PAT
After meeting with some classmates from law school, Pat decided to stay behind at the bar. He could enjoy a rare but much needed drink and scope out the place for Wai and Korn. They had recently talked about expanding and changing things in their restaurant and wanted to check out popular bars and restaurants in the area to get some ideas. He was standing at the bar talking to the bartender when a woman's voice interrupted their conversation.
"Are you here alone?" She asked.
Pat internally cringed at the cliché pickup line he just heard. He was instantly regretted not leaving when his classmates did.
"No, I am not." He said without sparing the woman a glance. Was he being rude? Yes. Did he care? No. He wasn't in the mood to entertain anyone other than a certain someone who has been on his mind lately.
The woman walked closer then placed a manicured hand on his arm saying, "I have been watching you tonight and I haven't seen anyone with you."
Pat stiffened at the unwanted contact. I guess I wasn't clear enough, he thought. As he was about to politely tell the woman to take her hand off him, he heard a familiar voice call out his name.
He looked to his right and walking towards him was the man who has been on his mind for weeks now. Pat couldn't help but stare at Pran. There he was hair styled back, in a pair of black slacks, a black shirt with the sleeves rolled up and the top three buttons unbuttoned—yes, he counted, a thin gold chain around his neck, and his glasses perched on top of his nose. Pat thought Pran looked sexy and adorable all at once. I don't know how much longer I will be able to hold back, he said to himself. The woman was saying something to him, but he was only focused on Pran. He watched as Pran came up to him, wrapped his arms around his waist, and pressed into the side his body.
"Babe, sorry I'm late. Did you wait long? I couldn't find my contacts, so I had to put on my glasses." Pran said pouting. He then leaned towards Pat's ear and whispered, "You looked like you needed some help."
The warmth from Pran's body and his cologne caused Pat to falter a bit, but he was able to catch on to what Pran was doing. He cupped Pran's face and while gently caressing his cheek said, "It's okay. I've always told you that you look sexier in your glasses anyway." Pat did mean to say it seductively, but something in him snapped when he heard Pran's voice and felt his breath on his ear.
"I'll leave you two alone."
He was so focused on looking at Pran, that he barely noticed that the woman had spoken again and left.
Pran dragged his hands from his waist up to his ribcage and the movement caused Pat to close his eyes in pleasure. When he opened his eyes, he couldn't help but to zero in on Pran's lips. Pat wondered if Pran's lips tasted as good as they looked. He pulled his eyes from Pran's lips to his eyes and saw a reflection of what he was feeling. Excitement and lust. He slid his hand from Pran's cheek to his neck and pulled his head closer. He positioned his mouth over Pran's ready to kiss him. He has tasted and felt those lips in his dreams and now he was going to experience it in person.
"She left." Pran said with a smirk.
"I know." Pat muttered in a daze.
"Are you going to let go now?"
"No." Pat leaned in closer ready to get a taste of Pran's lips. He was determined to kiss him tonight.
"So, you don't mind kissing me in public?" Pran whispered.
Hearing those words made him jerk his head up in realization. He was standing in the middle of a crowded bar. This was real life, not one of his dreams. What started off as Pran 'helping him' turned into Pat almost devouring him in front of everyone there.
