Be-Be:

I slithered out of bed. Literally slithered out, I turned into a snake, because I like to. Then, turned back into myself so I wouldn't get yelled at or forced out of my house. I live in a tiny fake house thats built into a miniature model of my "parents" town. I say "parents" because they're not really my parents. Their names are Adam and Barbra Maitland and they are my legal guardians. They took me when no one else would, not even my drunk, pathetic, low-life sorry excuse for a dad. As I got up, I walked around my kitchen, grabbed myself a few bugs and mutilated them. I then ate them quickly. I was running late and I knew Barbra would kill me (not literally we're already dead) if I missed the bus on the first day of school. I jumped in my black and white pinstriped suit, fastened my tie and boots, twirled my hair up in a ponytail and I was ready. I grew myself to my regular size and headed down the stairs of my real house. My Aunt Delia (Again not really my aunt) was in the kitchen making her and her husband Charles breakfast. I wish I could've had time to eat that wonderful breakfast, but I had to go to the prison they call school. I didn't want to go, I've never wanted to go since I was in Kindergarten but I've always lived to impress Barbra and Adam for fear if I disappointed them, they wouldn't want anything to do with me. I was about to head out the door when I realized, I was early, Barbra came running down the stairs with Adam. "Oh, Be-Be why couldn't you have dressed in something other than stripes today?" I shrugged. "Well, it gives people an idea who I am," she smiled and hugged me from the side. Then Adam came down after her. "Hey kid, ready for the big day?" He tousled my hair. "I guess, not that exciting, just 8th grade," I picked up my bookbag, adorned with stripes of course, and heaved it over my shoulder. "Wait!" Barbra spoke up, "I need a picture!" Charles then came out of the study with the camera. "Smile!" He said. I smiled, but my teeth always look dirty, crooked and terrible. Each of the four of them kissed my cheek and then I finally escaped. I walked down the road to my bus stop. I stood and waited alone. Truth be told, I was terrified, I hated school. Not for the work, the people.

Bethany:

Another day another reward. Just not today. In my opinion, school is much unneeded, for me at least. I am a Collins a natural born leader, why should I need a filthy public education, when I can get a clean rich one in my house? My father of course. He always was proper, not like I'm proper...well maybe I am. My coffin was nice and cozy yet still my great (many greats after that) niece Elizabeth, knocked on it with great force to my sensitive bat-like ears. "Bethany, dearest, wake up you have school" I slowly opened the coffin and rising ever so slightly with each push. I gestured for Elizabeth to leave while I was to pamper myself for today. I had to look my best so I could get the best impression as I do each year. My lovely, ornate, gothic dress was most suitable for this dreadful occasion. I put my makeup on as best I could since I could not see myself in the mirror. My even greater niece Carolyn said that my outfit was much out of date. It's the 70's in her world but in mine I never left the 18th century. I brushed out my long black locks until the curls were perfect. My father stopped me and gave me a pep talk on how I could impress everyone at my school and to let them know I am an important person and should be respected. I've always had this competition with my sworn enemy Angelina Bouchard. She was the one who cursed me to become a vampire, she's a witch. She was jealous of my rich and meaningful life being she had a poor and meaningless life. We were once friends, but she became so obsessed with me it got out of hand. Here's what my dad said. "Bethany Rosemary Collins, you are the most influential Collins and you must keep our power and lifestyle in everything you do, is that clear?" I nodded reassuringly "Crystal, father," he then patted my head and sent me off with Carolyn and her brother David to school. Today was the day.

Penny:

Morning! My favorite part of everyday! I immediately jumped out of bed and flung myself to the calendar. September 1st, *surprised gasp* could it be? The first day of school? Even better! It fuels my life to know a new day is here! I slid down the pole from my bedroom to the downstairs level of my house. I instantly was dressed, shoes and all. My preppy style was perfect for today! I went to my bathroom and vigorously brushed my teeth. They had to look as pearly white as they could get. I pulled my hair into high bouncing pigtails with bright red bows. Now comes breakfast! I lit the candle on the corner of the counter to active my prized possession, The Breakfast Machine. It does it all. It squeezes your oranges, Abe Lincoln flips your pancakes, fries your bacon, cracks your eggs, feeds my dog (speck), and much more. I sat down at my diner-esque table and had a nice morning conversation with Mr. Breakfast, my pancake, eggs, and bacon. My dad came downstairs. "Hi Penny!" "Hi Daddy!" Our voices were high in unison. "Can I have some Mr. T cereal?" "Sure!" I grabbed the box and poured some in a bowl for him. I told him I was excited for school and how this year I'd finally get some friends. After breakfast, I slowly walked out into my backyard, looked if anyone was watching then entered a code into the siding of my house. The secret hiding place was revealed for my beloved bike. I jumped on it happily and proceeded down my driveway to school. After I was halfway there, I heard another bike and an all too familiar voice. "Oh Penny..." I turned around, it was Francine Buxton my enemy and rich neighbor down the street, better known as Franny. "What do you want Franny?" I said annoyed. "It's the first day of school and my bike is awfully old and I can't very far without the chain falling off," I heard the smirk in her voice. "Could I ride on your bike with you?" I was insulted she'd even think. "No Franny, I wouldn't let anyone touch my bike, not even my dog!" then we had this big stupid argument and I tried to outrun her on my bike which I did, then she fell, and I laughed, and kept going and she yelled "You'll be sorry, Penny Herman!" And she had to walk to school. I was pleased with myself that morning, it was perfect!
