Negan had expected to get this role, he was confident in himself. That's why when he seen the email in his inbox that he had gotten the role of Humbert he wasn't surprised one bit. Although he had expected to get the role. That doesn't make him any less grateful, nor did it make him any less excited.
What he wasn't excited for was thinking about how his acting in this movie was going to affect his career. God he could already see the articles in the magazines, 'Negan Smith looks a little to into his role in Lolita, read more here'. Negan had acted in many roles that had him put in sexual acts or uncomfortable positions but this was going to be a different type of uncomfortable.
Negan wasn't dumb, he read the book and he knew what this movie was going to be about. To be blunt he was going to have to act like he was raping a 14 year old without remorse. He had to act like he enjoyed it to. Negan doesn't doubt his acting skills at all but he's damn sure worried about the kid who's gonna be under him while filming.
He had heard that the kid that got the role was a real 'cutie pie'. When Negan checked the email he seen that the kids name was Carl Grimes, and apparently he was way to excited to be meeting his older co-star.
