the train

Ty's pov:

I stare out the window until i can no longer see anything and pull away groaning already missing my sisters. I go sit in my room pulling off my pantsuit because its suffocating. I rifle through the drawers and find these really cute flower embroidered jeans and a black crop top that both look like they cost more than my entire wardrobe at home. I throw them on and grab a red leather jacket. Throwing it over my shoulders without putting my arms through.

Time passes and Effie calls me to dinner i walk out and growl at her. She squirms but keeps that stupid smile on her face i walk into the dining room and see Peeta. I roll my eyes as he waves to me and sit down throwing my jacket over the back of my chair. Haymitch Abernathy our mentor walks in and Peeta asks "so what's our plan?" Haymitch chuckles and says "sit back and accept you immanent demise." I growl and walk over grabbing the bottle from haymitch and throwing it to Peeta and say " well i cant do that because i have 3 sisters and a mom who works in the coal mines. So your gonna teach me how to survive if i have to take all the alcohol and throw it out." He chuckles and says "what are you gonna do? Your 12 years old." and i pick up a steak knife and say " im good with knifes."  and I throw it and take Effie's wig off her head. She squeaks and Peeta bursts out laughing and i can see haymitch holding in a laugh. Effie says "that was very expensive." I walk over to her wig rip the knife out hand her the wig imbed the knife in the table to which she gets out " That is Mahogany." As i walk away i pick up my jacket and flip them off. I sit on my bed and wait. Effie comes to get me so i can take "my first look of the wonderful capitol" in Effies words. I get up and push past her as the train comes to a stop people are waving and smiling at me while im glaring at them. They shrink back as i walk off the train holding the one thing i have left from home. A necklace that me,peo,Delphi,and chrys all pitched in to make. I have 3 on one chain and they other girls all have one that connects with each one.

I growl at all the flashing lights and turn and walk after Effie. I step up next to har and she says " Cavernity you have to stop being so hostile." I say "Why? Also i go by Ty not Cavernity. Use the correct name " and i snap my necklace back around my neck and walk over to Peeta and the other tributes. One of the career tributes looks at me and says " whats that necklace doing on a girl from district 12. That belongs in district 1. Give it here." And lumbers forward i grab a vase breaking it and point a shard at him and say "come any closer and this ends up in your eyes." He says " oh really what will you do? throw it. I bet your aim is shit." I laugh and throw the shard into the wall pinning Effie's hair to the wall again and the careers break out laughing and i say " i can aim. And i never miss. I cant miss actually." A short black haired girl walks up to me and says " I like you. Im clove." She points to the boy who tried to attack me. "That's Marvel, Glimmer and Cato." I nod and i say "nice im Ty." Clove raises her eyebrows and says "Ty? I say "short for Cavernity. But i dont go by Cavernity ever." She says " your the 12 year old that volunteered for the blonde." I nod she says "whats up with the necklace. I say " I have 3 sisters to get home to the oldest is 7. My mama has a job in the mines and is never home. I try my best to take care of them. Ive been through more shit than most." Clove raised her eyebrows and i pull my hair away from my back shrug my jacket down and turn around showing her the scar that runs across my neck. It spells out the words Rat Bitch. Her eyes widen and she says "Th how?" I say " my dad tried to beat my sister i took it for her plus extra for interfering." She nods and says " how old?" I say " i was 7. peo One of  my sisters was 3. Delphi was 1." I pull my jacket up again and clove hugs me and says "im not gonna let you get hurt Ty." I nod and hug her back. We pull away and she says " we have to meet our stylists. Lets see how good you are in a dress."
