"Hey Ricardo, it's your girl April." The woman greeted happily. She sat down on her cool runway as she listened to the stylist speak. It had been a while since they'd last spoken and there was a lot they needed to discuss.

"Hey April! First let's talk business." After Lucas' betrayal the woman had promptly fired him from Pixel Perfect and replaced him with Ursula and Ricardo. While she'd been on vacation the three had been working via video calls and emails and even despite them being unable to meet face to face the business had been doing better than ever. The brand new photo studio was proof of her new team's dedication and commitment to the success of the company and she couldn't rein in her excitement for what came next.

"We can't get construction for pixel perfect done yet. Nobody wants to work in December, which means we can't open SBS in early January like we had planned." Well. April rubbed at her temples at the to their plans. So far everything had been running too smoothly which made their current issue annoying but not too difficult to handle.

"That's okay. For now SBS should stay locked. I'm kinda focused on the awards and I know you are too so business can wait." April still needed to rehearse a few more times before she'd be ready to perform and she knew that Ricardo was probably stressed out because he was hosting the event.

"Speaking of the awards...Are you ready for the red carpet? There's some questions we need to do a run through of." April suddenly found herself very thankful for Ricardo. The drag queen played the role of her stylist, temporary COO, PR manager and so much more. She wouldn't know where she'd be without his help.

"Let's start with the bad news. Your dress isn't ready yet."
"What? What do you mean?"
"I called the designer and he said something about the fabric being hard to find and shipping. Don't worry about that though. Lucky you sent me your measurements yesterday, by the way girl you need to eat more. Anyway I sent them to him so the dress should definitely fit perfectly when it's done.

April gently smacked her forehead. It was a setback but it was one she didn't need to worry about. The singer was their highest profile client. She was at the top of their priority list.

"Okay, next thing. So a lot of people are going to be curious about who your date is. Since the public now know that you and Ramee aren't together anymore. Everyone wants to see who you'll bring." April sighed at his words. The woman hadn't thought too hard about a date. She'd been so worried about her performance that a date was the last thing on her mind nevertheless, she began thinking of a list of possible candidates.

"Also you're going to get asked a lot of questions about Carmella and Ramee's wedding."
"Why would I know anything about that?"
"Gossip pages want to hear the tea. Especially about the wedding."
"When is that?"
"...last week. I was thinking you can just tell them the truth. You got the invite but you were already on vacation." That would've been ideal if April had gotten an invitation. The news of the two being married was new to her. She could hear Ricardo discussing more points but April had zoned out by then.

"April?"
"Huh?"
"You did get an invite right?"
"...uhm right. Yeah. You know I moved to a new apartment so my mail is all over the place. The invite is probably in one of my mailboxes." The excuse sounded clumsy even to her own ears. Ricardo clearly didn't believe her words because he let her off with a suspicious "right."

"Listen Ricardo, thanks for the help but I need to go. I haven't unlocked SBS and my dancers are probably waiting outside for me. I'll see you tomorrow okay." The flustered woman didn't even hear Ricardo's response as she rushed to hang up.

She sighed as she sat down at the end of the long runway. There it was. The nail in the coffin. They would never get back together. The confirmation hurt more than she thought it would. April scoffed at herself for being ridiculous. She was the one who broke up with him in front of a live studio audience. It was inevitable that he would move on. It made sense that he would go back to Carmella too. April was the one who was never meant to be a part of that equation. She was the one who caused an imbalance.
