Stanley's pov
Well. Stanley was finally outside. He looked over at Weasley. Right. Weasley was with him. He wouldn't be as lonely as he was before. That was wonderful, of course. He'd just have to do it.
Being out of the parable and having Weasley with him. Of course, he assumed it wouldn't be that hard, would it? He had dealt with being outside and being with Wes. Yeah, he would get used to it.
Wes, who seemed ecstatic, looked over at Stanley. Stanley didn't exactly return his excitement. He was happy that they were out, yes, but he had seen all of this place before. He did want to know what was going on in the strange man's mind. He seemed quite happy.
Which was quite strange to him. Not only how gleamy he was, but how quiet he was. Stanley sighed watching calmly. Wes still dragging him. He had looked ahead again.
' ' What are you thinking about, Wes? ' ' He asked
He looked over pausing. Stanley stopped as well. He tilted his head. Stanley watched calmly. Weasley sighed a bit. Stanley tilted his head. He was confused a bit.
' ' Just... about getting by. ' '
' ' We'll get by. I promise ' ' Stanley said
Wesley nodded. Stanley was going to help whether Wes liked it or not. He looked down slightly. He thought slightly. He was trying to think of what he could do. They didn't have a lot at the moment since neither got paid. Stanley had like $20s on him.
He watched Wes as they walked forward. He sighed shaking his head. He smiled slightly, humming slightly. It didn't matter at the moment. They'd find a place to stay. He knew they would.
' ' Where are you even taking me, Wesley? ' '
' ' I'm just looking around at the moment. ' ' He said
' ' Oh? Do you want to go to the park? I think I remember the way there. ' '
Wes paused turning to Stanley. His eyes were wide and full of joy. Had he never seen a park before? He tilted his head slightly. His eyebrow raised slightly. He let out a small hm.
' ' yeah! ' ' he said quickly.
Stanley nodded. He looked around calmly to figure out where they were. Once finding out where exactly they were where. He started slowly moving in that direction as Wes followed still holding his hand.
Soon enough they made it to the park and Stanley paused looking back at Wesley. He tilted his head at the excited-looking man. Had he really never seen the outside world? Wes jumped slightly as Stanley stepped on a leaf.
Stanley looked down slightly then back at Wesley with a slight laugh. He took his hand from Wesley's and patted him on the shoulder with a laugh.
' 'It's just a leaf buddy. Fall is beginning. ' '
Wes looked over confused.
' ' Fall? ' '
' ' Yeah.. the season. My favourite season. It's very pretty. other places call it autumn ' '
' ' Oh! ' '
Stanley nodded. He looked up at the sky. It still seemed to be midday. They had time. Besides, there were plenty of hotels around. He looked back at Wesley who was looking around with wonder.
Wesley POV
Wesley found this all wonderful! It was all so pretty! He loved all of it. He looked over at Stanley who tilted his head. He smiled at him. Wes pointed at one of the trees he found pretty.
' ' How long does this last? ' '
' ' few months? ' '
' ' Oh. ' '
' ' Wait until you see spring. ' '
Spring? What was spring? Another Season? Was it as pretty as fall? he hopes so. How many seasons were there? Four right? If he remembered what he read correctly there were four. Some people had favourite seasons like Stanley said.
Would he have one? He'd have to right? It didn't matter at the moment. He hadn't seen them all yet. He couldn't exactly say. The park. he liked it. He walked a few paces behind Stanley. He wasn't so far behind him.
He looked back at Stanley. He was somehow just a beautiful if not more.. if.. wait. Did he really think that? Well... look at him. His brown messy hair, His rugged button-up.. just. him. Though Wes had to reconcile these thoughts. There was no way Stanley felt this way towards him.
Stanley looked back at him. He looked away quickly He felt his face turn red. He glanced quickly a small smile was on Stanley's face.
' ' Is something wrong, Wesley? ' ' Stanley said
' ' N-no.. ' '
Wesley went back to his looking around. He hummed softly. He felt Stanley's eyes still on him. Soon enough Wesley's pace was being matched. Soon the feeling of him being watched was gone. He sighed still looking off at the treelines. The Sun was starting to go down
Had it really been that long? He looked up and then back at Stanley. He looked forward ahead of them. Where were they going to stay? He heard a sigh and looked back at Stanley confused. He stopped and tilted his head.
Stanley paused as well and turned to him. Wes tilted his head. He was slightly confused about what was going on.
' ' I have 20 dollars that's all. That's what we can us, but it won't get us much at all... ' '
Wesley nodded. Of course, it wouldn't them much. They'd have to work together, but at least they'd be together a bit longer.
' ' Of course.. ' '
