Chapter 6 - Beastmen

"Well, where exactly are we?" I asked. I figured that was the most important question.

"We are in the southern jungle, next to the Guji river." He answered. I had never heard of such a river, so it doesn't explain much to me.

"Are there any, what you called them, tribes around here?" I asked

"The closest tribe is the lower Guji river tribe which would take about 5 days to get there. Mainly elephant and rhino beastmen live there, so they are quite a strong tribe, also because of that, they have many females. Often, I trade with them." Sillas said.

"Beastmen?" I was confused by the unfamiliar term.

"Yes, beastmen. You are a fox beastman yourself, are you not?" Asked Sillas confused at my question. I touched my ears and looked at my tail again and realized that indeed I guess I was one of these beastmen as Sillas called them.

"Are you also a beastman?" I asked curiously. I didn't see any ears or a tail on him and other than his abnormally huge size he looked just like a human.

"Of course, what else would I be?" Sillas asked, baffled.

"Are there no humans around here?" I asked.

"What are humans?" He asked. I looked at him surprised. Are there really no humans in this world? Maybe they are called something different around here, so I tried again.

"Well, humans look just like us but with no ears or a tail. They would look like you." I said.

"Well, I have never heard of these humans. I am a beastman" He said.

"What kind of beastman are you then?" I asked.

"A snake beastman." He said. I looked at him again. He did have some snake-ish features, like his red eyes, but he clearly looked like a human.

"What exactly does being a snake beastman entail?" I asked curiously.

"What do you mean? Are you not a beastman too? You don't even know what a beastmen is?" Sillas asked the strange female. Even though she was beautiful and thus far seemed to be nicer than most females, she was very weird. Even females that had grown up very protected should know what beastmen and mates were. He wondered how the female had lived up to now if she knew nothing of this world. It was almost as if she wasn't from this world. And her strange clothing also seemed not from here. "My beast form is a snake and my father was a snake beastman, so I am a snake beastman. And you are a fox beastman because you have fox ears and tail and your father or mother was a fox beastmen. "

"What is a beast form?" I was even more confused.

It seemed like Sillas was slowly getting irritated by my countless questions. "You don't know what a beast form is? You already saw mine." He said.

I already had seen his beast form? I looked at him puzzled. Then it dawned on me. "You were that snake?!" I shrieked. Now I saw the similarities. The snake also had dark red eyes and was very dark, just like his hair. So these so-called beastmen of this world could turn into animals?! It was a lot for me to take in all at once and I started to feel dizzy. How is all of this possible? I guess I was in a completely different world now.

"Why are you so surprised? You act as if you have never seen a beastman before." He said and chuckled. Well unbeknownst to him, I actually hadn't. "Well, since I found you and saved you from the water, you are now my female." He continued.

"What does that mean? I am no one's." I said.

"If a female is found wandering around alone or is in danger and saved, the male that found her has the right to become one of her males. So I will be your male" Sillas said. Even though this female was a little bit weird, she was very beautiful and seemed to have a good personality, so Sillas, who had never before had an interest in females and hadn't even considered mating with one, was quite interested in this one. He didn't know if he had these feelings just because she was different from the rest, but he wanted to find out, so he decided to become her male.
