Today was one of those wonderful days where i just stayed at home crying eating ice cream and watching old re-runs of Friends, my time of month. I would usually call one of my friends to entertain me and talk to me but since I had stayed home from school they were all in their classes.
Instead I decided to call my boyfriend, Jack Johnson. He was the only person who could cheer me up other than my friends. He would sing to me bring me chocolate and Disney movies. I called his phone and waited for him to answer.
"Hellooooooo?" Jack said on the other line
"Hey it's y/n do you mind coming over im on that special time of month..." I said trailing off.
"Be right there babe." she said hanging up automatically.
A few minutes passed by and I heard a knock on the door. I knew it was Jack but was too lazy to get up and answer the door so I texted him and told him to take the spare key under the plant pot.
I heard the door open and close and then footsteps coming up the stairs. Jack then opened the door and peeked in and gave me a warm smile.
"Hey muffin are you ready to have some fun?" He asked lightly sitting on the bed making sure not to hurt me in any type of way.
"What?" I asked confused not knowing what he was talking about.
"Well I thought of another way to help you with your......predicament" he said carefully choosing his words.
"We are going into a drive in movie!" He said smiling brightly. I was going to turn down the offer because I was so lazy but I thought about Jack and how considerate he was being and I gladly accepted the offer.
"Great! you get ready wear something very comfortable and I'll be packing some stuff downstairs see Ya in a few baby girl." He said excitingly kissing my cheek while exiting my room.
I grabbed my pair of sweats from v.s and threw on a comfy sweatshirt that was probably jacks and my black vans. I decided to try a little for Jack and put on mascara and lipgloss and put my hair in a ponytail.
I walked downstairs to jack and saw him sitting on the couch texting with a big blanket next to him with thousands of pillows and a few sandwiches for us."
"Ready babe." he asked directing all of his attention towards me.
"Yep lets go." I said trying to enjoy myself. We then loaded all the stuff into the car and started driving to the drive-in.
•••Skip car ride•••
We finally reached the site and there wasn't many cars there. Jack pulled back far away from any cars but still close enough that we could see the movie.
"What are we watching?" I asked as he made a comfy space with the blankets in the back of the pick up truck.
"Poltergeist." he said smirking looking at me.
"Oh please I heard that that movies isn't even all that scary." I said bravely smirking back towards him.
"Oh yeah we'll see about that when your holding on to me like a baby for dear life." he said moving his hands around exaggerating his point.
"Common loser get in I want to cuddle." I said as I could feel my cramps kicking in.
"Ahh I knew I was a babe magnet." he said jumping in Next to me wrapping a blanket over us.
As the movie was staring I started to get uncomfortable and I began to move around.
Jack understood what was going on and hugged me tighter to make me more comfortable. As the scary parts started to come up I started to flinch and grab onto jacks hand even tighter than before.
The movie thankfully ended and me and Jack left the drive in and headed home.
••skip car-ride home••
My eyes were closed but I was still awake. Jack shook me to let me know that we were home but I couldn't move. he chuckled slightly and picked me up bridal style and carried me inside, up the stairs, and into my bed. I expected him to leave big instead he got in the bed with me and whispered in my ear "sleep tight baby girl"
I gathered up all the strength I had and whispered back
"I'm glad you came."
