Once inside Radu began to causally walk in a circle around Riavan as he spoke.

"You truly are pathetic you know? " he started with a harsh tone "If you would just behave like you are supposed to I wouldn't have to punish you. Do you understand that?"

Riavan closed his eyes and let out a soft sigh before mumbleing softly. "Y-yes I do..."

Radu suddenly stopped and turned on his heels. His cold eyes glared down his nose at his son. "Then explain to me why you never listen. Explain to me how you fail to follow even the simplest task that I have given you."

Riavan knew that he didn't have a good answer and chose to stay silent. Radu snorted at his son's lack of response before walking over to the large fireplace on the other side of the room, while his back was turned the large doors behind Riavan flew open, and two guards walked inside. One of them was holding a bundle of rope.

"Finally, take his shirt off, tie him to the chair and gag him. Make sure he can't escape like last time."

To Riavan's horror, he was quickly shoved into a chair that sat in front of his father's desk, and his shirt was yanked off. He uses all his strength to try and fight off the two guards but was quickly overpowered.

With his hands bound behind his back and his legs strapped to the legs of the chair. Riavan continued to fight. Knowing that if he didn't escape now, he was doomed.

Riavan could feel his heart pound loudly in his ears while the tears began to swell in the corners of his eyes. He could only watch helplessly as one of the guards took out a scrap of fabric and gagged him.

While Radu causality poked the cinders with the fire iron he watched as the blaze roared to life once more. "You know. It pains me to do this to you but it has to be done. You threatened our lives with that stunt, what would people think if they learned that you can't control yourself?"

Radu pulled the fire iron out of the blazed, walked over to his son with the white-hot metal, and pressed it to Riavan's chest. Pain shot through his body forcing him to let out a muffled scream. After a few seconds, Radu removed the rod from his skin only to place it back in a different stop.

As his father continued to place the hot metal on his skin, Riavan's cries grew louder as the pain grew more. He could feel the ropes dig into his wrist as he tugged on them violently.

Each burn seemed to last longer than the ones before.

The final burn caused Riavan's body to convulse violently and the muscles in his chest to tighten under the excruciating pain. Once the metal had cooled Radu handed it to one of the guards.

Riavan collapsed in the chair and gasped for air between his soft whimpers, feeling his whole body tremble as the shock wore off. His thoughts buzzed around inside his head like a swarm of angry bees.

Why... What did he do to deserve this life? Was it something he did? Something he said? Why must he be tortured day in and day out?

As tears ran down his face, Radu grabbed his
son's hair and forces him to look up. His eyes showed no remorse for what he had done.

"Oh don't look at me like that. This is your fault remember? I'm only doing this to make you a better person. To make you the perfect son who carries the family name with pride. Now let's continue, shall we?"
