Chapter 4. (finale)

TW: Arguing, Court

Fuck. Today was the first day of dreams court trial.

I didnt want to go. I couldnt even bear saying his name anymore. But I had no choice.

I sighed as I got dressed for the trial, a simple black suit suit and tie with a white dress shirt. I quickly rushed down stairs to give my uncle one last hug before leaving. I was 18 now so i didnt need an adult with me so my uncle chose to stay home.

"I love you kid. Please be careful."

I nodded and hugged him tightly, before rushing out the door.

Once I was out the door, before I even got to the sidewalk, Karls mom pulled up with Karl and Nick in the car.

"You ready..?" Karl asked as I stepped into the car.

"As ready as I can be."

They said I could have 2 witnesses, and since Karl and Nick knew and saw alot of what happened, they were coming with me as my witnesses.

"We're here for you..okay..? We arent going anywhere." Nick smiled.

I nodded a little as we were pulling in to the court house.

I stepped out of the car, and slowly made my way to the court. I grimaced as I heard people talking inside.

I opened the door, and slowly walked in as Karl and Nick followed behind me. I looked around nervously, and noticed, there were people staring at us.

I took a deep breathe and went over and sat at our designated desk, Nick and Karl sitting on either side of me, and then of course, not long after, Clay walks in.

But I was confused. He didnt go and sit down. He came over to our desk.

He stopped right infront of the desk, and knelt down to me.

"Tell them you're lying and maybe you'll live to see another day."

Excuse me!? So this is how we're playing.

"Go fuck yourself." I quietly whispered.

He then grabbed me by the throat, earning a yell from Nick.

"Mr.Taken, unhand the boy and sit down!" Judge Annely yelled.

Immediately, he let go and walked to his desk and sat down, glaring at me.

I rolled my eyes and looked forward.

"Order in the court!" Annely yelled.

Everyone went silent.

"Mr.Found, we're here today because you claim that Mr.Taken has assaulted you, physically and sexually in multiple accounts, in some instances, threatened of murder. Is that correct?" Annily asked.

"Yes. It is." I kept a blank stare at the Judge, not acknowledging Clay at all.

"Alright, do you swear by oath to tell the truth, and nothing but the truth in name of the law and you understand if you are found lying, that you can be federally incarcerated?"

"Yes, Ma'am." I Nodded.

She then repeated this to Clay.

He just rolled his eyes. "Whatever."

"Mr.Found, you showed us photo and and video evidential proof of bruises, cuts, and gashes on your body as a result from what Clay has done to you, is that correct?"

"Objection!" Clay yelled.

"You sit your ass down Mr.Taken and keep quiet!" Annily yelled.

It went quiet.

"Am I correct, Mr.Found?"

"Yes Ma'am."

"Mr.Found, you also claim that Clay touched you and you found out you're pregnant last week, correct?"

"That is correct Ma'am.."

"When was this?"

"3 weeks ago.."

"Before you turned 18?"

"Yes.." My voice went quiet.

Annily was steaming pissed and it was blatantly obvious.

"You make me sick, Mr.Taken. Mr.Found, who are the two witnesses sitting with you today?" She asked.

"Nick flame Sapnap, and Karl Lee-lyn Jacobs, your honor." I introduced them.

"Mr.Sapnap, what is your relationship to Mr.Found?" Annily asked.

"Hes a very close friend of mine that I care about."

"And you are Karls adopted brother, correct?"

"Yes, your honor." Nick nodded.

"Mr.Sapnap, between Mr.Founds and Mr.Takens relationship, what have you noticed?"

"Clay wouldnt allow George to come see my brother and I as much and if he found out we were hanging out without his permission, he would beat him."

"That right? Mr.Taken, you also have an allegation by your own sister that you tried to shoot her. Is that correct?"

He hesitated. "Technically-"

"Its a yes or no question Mr.Taken!" She yelled.

"Yes. I did." He rolled his eyes. "And I'd do it again." He mumbled.

And that's how court went for about 3 months? We had a court meeting once every 2 weeks, until finally...

"Mr.Taken is found..."

I flinched.

"Guilty on all charges! You will receive a 15 year sentence with no bail!" She banged her mallet on the table.

I was relieved, and so was Nick and Karl.

Of course, Clay was pissed.

But we didnt care!

I was free. I didnt have to deal with him anymore. I could be happy.

We decided to go out for icecream the last court meeting.

I was dancing around in a skirt and a croptop, humming softly. We even took Drista with us to cheer her up a bit.

That night, I slept over at Nick and Karls house, since we were still in school and we havent graduated, they still live with their mum.

Graduation was 3 months away.

Oh dear fuck.

And then, everything went black...
