Narrator: Welcome. Our story starts 2 months after the team returns to adventure bay. it was evening and all our heroes were playing in the yard except one pup, Marshall the Fire Rescue he stood outside the door at the top of the lookout that read "Ryder's Room". Marshall stood for a while nervously shaking until he hears this:
Ryder: It's a hard choice...
Marshall moved closer to the door to hear better
Jake: "You gotta do it one or the other, your pups are growing up they'll understand".
Ryder: "For every new member the old one is shadowed, and if I choose it will change things forever Jake I can't."
Marshall had heard enough he ran downstairs and out the lookout doors with tears in his eyes he ran outside to the roundabout houses and froze as every pup had their eyes on him including Everest and her two sisters gasket and Daisy who were visiting while their owner Jake was away on a trip.
Chase trotted up to him with worry reaching out.
"Marshall?" Rocky called his name from behind chase, "What's wrong?" he spoke again as chase comforted his friend.
Marshall choked back tears as he spoke looking at rocky chase and the rest of the pups
Marshall: "Ryder is gonna replace one of us"
Rocky: "Who?"
Marshall: "He only said there's a new possible member"
Chase: "How is that a replacement Marshall it sounds like there's a new pup to the team-"
Rubble: "Come play with us marshall"
Chase walked away with Skye next to him as the others returned to the game marshall following close behind
--Meanwhile--
Jake: "I think the obvious choice is the princess, think about it Katie doesn't interest you like Camilla does, and when has Katie ever contacted you and it WASN'T about her cat-"
Ryder: "I guess your right"
Jake: "Of course, I know what's best for my bro but will the pups agree?"
Ryder opened his room door and walked toward the elevator pushing the button as the doors closed "we're about to find out"

Skye, Everest Gasket Daisy Ella, Summit and Lily sat in Katie's Pet Parlor for their usual ladies night glam up
Katie: "So girls any news?" she said as she curled Skye's long hair while lily and summit giggled about their new furstyles
Everest laughed as gasket came out looking far from her usual emo style and more like a perky princess.
Gasket grumbled before answering Katie;
"Ryder is throwing a huge party at the lookout to celebrate the new members, and everyone in town is invited"
Daisy and Ella sat in the bath with cucumbers on their eyes daisy waved a paw in elegance
"I heard the princess of Barkingburg is gonna be there and Ryder's Older Brother Detective Ranger"
the girls continued gossiping late into the night walking upstairs of the parlor to Katie's house where there were tables full of snacks and sleeping bags laid across the floor in front of a big screen tv along with multiple pieces of paw patrol merchandise and a few body pillows stand nicely across her light pink queen bed and cardboard cutouts of ryder"
Katie blushed before looking down at the older females around her
Katie: "I swear this wasn't here last time"
Skye: "Wow we knew you liked Ryder but this is a whole new level for you Katie" Skye laughed lightly as Ella spoke up
Ella: "Don't worry We won't tell him what happens on ladies' night it stays sealed tight!"
Lily jumped on a sleeping bag "Let us watch the pictures on the screen!"
The girls agree and sat in a half circle across the floor lightly teasing each other about their crushes as the movie started

Ryder was in the garage tuning up his ATV when his pup pad rang with a call from Captain Turbot
Ryder sat up pulling his pup pad from his pocket before answering "Ryder here" his voice was deep and husky he stood up looking down at his pup pad as she mayor frantically spoke
Captain Turbot: " Ryder there's been a massive pile-up on the bridge, people are trapped in their cars and a few support beams are cracking along the asphalt"
Ryder: "We'll be right there cap'n, No job is too big No pup is too small"
Ryder pulled the slider on the side before pressing the multi-colored dial calling out to his team
"PAW PATROL TO THE LOOKOUT!"
The boys: "Ryder needs us-" they sounded bored with a nonchalant tone
The girls: "Mission Time!" The girls cheerfully sounded as they said their apologies and goodbyes to Katie as they trotted walking out the doors tails in the air wagging.
Katie sat alone in her bedroom feeling sad and jealous
Katie: "The princess was invited and I, his best friend wasn't even thought of...?"
