The meeting room was filled with the sound of conversation as everyone waited for the big announcement. The meeting room was usually reserved for emergencies, but today it was being used for a celebration. It wasn't a big room, only seating 30 with 6 rows split up into two to leave room for an aisle up to a stage with a podium The rooms volume drooped dead as the queen walked in and headed over to the podium. She observed the crowd, her blood red eyes grazing over her people before she steeped up and spoke "I thank you all for being here today to celebrate my daughter's enrollment into my secret service. She has trained hard and well and tonight we welcome her, Morgen Cahill!"
Morgen walked onto the stage, her brown hair tied into a short ponytail as her ruby eyes scanned the small crowed that had assembled. It wasn't a big crowd- as it was a secret survice not many people even knew what it did, so the crowd itself was only about 22 people. Morgen bowed, then turned to her mother, the queen, and went down to one knee. Her mother walked over, took out the ceremonial sword, and rested it on her shoulder. She started to give a speech, and as her mother spoke not a word reached her ears as Morgen did her best to just stare at the floor and not break down into a fit of tears. Morgen saw her mother move and realized she probably finished speaking and that she should stand up, so she did. Morgens mother had a huge smile on her face as she told the crowd about how proud she was of her daughter and how she knows that she will countue to make her even prouder, however Morgen chose to focas rather then on her words but on her smile. It was an interesting contrast to how Morgen hid her emotions. Once it was over as the guests where filling out her mother went up to her and put a hand on her shoulder and told her that she was just so proud of her, but Morgen blocked it out.
She didn't even want to be here in the first place.
