Chapter 14

Kohana winked her sister and friends and watched them leave. Today was Tohru's last day in the hospital, and Kohana would stay for another few days. She heard a knock and allowed the person to enter. She saw Akito with a few flowers that seemed to be picked.

'' hello Akito are the flowers for me.'' Akito smiled at her.

'' yes, that are the flowers that came from the seeds we planted. They grew really fast, and I thought your hospital room could get a little color.'' Akito sweatdropped when she looked around the room. Kohana told her that Saki did all the decoration, and she only owned the coffee machine. The room had black curtains and black bedsheets. Even the coffee cups that Kohana had were black.

'' hmm. What did you do today.'' Akito's eyes brighten a little.

'' I cooked something for you today. I'm not sure if it is good, but I tried my best.'' Kohana smiled and saw Aktio give her a bento box. Inside was curry and rice. 

'' Akito can you show me both your hands?'' Akito showed her, a little confused, her hands.

'' you have all fingers, that is a good sign.'' Akito glared at her.

'' when will you stop making fun about how I cut!'' Kohana began to eat her food and Akito looked away. Kohana's eyes widen a little.

'' you are really getting better, aren't you?'' Akito smiled proudly.

'' well, I let a maid that didn't annoy me too much teach me a few things.'' Kohana smiled at her and let her talk. 

'' Akito open your mouth.'' she blushed a little but let Kohana fed her the curry. Kohana almost chuckled when she saw how embarrassed she looked.

'' how is everything in the main house?'' Kohana asked, and Akito had a sour look on her face.

'' my mother has looked herself inside her room and the maids annoy me like always. When you are finally out of the hospital, then come over again. I think they are scared of you.'' Kohana chuckled.

Before they could say more, Akito hold herself and tears were streaming down her face. Kohana grew worried and stood up and hold Akito.

'' Akito is everything alright?'' tears filled eyes looked at her.

'' I don't want them to go Kohana.'' Kohana smiled gently when she understood what happened. She hugged Akito.

'' Akito it's alright. This is going to be alright and a new start. The bond is weak, and you are only going to hurt yourself if you keep it up. Akito It's alright to let them go.'' Akito did what Kohana said and let them go. There were so many emotions that she was feeling, but the comfort that Kohana's arm brought was worth it.

'' goodbye...'' Kohana hugged her a little tighter and let Akito cry. When Akito calmed a little down, she and Kohana both sat on the bed and no one was saying anything.

'' I'm feeling so empty, as if something that was all the time was there is just gone.'' Kohana smiled at her.

'' Akito you are now free.'' Kohana put her head on Akito's shoulder and Akito looked down at her.

'' this summer. Let's go to the beach together.'' Kohana nodded and looked up at her.

''it would be my pleasure, Akito.'' Akito did something risky and kissed Kohana's head. She turned her head fast away. Kohana looked at her and let a small chuckle out.

'' Akito.'' mentioned woman turned her head and felt soft lips on her own. Her eyes wide open looked in the closed one of the person she liked. She also closed her eyes, kissed back, if freedom felt like this then she was happy that she let the bond go. This was her time to be finally happy, and she would enjoy it as much as she could.

The kiss was soon broken and they both looked at each other and shared a smile. Kohana's soon fell back on Akito's shoulder and they both looked outside.

'' Akito do you still feel empty?'' she brushed Kohana's hair and looked at a bird outside.

'' with you at my side never.'' both Kohana and Akito knew that together they would live happy lives. If it was in Japan or somewhere else, as long they had each other, everything would be fine.
