Douglas' comment on Kate Rich' Post
Hi, Kate.
I've just read your new post. And, to be honest, I didn't understand it at all. Who is the secret person who sent you a letter? Are you really going to New York? I cannot let you go alone. We will fly together.
Kate Rich' response to Douglas' comment
Will I fly to New York? I don't know. First, I will search on the Internet any information about this address.

Kate Rich' comment for Douglas
You know, Douglas, this address... This is the address of an orphanage in the city downtown. I understand nothing. Why would this orphanage send me a ticket to New York and ask me to fly there? I grew up in a good family, but, unfortunately, my parents died. Mom died in a car accident, and my father had a heart attack later. He also died. I understand nothing about this letter.
Douglas' response to Kate Rich' comment
Kate,
I also understand nothing. But what did you decide? I think it would be more reasonable to do such steps: first, you'll call this orphan home (I quess, their phone number is available on the Internet), and only then you'll make a decision about a possible trip to New York. But if you really fly to New York, then so do I.
Kate Rich' response to Douglas' comment
Yes, I saw their phone numbers on the website. I'll call them and then I'll message you what they told me
Kate Rich' blog post
Well, I called them. First, there was no answer for a long time, but when they've answered, they said that they couldn't help me. They didn't know about any letters sent to me, and any tickets to New York sent to my address. "It's really strange," those were my thoughts at that moment, so I decided to dial another phone number. I didn't expect, but finally there was a very quick answer. Moreover, I was surprised by the fact that the woman on the phone asked me if I was Kate Rich. She spelled my name.
I said that it was me. Then I was informed that she has some important news for me, but she couldn't tell me about it over phone. I wanted them to tell everything over phone but she answered: "This information needs to be told in person."
Douglas' response to Kate Rich' comment
So do you (after all) decide to fly? By the way, how are you?
Kate Rich' response to Douglas' comment
Yes, I decided to fly there. I have absolutely no idea what exactly they want to tell me, but I have to find it out. Apparently, they don't know about my illness, and I didn't say anything about it. But it doesn't matter... First of all, I need to find out what they want to tell me. If I won't fly - I will never know. I mean, my life can end soon...
Douglas' response to Kate Rich' comment
I will fly there with you.
Kate Rich' response to Douglas' comment
Thanks for your support, but... Are you sure?
Douglas' response to Kate Rich' comment
Absolutely. Kate, your health is the most important thing for me right now. I cannot let you go alone. Don't worry about school. There are holidays now, no need to attend it. I will also talk with my parents. They will understand. By the way, I want to say something about your manuscript...
