Connor's POV

It took a few hours but we were out of the cell now. Damon wasn't too happy about us and scolded us like we were children on the drive out. He dropped us all off one by one until I was the last one, when we stopped outside of my apartment I look over at him. "Thank you for getting us out. Thank you for also putting up with us. I don't know how you do it." He just laughs.

"Well I have younger siblings, so I know how to put up with stupid bullshit." I scoff, "I am not a child thank you very much. I'm a stripper." He rolls his eyes, "yeah a stripper that needs to get sleep for tomorrow night because we all know the club is going to be packed." I nod, "yeah. I probably should get some sleep for tomorrow." I pull open the door and step out in the sunset.

"See you tomorrow." I throw a wink at him before shutting the door and walking off.

As I got up to my apartment I felt a pair of eyes on me, when I looked over my shoulder a short brunette man was standing off to the side. His eyes were focused on me and the keys in his hands were slowly sliding down his hand, "hey are you okay?" I ask him, he snaps out of his daze and blinks a few times, "oh. I-I'm sorry. You're just really cute and I got caught up in my head." I smile at his words feeling a blush rise to my cheeks.

"Thank you. You're cute yourself."

And with that I disappeared into my apartment. As I shut the door I heard him shout something so I opened it back up and peeked my head out to look at him, "yes?" I ask, "do you wanna come over? I can make you some food if you're hungry." I smile and step out of my door, "yeah that sounds good. I don't want to be alone right now anyways."

Two hours later

I laughed as Tyler gave me his best pick-up line and told me to top it. I thought about it for a few minutes then came up with one. "Damn. if being sexy was a crime. You'd be charged as guilty." Tyler's face lights up in the brightest shade of red and he hides his face in his hands, "no." He yells drawing out the 'o'. "You can't do those types." He does the same with the 's'. I raise an eyebrow, "why not? Is it because I just topped the vegetable one you did?" He keeps his face hidden in his hands, "you can't do that to me. I find you attractive and I don't want to get my hopes up about something being there when you have someone else."

I furrow my eyebrows, "someone else? I've been single for years now." He peaks at me through his hands, his brown eyes catching my blues. "I thought you were with that tall guy with the pretty green eyes?"

Does he mean Damon?

No.

"Do you mean my best friend Damon? No we aren't together. He's my best friend. He would never look at me anymore than either sex appeal or a best friend. Because I am a stripper." Tyler nods and covers his eyes again, "I'm sorry I assumed you had someone. I shouldn't be doing that." I smile at him and scoot closer to him on the couch. I pull his hands away from his face and he meets my eyes, "it's okay. You were curious and you didn't know. I'm not going to hold it against you. I mean we are friends now."

A smile cracks across his face, "well at least I've got a shot then. When do you work?" He asks me, he wants to get to know me. Wow. "Uhm, I work tomorrow night." He nods, "I'll make sure to come by then." I nod and look at my phone a text from Damon flashed across the screen telling me he got home safe. I looked up at the time and sighed, "I need to leave. I've got to get some sleep for work. It was really nice meeting you Tyler, thank you so much for inviting me over." He nods as we both stand up and he walks me to the door.

"I'm glad I caught you when I did. You're really fun to talk to." I nod and step out of his apartment. I made a new friend.

Go me.
