I knew the first step to making Ricardo regret losing me was to exploit the fuck out of my relationship with Jack. Show him that another man was giving me what he couldn't. Show him where he failed.
But after weeks of having a fake relationship with Jack, I realized he was a decent person and I didn't want to use him. We talked almost every single day, met up whenever he was in Savannah and texted each-other first thing in the morning. I still thought about Ricardo every day but Jack made me feel... good.
I wanted to make Ric bleed, I really did. But that asshole doesn't deserve my attention anymore. And if I was distracted by him, I was slowing myself down when I could be working on my career. So I stopped focusing on him. Instead, I threw myself into my work and Jack.
Kelly Clarkson invited me to her show and now, I'm sitting in my dressing room. I just went on and had a fantastic time, she was honestly so kind and funny.
A small chuckle escaped my lips while I continued typing on my phone. Jack and I have been texting nonstop ever since we met. With us both being in the public eye, we have so much in common. I just feel like if a fan pisses me off, I could talk to him about it because he's been through the same thing.
"I just know you're talking to Jack," Tai said, sending me a wink. "Selina Harlow has a nice tone to it,"
I rolled my eyes, placing my phone on the table. "Hey, What's up?"
"I just spoke to your social media officer and she keeps reading comments about fans begging you to go live on Instagram," She assured, grabbing two bottles of water from the mini fridge and handing me one.
"I can't do that. My anxiety would literally eat me alive,"
"Which is why I brought you support," The door soon opened and Jack walked inside, my eyes widening. I lifted myself off the chair and pulled him for a hug, earning a deep chuckle from him. "What are you doing here?"
"I'm here for one of my shows and your manager planned for me to surprise you," He responded. Tai only winked before walking out of the room. "She said something about going live?"
"Yeah, she thinks it'll be a good idea to connect with my fans. Will you stay with me? I get pretty nervous,"
"Of course," Together we sat down on the couch, and propped my phone on some books. Jack asked if I was ready, and I offered him a smile before starting a live.
"Is this working? Can you guys see me well?" I asked, my eyebrows knitted together.
"Yeah, they can see us," He whispered, earning a nod from me.
