Cora was not happy that Mary was riding in the point to point. It was awfully fast and it made her very nervous. "As long as you survive them." Her own words echoed in her mind as Robert rushed to the course. Apparently someone hadn't made the jump. Sybbie rushed to Cora. "Granny. Someone said Aunt Mary's been hurt," she cried.
"What? Where's George?"
"With Nanny."
Robert rushed over. "Mar's been badly hurt. They've taken her to Lord Sinderby's where a doctor will see her."
"No!" Cora gasped, As Robert took her hand and she asked Rosamund to get their party back to Downton.
"Lady Grantham I'll take you to see Lady Mary. Cora nodded as she followed thee woman up the
"Dr. Bastion, this is Lady Mary's mother, Lady Grantham."
The doctor nodded. "I know you're anxious to see her , Milady but she's not awake. the saddle was not properly fastened and t came off and when she fell, she was tramped by two horses."
She gasped, a hand to her mouth. "When will she wake?"
Lady Sinderby placed a hand on Cora's shoulder.
"I recommend we send her to the hospital but I daresay if she doesn't wake up in a day or two, she may not."
Losing Sybil was hard enough but the thought of losing Mary too? " I need to see Lord Grantham," She said to Rachel.
"Of course."
They entered the drawing room and Robert said, " Edith has left Downton. She wouldn't tell Tom where she was going."
Cora dropped to her knees. He looked at Rachel who pulled him aside and told him what the doctor said."
"My God," he whispered going back to Cora.
."We'll get Mary to the Downton Hospital," Lord Sinderby said. "You should both get home to be with your family."
"Thank you."
