Jennifer's POV:

The next morning, the guys all groan as they awaken from a knock on the door. April extends her arm out in front of me in defense.

April: "Who is it?"

Charles: "It's me, Charles."

April: "It's my boss. Can you guys-"

April turns around to see that the guys have already hidden themselves.

April: "Hide?"

She opens the door as Danny and Charles walk in.

April: "Charles, what's up?"

Charles: "Uh, April, listen. You have been working awful hard on this story lately. Why don't you take it easy for a while? Just let somebody else handle it. Just for a little while, you know?"

April storms off to the bathroom in anger.

April: "Charles, what are you talking about? It's my story. No way!"

Charles: "Well, look at you. You're exhausted."

Me: "Rough night."

Charles: "Well, let somebody else help you cover City Hall."

I follow Danny's gaze to see Mikey reflected in the mirror, hiding under the kitchen table. Danny faces the table to find that he's not there anymore. I walk into the bathroom to see if I can mediate the situation.

April: "Charles, that's ridiculous. What's with you today?"

Charles: "Nothing's with me today.I just thought you might like a little help, that's all."

Me: "You don't know my sister very well, do you?"

April: "Would you hand me a towel, Jen?"

I walk over to the bath tub to see Donnie hiding behind the shower curtain. I point my head upwards for him to try the ceiling. He nods, and leaps up to the ceiling right as Charles pulls back the curtain. I quickly grab a towel and hand it to April. She feels my forehead with a look of concern.

April: "You feel a little warm. Why don't you stay home today? Out, Charles. Out, out, out, out , out. I have to get ready for work."

Charles: "Are you sure you won't reconsider about some help?"

April: "Danny, would you tell your father to relax?"

Danny's now crouched under the table to see if he was imagining things.

Danny: "I wish."

Danny gets up to leave with his father.

Charles: "Just don't push any buttons today, ok? Feel better, Jennifer."

Me: "Yeah, thanks. Bye."

I close the door on their way out.

Mikey: "That was close."

April gasps in surprise, while I sigh in relief.

Mikey: "Whoa! Time to switch to decaf, April."

Me: "April, I feel fine."

April: "I know that. But if the Foot can get to a secret lair in the sewers, they can get to you in a public school. Just stay here with the guys for today, ok?"
