I've often pondered around this question,
But none seemed to be in the right position,
"What exactly is the feeling of pain?
Is it the absence of feeling of gain?
Is it necessarily a precursor to sadness,
For it has pushed many into madness. Can pain be associated with betrayal,
Well, that surely was the element of Brutus' portrayal.
For many it has been dismay,
Or all the feelings altogether performing crazy ballet.
Does it make one feel worthless?
Well to me it has made life mirthless.Pain leaves nothing behind but an internal cacophony,
As for the greatest artists, pure zoffany.
From Ulysses to Shakespeare, from Michaelangelo to Cain,
Pain served as boon more than bane.
It may be the much needed dwindling fire,
And one's fate to see it transpire.
