Wild just turned sixteen two days ago.
And two days ago, Wild was given his Blessing from the Goddess.
Whenever someone reaches their sixteenth birthday, they receive a what has become known as a Blessing from the Goddess or Hylia's Gift.
Hylia's Gift is something everyone gets. No one doesn't get it.
Hylia's Gift grants different powers to people.
Everyone's abilities are unique. No two people have ever had the same ability. Their powers aren't even heard of in the past.
For example, Wild's Auntie Impa can teleport. Which is helpful since her work is on the other side of town.
And Wild... doesn't know yet.
But either way, he was going to a new school. A school where he'll learn to harness his powers so he doesn't accidentally hurt someone.
No one wants a repeat of the Lurelin Tragedy.
The Academy was where Wild was now headed.

I pulled up to the Academy. My Aunt Impa and I were given a tour the day before, so I could just grab my duffel and suitcase and walk right in.
The walls were lined with alumni pictures, the men and women showing off their abilities.
One of them was a man with strange markings on his face, in his hand was a watch, I guess to show he has powers over the flow of time. He was smiling at the camera.
I didn't recognize that one... the others I did but not... never mind.
I shook my head and started down the hall once again. My suitcase's wheels whirring on the tile floor.
My phone buzzed, I took it out, thankful I had set my duffel on my suitcase, the strap around the handle. Now I have a free hand.
It was just Auntie Impa, asking if I had gotten there. I sent her a quick respond and put my phone back in my hoodie's pocket.
I arrived at the dormitory the headmaster had pointed out.
Apparently ten girls and ten boys can all stay in the same dorm. Which made me a little anxious about the new task of meeting my dorm mates.
I took a breath and knocked on the door.
A sign said "Home Sweet Home" with all the names of the people living inside it engraved around the slogan.
The doorknob twisted and creaked. I winced and absentmindedly pulled my dark blue hood up over my eyes. Pulling it as far down as it would go and making myself as small as possible as the door swung inward.
In the doorway stood a tired-looking woman still in her pajamas. To be fair, it was pretty early and they didn't know I was coming. She was holding a mug of coffee that said 'I hate Mondays'. She was glaring mildly at me.
I opened my mouth and tried to stammer out some explanation before her eyes lit up.
She had mousy brown hair and green eyes. Freckles were splayed across her nose and thinned out around her cheeks.
Her pointed ears were a little small and I think that's cute.
"You're our new dorm mate!" She exclaimed. I nodded uselessly as she practically yanked me inside.
She closed the door and took my suitcase. She instructed me to leave my sneakers on the little shelf. I complied, anxious.
She steered my stuff beside the door, gulped down the rest of her coffee and smiled kindly at me. A sharp contrast to the grumpy woman who was just glaring at me a second ago.
