CHAPTER 3
S.O.S. ALIENS HAVE ATTACKED ME!

"You can run, but you cannot hide!" his voice taunted me as I kept running through the woods.

Kieran was chasing me as I gave my best not to let him get me, for all I know once he does, he'd lock me in some weird creepy basement every psychotic human tend to keep his prey in.

Maybe I should have said yes?

That would surely save me from this situation I'm in, but it's too late now.

There's no going back.

-Few hours earlier-

I woke up to the annoying sound of my alarm. It was the song I hated from the depths of my heart, and wanted to kill anyone just by hearing it.

Why put a song I hate as an alarm? Because it was definitely the best way to ensure I'll wake up.

And the name of the song?

Anaconda by Nicky Minaj!

Groaning, I got up. It was half past six in the morning and my school starts in an hour. What's wrong with the grown ups anyway?

Don't they understand that our body clock request of us to go to sleep at midnight and wake up at 8-9 in the morning unlike theirs that are set for few hours earlier? Are they doing it on purpose, trying to make us more like them? Trying to change our childhood and force us to grow up earlier?

This actually makes sense, now that I look at it.

"Anna, get down right now. The breakfast is ready!" I heard my mother yelling from the downstairs. Of there was something I hated more then my alarm, it was my mother's voice this early. She almost never, and I repeat never, wakes up this early.

Breakfast is a whole other thing, I can't remember the last time she made one. Why listen to that 'breakfast is the most important part of the day' thing if I never eat it anyway? So without any choice, I headed downstairs.

"Honey, look what I made you!" she happily exclaimed as she pushed a full plate with some weird green pancakes infront of me.

"You're my favourite daughter, you know that." she continued and I wanted to say how I'm her only daughter, but decided that it's for the best to keep my mouth shut.

"Eat!" she suddenly yelled as my eyes widened. What's wrong with her?

Could it be that the woman in front of me was actually an alien and was forcing me to eat this weird thing so that another alien can posses my body?

Oh, no! I have to escape from here. I doubt that this time I can be saved by social workers. I must think of a plan. Maybe I should smack her with a pan that was 1,457 metres away from me and run to save my dear head. Then I could go and find some help... Who am I joking, I have no one that would save my life and help me... Maybe I should have socialized with human beings?

But then again, isn't this what I wanted. With aliens on the Earth, I won't have to worry about other humans.

As I was having a battle with my mind, I suddenly saw my mother's face in front of me, but that wasn't so strange. Her eyes were gleaming with some strange yellowish green colour and I immediately knew that this creature wasn't the same as one that gave birth to me. And with that, I started proceedings with my plan as I moved in a swift movement avoiding her, grabbing the pan and smacking her hard as she fell down. It all happened in a slow motion then.

Her body rose with her head in some strange angle as her bones cracked and twisted. Alien definitely!

Not having to think twice about my situation, I rushed to the front doors ignoring her threatening growls and escaped from my own house with some clothes miraculously being on me.
