I just wanna start off with a disclaimer that only some of these characters belong to me. Those of y'all who've read the original Sailor Moon manga that the whole franchise sprouted from or otherwise watched any of the video material from it know which characters actually belong to Naoko Takeuchi. For those who don't, I'll start the list here and add any others in Future chapters, if they happen to make even a momentary appearance.

The one character so far who doesn't belong to me is Queen Serenity, who's starting out as the original Princess Serenity here. After all, this is supposed to be a story to fill in the blanks that came before certain parts, which were never truly covered in any part of the Sailor Moon franchise, as far as I'm concerned.

And on another note, all credit for the mirrors used in my cover also goesta Naoko Takeuchi, as well as the team responsible for Sailor Moon Crystal. They're just screenshots from the movie, Sailor Moon Eternal–which's supposed to serve as the fourth season of that show based on the fourth arc of the manga–since they're what sparked the idea for this story last Night.

So, without further ado, let's dive into what happened before the fall of Silver Millennium by diving into the Beginning of the End, folks!

Ever since the moment known to humanity as the Big Bang, Life existed in countless places all over the Universe. Some civilizations were more advanced than others–they more so resembled what was depicted in the cartoon, The Jetsons than they didn't. Another way to describe them was that they were like having the ability and technology to actually bring Star Trek to Life somewhere besides a TV screen.

Other civilizations were nowhere near as advanced, really no better than the humanoids known as cavemen. They carried just enough Intelligence that they were able to survive and reproduce, but they certainly didn't have actual languages. And they didn't have anything like the fine Arts and mathematics, nor were they interested in exploring other parts of the Universe.

It was from a civilization that could be said to fall between those two types that a small family took root, sprouted, and grew into a beautiful existence. They lived on a Planet so small, it could barely be called a Planet at all, which orbited around the Star known as Altair. But their Lives were in Danger that increased by the Day, the Star that literally gave them Life threatening to End their existence as they knew it. Careful calculations made by their scientists proved that not only was their Star rotating on its axis far too rapidly, but it was pulling in anything close enough to it so it could have a helluva lunch, so to speak.

With barely enough Time to spare, the Royal family of this tiny Planet packed themselves into a craft that resembled the escape pods on Star Trek. Anyone who wanted to go with them was more than welcome to board behind them, 'cuz they were unlike other Royalty in that they didn't discriminate with such a class system. But anyone who choseta remain behind would eventually be Destroyed when their Star pulled their Planet in close enough to it and decided that it was ready to play with its food before it ate its lunch, so to speak.

After leaving their beloved home World in their rearview mirror, the Royal family started formulating more of a plan than just blasting into the Void of Space. They Traveled nearly seventeen Light Years from their home before truly starting to search for another Planet they could colonize and grow on.

However, finding such a Planet was far easier said than done, starting with which Stars even had Planets orbiting them. Most of the Stars they whizzed past were just giant, hot balls of gas floating around in the Void of Space. A lotta them were just as hot and bright as Altair, which likely wouldn't bode well for them, if they settled on a Planet orbiting them. Otherwise, they exhibited some other feature–such as insanely intense magnetism–that made them far from hospitable. But one Star that seemed like it was just up ahead finally caught the attention of King Kuu, and he quickly set the sights of his telescope on it. Finding out more about it was imperative, if he and his people wanted to find somewhere besides their spacecraft that they could finally call home again.

The Star in question appeared to be a yellow one, rather than one of the bright blue ones that'd go supernova far too quickly for their liking. It was also quite a bit smaller than any of the giant red ones, but not as tiny as the white dwarf they'd left so far behind. But it was what came into view as they flew closer to it that put a smile on even Queen Kuutar's face, not to mention those of their people who'd made the voyage with them.

Far out in the outer reaches of its protective magnetic field, many different chunks of icy rock started to come into view. One of those chunks of rock sported a fairly round shape, much like the Planet they'd been forced to flee before their Star quite literally ate it. But even those who qualified as commoners agreed that it wasn't really big enough to thrive on, nor was it likely warm enough to support Life. Another agreement was that its having its own lil rocky body orbiting it the same way it did its Star was something they should look for in their new home World. That'd no doubt add desperately-needed Stability, which was why it became one of their top requirements.

Unfortunately, the next three Planets they flew past were no better than the first one they'd truly clapped eyes on since fleeing their home. They were all too far away from their Star to ever truly warm up, so even though they'd likely never be eaten by it, it was just too cold to support Life. After that came a Planet that was big enough for their colony and Future generations of it, not to mention another hundred colonies. But the quick tests they were able to run from afar told them that not only was it still too cold, the Wind speeds were too great. There also wasn't anything solid for their spacecraft to land on, which quickly got it added to the reject pile.

Yet another three Planets that were more gas than solid, home to insane Winds, and otherwise composed of chemicals incompatible with Life seemed to whizz past. Finally, after flying through another belt of rocks like the one that housed the first quartet of Planets they'd past, they started getting into more hospitable territory.

A tiny Planet that was in the midst of that second rocky belt was deemed too small, but it gave the small colony Hope when they saw it. It was solid enough to land on, if they'd really wanted to, and it also seemed to sport the liquid they used to quench their thirst. But it was just a hair too far from its Star to be comfortably warm, so the group decided to continue on to the next, which appeared to be a red dot on the horizon.

This Planet was definitely bigger, not to mention warmer than any other that the colony'd passed on their long voyage. However, they didn't see the foggy haze around it that'd surrounded all the others, which gave them the impression that they wouldn't be able to breathe once they disembarked their spacecraft. Not only that, but all its thirst-quenching liquid seemed to be frozen into a solid state at one of its poles, which prolly didn't bode well for them. And as if that wasn't enough, there appeared to be a settlement already on it, judging by the towering structure perched atop the opposite pole from where that body of Ice was located. It appearing to have not one, but two of the bodies they referred to as a Moon also didn't seem like a good sign, 'cuz surely the Force that held them on the ground would crush them.

Continuing on just a bit further–at least, when compared to the rest of their Journey thus far–finally gave the small colony their best prospect yet. Roughly the same size as the red Planet they'd just passed up, this rocky body seemed to be everything they were looking for. It was round and more than big enough for those currently on their spacecraft, and sported plenty of room for them to grow in the Future.

Even better was that–despite its cratered appearance–this ball of rock seemed to be warm enough to support them without being overly warm. In addition, it also seemed to have the foggy haze of gases that'd allow them to breathe once they disembarked. And even better still, while it wasn't completely drowned in thirst-quenching liquid, it definitely had that substance.

Once they'd made their landing on the Silvery ball of rock they'd settled on for their new home, the small colony eagerly disembarked their spacecraft. As they looked around themselves, they knew it'd take some Time to truly establish a home, but the Time and effort put into it'd be more than worth it when it was all said and done. It'd undoubtedly be Millennia before this Planet was eaten by its Star, if it ever was, which meant they could live here for a long Time to come without worrying in the slightest.

But things wouldn't always be easy for this colony, starting with establishing their fruitful Queendom that was led by Queen Kuutar, her husband at her side and their daughter being trained as her eventual replacement.
