I woke the next morning to an empty bed. I pulled myself from the emerald quilt and played with my feet on the floor. I took a deep breath and looked around the dorm. It looked just like Blair's and mine. Two queen-sized oak beds on either side of room two matching wardrobes in front of each. Blaise and Draco had obviously spent no time decorating though compared to us. That was apparent from the icy cold wood floors and bare walls. Nothing about it felt homey at all, the only decor was the silver and emerald curtains that covered the single window between the two beds. Now that I think of it, I hadn't spent much time decorating or even unpacking I had spent both nights here so far, and Blaise did the same in my room. I gathered my clothes and quickly changed. Draco was nowhere to be found, so I took the opportunity to sneak out.
Blair was still fast asleep when I got back to our room but Blaise was gone. Probably snuck out before anyone could see him too, I thought to myself. I took a deep breath and threw myself onto my bed. I looked at the alarm clock station on the nightstand next to me.
6 am
I had two hours before breakfast, I lay there staring at the ceiling. I still had barely processed the last two days. It felt like a whirlwind, so much has already happened and the years just starting. I got up from bed and started unpacking my trunks as quietly as possible to not wake Blair. Most of my clothes had already made it out thanks to here, as for everything else it was still neatly packed away. I started hanging framed photos on the wall that mom had got for me. Some were of friends and family others were photographs of landscape and flowers. Mom always sent me with things to make me more comfortable while I was away. She sent all kinds of things blankets, throw pillows, curtains, and a full-length mirror. She was a bit materialistic at times but it did make it more comfortable, after spending the last two days without it I had learned to appreciate those things. I pulled out the fresh linens and began making the bed, then moved to the window hanging the matching curtains. Blair had definitely spent time unpacking her things but her parents didn't send her with the same amount of stuff mine did.
After about an hour of hard work, I looked at the room, my hard work had paid off. It looked like a tiny home here now instead of a depressing dorm. My mother was so extravagant she even had extra furniture delivered, nightstands, a small loveseat, and two matching desks, one for myself and one for her adoptive daughter Blair. I honestly don't know how we had space but we did have a room that usually was intended for six just between the two of us. My parents were extravagantly rich and didn't hesitate to send money to ensure their precious princess could have her own room. Though I declined, still wanted to room with Blair. Who had no problem soaking up the benefits?
I grabbed up my shower caddy and a few ash uniform and headed off to the bathroom. Blair hadn't made a peep the whole time I was moving throughout the room.
After my shower, I went back to the room and found Blair cozied up on the love seat with one of the extra throw blankets.
"Ah I see you finally moved in" she nuzzled into the blanket more and let out a giggle.
"Yeah, I realized how nice it is to have all the luxuries of home." I giggled back at her.
"Oh yeah and what could have made you realize that? Hmm?" She was prying. I wanted to tell her about Draco and everything that had happened but there was a feeling in the pit of my stomach not to.
"Could it be you've been in someone's room that isn't as homey?" Blair wasn't going to let this one go. How could I blame her though we just got here and I haven't spent a single night in our room?
"Yeah, I guess you could say that." I was trying to avoid telling her who. She already had such a distaste for her cousin that if I told her any of the details she'd kill him.
I started reliving the last couple of nights with him. He was such an asshole and so cruel but something about it made it so I wanted him to want me. I shook myself out of my daydream and started getting my things together for class. I couldn't miss another day of lectures besides who knows what Malfoy would do to me now, he made it loud and clear that was apparently not allowed with him. I rolled my eyes and grabbed up my bag flinging it over my shoulder.
"I'm gonna go get some breakfast are you coming?" I had barely seen Blair and I wanted to go down together but she seemed nowhere near ready.
"I'll be down shortly I'll meet you down there." She shooed me along and I headed out the room.
I made it down to the hall pretty early again so I took my regular seat and began filling my plate. It's a wonder how I don't gain a hundred pounds every time I come back here. It feels like a constant endless buffet daily. I loaded up on eggs sausage and a biscuit. I was finally settling back into life at Hogwarts and it felt nice to be home.
As I was enjoying my peace, thinking about my newfound comfort someone's presence brought me out of my daze. I looked up to see Draco in front of me.
"Morning love see you were up early." His tone seemed sarcastic.
"What gives you that idea Malfoy?" I huffed.
"Oh I don't know, maybe because you snuck out while I was in the shower, then you're the first person here." I bantered back.
"Well, I thought you left what exactly was I going to do just sit there?"
"I told you we had things to discuss this morning." That didn't seem as playful as before he was serious about it.
"We can now, there's no one here."
He rolled his eyes and began speaking.
"I told you there were conditions, you need to hear them and agree to them." He seemed annoyed.
"Yeah I know but you still haven't told me what those conditions are."
He paused for a moment thinking hard about what he was going to say.
"There are fewer conditions and more rules."
"Rules? What am I a child now?" I was completely taken aback by the thought. He thinks he's going to tell me what to do and I just will because I so desperately want him to fuck me. He's a bigger asshole than I thought.
"Yea. Rules. Very specific rules that are none negasuble."
