing stacking another round of colourful cans of three. "Yeah?" He goes. "Have you seen Starlight around?" Moon asks which made Sun's eyes widen in stupefaction. "Why? Did you lose him?!" Sunrise exclaims in a panic-stricken tone which causes Shinesprite to snap his head towards Sun, his cheerful face suddenly moping. "What?! No, no, no!" Moondrop immediately counters. "I... I didn't lose him! Of course I wouldn't..." There was a short pause. "I would never lose him..." He continued. He heaved a small sigh, trying to play it off as if nothing is wrong at all. "I just haven't seen Starlight after we closed. I just wanted to ask if you have." He clarified, which didn't really help the situation. "He's probably charging or something." He muttered under his breath. Sunrise knew that there was something wrong, but he didn't want to bicker with Moondrop, especially not about this with the knowledge that anything personal about their minis are a bit of a sensitive topic. Albeit he couldn't help himself, and dare he asked: "Are you and Starlight doing okay? Did... Something happen between you both?" Moon was about to speak up but he cut himself off. An awkward pause came to them and silence emerged victorious for a couple of seconds before Moon haphazardly answered, "Nothing happened, Sunny. We're okay. Everything's alright. Don't worry about it." Sunrise grumbled a little but settled for the answer anyway for he had no other choice but to do so."Well, okay then... But if anything does happen, always know that me and Shinesprite will be here for you two, 'kay?"
"M'kay." Another slap-dash response from his counterpart. It wasn't long before night fell and things seemed to take a turn for the worse. The power went out all of a sudden which caused for a rather painful transition between the two iconic daycare attendants. "W-What happened?!" Sunrise exclaims from inside as Shinesprite huddles in Moon's warm and fluffy nightcap, shaking, as his fear of darkness slowly overcomes him once again. Moondrop groaned. "I have no idea... Power got abruptly cut again. Maybe they needed it more in another area or something?"
And there, a figure nonchalantly strolls in, a flashlight in hand, the light swerving about as it makes it way to the nighttime animatronic. "Officer Vanessa," Moon goes. The blonde approaches him, making sure to shine the mechanical giver of light away from him. "Hey Moon." She simply greets. "Sorry about that sudden cut. It seems that the generators were overheating again. It caused a power outage for almost all of the Pizzaplex. The remaining electricity left is being concentrated in central areas. And until we can fix the problem, it seems that Sun's going to have to sit out for a while. Is that alright with you two?" Moon almost snorted upon hearing Sun whined inside, but Moon tried to keep a straight face to the best of his abilities. "Of course." He answers simply. Vanessa nods with a small smile, "Right. I'll leave you be then. I still have to tell the others down in Rockstar Road." And with that, she took her leave. Moon, on the other hand, just gave a small smile as he watched her leave. Now all Moon had to do was simply wait. There was nothing else to do. Sunny and Shinesprite have already cleaned up the messes for him, and it's not like there's anything else he could do while the power is out. Of course, this is his perfect opportunity to be in control for much longer than his intended purpose, but for whatever reason must he frolic about?
