Tw: Gore, violenceTwo years quickly passed as the Kamisato family got as busy as ever.
Y/n sighed as she stared up at the starry sky. She was on a hill next to the Kamisato Estate, sitting on a bench. The view there was just mesmerising. A sakura tree was just right next to her, some of the petals landing on her hair.
She hummed out a familiar tune that her sister taught her, swinging her legs back and forth. ‘Finally some rest. Today was so tiring…’ She thought as she smiled. ‘I just wish I could have a break for at least one day…’
‘If I could, I would want to run away from all of this. All of these responsibilities. I know it’s selfish but it’s just so stressful. But Ayato and Ayaka definitely have it harder than me. I shouldn’t think of myself as the only one suffering here.’ She thought as she stared off into the distance.
Her eyes then lit up when she felt a familiar presence beside her. She turned her head to see Kazuha, smiling at her. Her eyes widened but when she blinked once, that figure disappeared.
Her eyebrows furrowed as she stared at her lap, fidgeting with her fingers. ‘Y/n you idiot. You’re supposed to be over it, right? Did you forget what Kazuha used to say? There is no future for those who linger on the past.’ The girl mentally scolded herself.
‘What would he think if he saw me now? Angry? Concerned?”
She then fidgeted with her locket as she opened it to see a picture of them both.
Take it off
She shook her head to get rid of her thoughts. ‘No. I will not let that happen again.’
“Please! Have mercy on me!” A man pleaded as his figure shrunk in fear in a small secluded area near Chinju Forest. Y/n only stared at him with a cold look as she raised her sword.
She said no words as she struck down, her anemo vision and eyes glowing purple. The wind summoned by it cut up the man's body as nothing more than a pool of blood remained before her.
She then turned around and walked away, not sparing the remains a glance.
"Again…" Ayato called out as he was watching from a spot not so far from the incident. 'Time to pay Lady Yae a visit.'

"Oh my, never would I have guessed that the great Kamisato Ayato would require my assistance." Miko chuckled. “Yes, I never would’ve guessed as well.” He replied calmly.
“So what seems to be the issue here?” Miko inquired. Ayato then explained the situation swiftly. “Oh my. I have heard of this case before.” She remarked. “So? You want me to handle this?” She asked before chuckling.
Ayato sighed as he nodded. “Well, you don’t expect me to accept this without something in return, no?” She smiled as her purple eyes glimmered with mischief.
“What do you want, Lady Yae?” Ayato sighed. “Oh come on now, don’t act like we’re strangers! Call me Miko. And what about we go out for dinner later?” She replied. Ayato nodded and breathed in deeply, knowing that she only wanted him to pay for the food.
“Alright then. Now, I must ask. Do you have something valuable to her? And from this situation, I assume the cause of her problem is that she lost someone, correct?” She asked as she fidgeted with her gohei.
“Yes. You never fail to amaze me with your thinking, Miko.” Ayato replied. “Oh, it’s nothing.” Miko laughed as she waved her hand. “Let’s get started then.

“So, I managed to enchant this necklace to stop her from transforming into her other personality. All she needs to do is to wear it. And never take it off.” Miko explained as she gave the necklace to Ayato.
“Alright. I’ll need your assistance to hold Y/n in place.” Ayato spoke. “Alright then. Do you know her location?” Miko inquired as she crossed her arms. “Yes. She is at Mount Yogou.” Ayato replied.
“That’s not too far from here.” Miko pointed out as they were currently at The Grand Narukami Shrine. Ayato nodded as they headed for mount yogou.
As they reached they saw dead animals laying on the ground. “This must have been the work of Y/n.” Ayato remarked. Miko hummed in response. “The aura of these attacks rival that of the shogun’s…”
As they reached the end of the path, they saw a figure before them. “That’s her,” Ayato whispered as Miko nodded. She walked towards Y/n as the h/c-haired girl turned around, her eyes glowing.
Y/n then lunged forward to attack but Miko dodged it swiftly and contained her in an electro made barrier. The e/c-eyed girl frowned as she tried to move. “Quick. Put on the necklace. In this state, she is not able to attack.” Miko said calmly as Ayato ran over and into the barrier to slip on the necklace.
The barrier then disappeared and Y/n fell to the ground unconscious. “That was a lot of work. You better keep your promise.” Miko sighed as she teased.
“Alright… But first, let me bring her back to the Kamisato Estate. I’ll ask Ayaka to take care of her.” Ayato replied as he picked Y/n up.

“Oh brother! You’re back! Wait- what happened to Y/n?” Ayaka asked in concern as she stared at the girl in her brother’s arms. “I’ll explain everything to you later. For now, she needs plenty of rest.” Ayato replied as he motioned Ayaka to follow him into Y/n’s room.
Once they reached her room, Ayato set her down on her bed. Ayaka furrowed her eyebrows, worried. “I hope she’ll get better soon…” She trailed off. Ayato nodded in agreement.
He reflected on a certain conversation he had with Miko earlier.
“Is there a cure to this?”
“Of course there is. It is to find and reunite with that one person she has lost.”
Y/n sighed closed her eyes. ‘Unfortunately, Ayato had to tell me everything that happened.”
She glanced up at the moon, hoping that Kazuha would be doing that too.
