(Y/n) opens her eyes, finding herself in a completely different environment. She was inside a room of some kind, resting on a bed that kept her back propped up slightly. It takes her a while to realize that she was being treated at the hospital, due to the severe aching of her recuperating wounds.

The girl of seventeen could feel bandages covering every inch of her body, from head to toe. There was even a respirator that was attached to her mouth, enabling her to breath properly. She could hardly move at all. Mikey, had surely, left a damage to her.

"You're awake." (Y/n) travels her eyes to her left, where Kokonoi sits. From the looks of it, he was already anticipating for her to regain consciousness. "You've been unconscious for three days." Or maybe not.

'Three days...' (Y/n) was already remembering what got her in this situation. Despite it being three days, she could still feel the presence of Mikey's fists and legs. It makes her stomach turn at the thought of it. 'Oh yeah...' She'll never say it out loud, but fighting Mikey at the climax of the battle, even if it was to protect Takemichi...was horrific.

'I was beaten up by Mikey...' (Y/n)'s eyes narrow in sorrow. 'I lost...did I even protect Takemichi...?'

"Senju saved you." Kokonoi reveals. "Of course, Senju was in no shape to fight. So Senju bowed down to Mikey. And begged to end the conflict by disbanding Brahman itself."

As a result of the battle of the three deities, two lives were taken. In addition, the Kantou Manji Gang took over Rokuhara Tendai, while Brahman was officially dissolved. Therefore, the Kantou Manji Gang reigns as the top in the nation.

(Y/n) didn't want things to end this way. She worked so hard to bring Mikey; yet it wasn't enough. She was so confident, too. She was convinced that she alone would make a difference. But that never became the case.

And, chances are, it never will.

Kokonoi departs from his seat. "Well, I better be going now. Be sure to grasp the aftermath of that huge battle, alright?"

"Takemichi..." (Y/n)'s voice is very groggy from her dry throat. "—...is he okay...?" Her eyes are staring at the ceiling above her, as though she didn't care about anything else.

Kokonoi's eyes softens, finding it somewhat dorky that (Y/n) was, once again, prioritizing the well being of her closest friend. "Yeah. He's healing at the same floor. His condition is far from serious. So rest easy already." He says the last part rather teasingly.

There's no response that Kokonoi hears from the young girl, so he interprets it as an excuse for him leave.

"Ko...konoi..." He halts at the doorway, looking at his ex-commander from the corner of his eye. "I'm...not going to give up..." His eyes widen slightly. "—...as your former commander...I'll...do whatever I can to...rescue you...and the others..." Her eyes never tear away from the ceiling, her composure as calm as ever.

Kokonoi doesn't move. He finds it pointless to say anything, so he just leaves shortly after. He closes the door behind him, leaving (Y/n) all by her lonesome.

'Brahman is disbanded...because of me...' (Y/n) processes the new circumstances. '—...part of me should've known that I would lose to Mikey...he's insanely strong...with or without his dark impulses...' She shivers at the recollection of what Mikey did that night. 'He killed South...with his bare hands...and he could've done the same thing to me if Senju didn't step in.' She closes her eyes. 'As much as I want to...I can't take handle all of this by myself...it was wrong of me to do something so...selfish...'

'Mikey himself...told me...two years ago...'

"Because no matter what, all of us will be right here. Through it all."
