Zarius's POV:

I walked towards the living room and sat down on the couch. I turned on the TV with the remote.

News Reporter: And there was a murder yesterday at Arciello's restaurant. A chef food poisoning its customer who lives at 'xxx'.

I crossed my arms and got to my senses.

News Reporter: We're still finding out why this happened, but for now, we think this happened because the chef was diagnosed with depression.

- She left a suicide note on her coffee table, covered with blood and there were no signs of people at all, but the suspicious thing is that CCTVs around this area were out. And we're going to find out why, soon. Again, I'm reporter Alan and we'll see you again on Sunday TV.

I yawned and rubbed my eyes.

I guess we did well.

I thought and stood up to get a glass of water.

I left the TV on to listen.

Once I opened the fridge, Azrael then walked up next to me.

"Hey,"

I greeted her back, but I was a little surprised.  That was so sudden.

"I'll make us some toast and coffee," I muttered and took a sip of my water.

She nodded and also got some water from the fridge.

A few minutes later, I placed the toasts carefully on a plate, covering it with a cloche.

I proceeded upstairs and grabbed my grey shirt and shorts, then showered.

Twenty minutes later...

After I finished drying my hair with a hair dryer, I immediately walked downstairs to eat with my best friend.

But instead, I saw her already munching on her food.

"Hey! Why didn't you wait for me?" I uttered and frowned at the same time.

"I'm so hungry~ I didn't get full last night 'cause I just ate a little," Azrael replied with a pout.

"Mhm, sure," I said and reached the dining table.

I reached for my cup of coffee which Azrael poured on my cup.

Azrael just rolled her eyes and I chuckled.

"Oh yeah, they already found the bodies and they're looking for more suspects and evidence." I stated and took a bite of the toast.

"Damn, they just found out now? We're so good." Azrael replied and took a sip of her coffee.

I glanced at her eyes and saw that they were red and puffy.

Did she cry?

"Az?" I uttered, still observing her eyes.

"Yeah?" She replied and looked at me while munching on her toast.

"Did you cry? Also, why the fuck would you cry?" I uttered, worried since she's not like this at all.

We've been killing a lot of people over the past few years and not even once has she cried over them.

"What!? No!" She replied, but it was obvious that she was lying.

I'm literally staring into the evidence right now.
