April laughed at Bleach's story about how he had to wash all the windows of all the CG businesses while she was away. The singer had been on tour for the past two months and she had missed her son terribly. She had returned to Los Santos earlier than expected and messaged him to pick her up from the airport as a surprise for everyone else at home. The woman also wanted to spend a few moments catching up with the young boy alone.
The twenty-nine-year-old boy had lost a lot of weight over the years but he still maintained his youthful round cheeks. The affectionate mother pushed his brown curly hair away from his eyes as he drove them back home in his metallic Nissan Silvia.
"So how's everyone at home?" She asked when the boy stopped sharing the stories she hadn't heard yet. Despite making sure to call often there was still much she probably missed and she wanted to catch up as soon as possible.
"Ray and Randy went to Liberty city for the week. They claim they're going to do a two man vault but we all know that's a lie." April rolled her eyes at that. Those two were still in denial of their feelings for each other.
"CJ demanded that Mr K should stop being a pussy and ask her to marry her."
"Language."
"Sorry ma." He was old enough to speak however he wished but it was an automatic response to his curse word.Good for CJ. She had been living with her adopted father for so long and he had yet to officially ask her out. Knowing the blonde, she probably kicked him out of his apartment in Little Seoul until he returned with a ring. Her theory was confirmed by Chase, who then updated her about most of the family. The fact that he even told her about how Francis was doing without mentioning Ramee at all didn't go unnoticed by the Siren.
"What about your father?" She looked at him suspiciously. He couldn't hide it from her even if he tried.
"He's fine. Super tired and stressed out because of gang stuff plus VLC events." She nodded at his words. Mr K was in his sixties and still the leader of CG but he had given out more responsibilities to the boys. With Randy gone in Liberty City it made sense that her husband was stressed out with all the extra responsibilities.
"How's Nova?" Chase hadn't mentioned her either. The grimace on his face immediately alerted her that something was amiss.
"Chase."
"She's fine."
He clearly was unwilling to say more so April would just have to find out for herself. The S15 parked in the driveway of the large lake Vinewood estates mansion a few minutes later. Home. Finally she could get some rest and peace. The singer had been working extra hard with rehearsals and choreography that all she wanted now was to sleep. Chase kindly carried her luggage as she led the way into their home.
"Leave me alone!" The young redhead yelled as she marched up the stairs. The pink headphones on her head were blaring music loudly to the point that she could hear it from where she stood.
"Come back here!" The 40 year old man yelled at the young girl as he stood at the bottom of the stairs. Nobody seemed to notice her arrival yet so she just watched in silence.
The sound of yelling followed by a slamming door, presumably her bedroom door, echoed through the house. What the hell? April turned to look at Bleach for some sort of explanation but the sudden exhausted look on his face showed that this wasn't the first time this had happened.
"I'm home?" April said it like it was a question. This was not how she left the house. What could have happened that would warrant such a respond from their bubbly daughter.
