I was laying on Chloe's bed listening to her radio, Chloe was sitting at her vanity just staring at herself, I guess some girls don't get tired of looking at themselves, but if I was that pretty I guess I wouldn't either.
Chloe had dirty blond hair that fell right above her shoulders. She had amazing bone structure, long eyelashes that rimmed her chocolate colored eyes. She's the type of girl that almost looks better without makeup. You know those people you meet that are breathtaking at first, but slowly become less and less attractive every time you see them? Well that's not the case with Chloe, I've known her 4 years, and I still can't get over her beauty.
I walked over to the mirror where Chloe was sitting and couldn't help but compare our looks.
I always knew that I was pretty. I had long brown hair that went down to the small of my back in waves. I had big green eyes that were rimmed with a deep blue, and had long dark lashes surrounding them. I had a natural tan, and an okay body.
Just thinking about our features may lead you to believe that we are equal in the looks department, but it's kind of like the you have to see-it-to-believe-it type of thing. Chloe looks better than me on her worst day and my best. I know I shouldn't compare myself like this to my best friend, but I just can’t help it.
Sometimes I wonder why I have the most popular boy in the school and she doesn't. Jeremy and Chloe would be picture perfect; too bad they can't even stand to be in the same room.
The only bad thing about Chloe is that. She doesn't really have friends, except for me. She kind of a bitch and she know it. All the girls hate her because she's a bitch to them, plus she steals all their boyfriends and crushes. The guys tolerate her, but only because they think she's hot, and even then they still secretly hate her.
My phone rang, bringing me back to the present. I looked down at my phone and saw there was a text from Jeremy.
Hey, I'll be there in 20
Kay, see you then I texted back with ease.
I looked up from my phone to see Chloe still looking in the mirror. There was emptiness in her eyes. What is up with everyone today?
"Chloe, I should probably go home. Jeremy is coming over." I said
"Okay, let's go." she said getting up and walking out her door.
The car ride was long and boring.
Ten minutes into the car ride I broke the silence.
"Chloe, are you okay? You seem a bit off."
"Yeah, I'm fine. Just one of those days, you know?" she said pulling into my driveway I notice Jeremy was already there leaning against his car.
"Hey do you want to come in and hang with us?" I asked.
I honestly didn’t really want her to come in and take my precious time with Jer, I mean something was obviously up with him today and I needed to find out what. Bringing Chloe would just hurt more than it would help, but I could tell there was something wrong with Chloe too, maybe she was still frazzled over our fight or something. I know it’s supposed to be sisters before misters, but I seriously doubt Chloe wants to hang out with Jer anyway.
"No" She said to fast like it would be torture to hang out with me and Jeremy. I mentally sighed in relief.
I know it was ridiculous to even think Chloe would say yes in the first place, I mean they obliviously hate each other. But in my defense everyone was acting so weird today I was starting to think we lived in a parallel universe or something.
