Right into it

*Jin pov*

We finally landed, Seok looked like he was about to kiss the ground. "It wasn't that bad," I say a smile growing on my face as he slowly turned to face me. "Not that bad?! That wasn't a plane ride!" He said and I laughed. Motioning for him to follow me, he grumbled to himself.

We made it through the airport, handing them their appropriate paperwork. "Jin!" I turned to see Johnson and his agents. He came walking up to me, engulfing me in a huge hug. "Alright alright! It's good to see you," I say chuckling "sorry lieutenant!" He jokingly brought back my formal name.

"So, you must be Seok!" Johnson said Engulfing the slightly taller male into a hug. I laughed as the awkward arms patted Johnson. "Johnson, not everyone is a hugger," he apologized and Seok dismissed it saying it was fine. "Johnson was always the affectionate soldier" he nodded in agreement.

"Anyways let's get to business," he said we went to the cafe two buildings down. We were sitting down, Johnson cleared his throat. "Lucas Beckett, I got some more intel on him," I felt Seok tense as this booth was small, so he was close to me.

I guess he must've suspected something else. "He is 33 years old, formerly FBI agent fired for selling FBI tagged evidence," Johnson said, giving us a second to process what we heard. "Continue," I said more in my soldier-type voice, which I never did in Korea, and if I did it wasn't that serious, that firm and serious voice.

"He works for or around mafia bosses, drug dealers, hitmen, those are his high connections," so we hit a high-profile person. "Then why did he break into my house?" I felt Seok tense once more as well, his hands were balling in and out of a fist, my hand patted his hand under the table. I usually don't do that, but we connected a lot in our time working together.

"No clue why, but I can speculate, someone gave him money to do so," I nodded "anyways here are keys to a house that is rented via an alias, we are a call away so if you two need backup, call." He also slid the file as well to us. The address to the house is on it as well.

It was a decent size house, with two bedrooms and one bathroom. Open space concept so more room to work. Jet lag was hitting but I've worked through it, we had to when we got flown into a war zone or anything like that.

So I was taking notes in the margin of things that can be used against him if we have to go past his sister. If we had to hit bigger obstacles.

I was researching the mafia bosses, the hit men, and the drug dealers that are suspected to work with or around Lucas Beckett. I wanted first thing tomorrow to be where we go gather more intel and visit his sister. He made it personal when he broke into my house, I'm damn sure gonna make it personal with him.

Seok was already passed out on the couch and didn't even make it to a bedroom. We were both given untraceable phones even when in use they scramble locations and we can call anyone.

I stared at the computer screen, headlines and articles, and police reports. All about one family; The Bloods, it's a mafia group. Never give out their names. And it's not the gang blood and shit, that's some petty shit. Compared to this mafia group.

Murder, extortion, just violence everywhere and anywhere. And if you cross a mafia member or the boss you are done for. I'm staring at the boss studying his picture.

After what seemed like hours, I had notes on everyone and Karla as well. Like I did in-depth homework on them. I know what could maybe make them tick if my research was correct. I called Lucas's former boss in the FBI for some details into the matter. He wouldn't fully give what else was taken, but he did say a handful of weapons was taken out of evidence lock-up.

As well as drugs, he did specify but I can only assume cocaine or whatever, the harder drugs are the most to sell. We encountered some like that as well in a few missions I did in the military, it's always cocaine. I got ready for bed after I woke Seok up and we ate, I was staring up at the ceiling.

My mind racing but I calmed it, so I could get some sleep. Working through jet lag and working till you are just exhausted is a lot. I turned over and curled under the blanket, my eyes soon closing.
