3rd Person P.O.V
Flashback
Five year old (Name) stood by the door of the kindergarten room, gripping the strap of her backpack with one hand and holding her lunchbox in the other. Jarvis stood next to the little girl, talking to the teacher."If that will be all, I will take my leave now." Jarvis said, and (Name) looks up at him, in a panic. Before Jarvis could turn back to the door, (Name) hugged his leg tightly. Jarvis smiles down at her and crouches down to her level. "You will be alright, (Name). I'll be back this afternoon to pick you up. In the meantime go play with the other kids."
"No." (Name) cried, not wanting to be left alone here but Jarvis patted her on the head. "You'll see, it'll be fun. You might even make some friends." He said, standing up and (Name) watches with puppy dog eyes as Jarvis leaves the room.
"Why don't you put your stuff in the cubbies, (Name)?" The teacher asked, sweetly. (Name) walks over to the cubbies, picking out an empty one to hang up her bag and lunchbox. "Powerpuff Girls!" A voice exclaimed.
(Name) turn her head to see another little girl with blonde pigtails, a few cubbies down. The girl smiles, walking down to her. "I like Powerpuff Girls too!" The girl said, looking at (Name's) pink lunchbox that had Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup on it.
(Name) blinks then gives a small smile. "I'm Gwen. What's you're name?" The girl asked. "(Name)." She replied, putting her lunchbox in the cubby. "You wanna play, (Name)?" Gwen asked. "Uh-huh." (Name) said, nodding. "Let's go!" Gwen exclaimed, taking her hand and dragging her off to the play area.
The two girls were laughing and playing, as if they have know each other their whole lives. Soon it came time for craft-time, where they were making friendship bracelets out of beads on a black string. (Name) bracelet was pink and white, while Gwen's was red and blue.
Once they were both done, they exchange the bracelets. (Name) smiles down at the red and blue beaded bracelet on her wrist. "You know what this means, right?" Gwen asked, playing with the pink and white bracelet on her wrist.
(Name) look at her and shook her head. "It means we're best friends!" Gwen exclaimed, cheerfully. "Best...friends?" (Name) repeated, innocently. "Yup! Best friends forever!" Gwen said, grinning. "Best friends forever." (Name) repeated softly to herself and smiles.
(Name's) P.O.V
Present Day
Gwen was sitting at her desk, editing her speech for graduation. I was sitting on the wall next to her desk, playing on my phone, my feet and back were sticking to the wall so I won't fall."Aren't you afraid of getting caught? You know my Mom or brothers could walk in here at any moment." Gwen said, glancing up at me for a few seconds then returns her eyes to her computer. "This late at night? They're probably asleep." I replied.
"I'm just saying you need to be more careful." Gwen said. "I'm always care..." I said, looking up from my phone to look at Gwen and felt my heart stop. Right behind Gwen, I saw her dead father, staring right at me.
Captain Stacy and I stare at each other, the vellus hair on my arms standing up on end. "(Name)?" I heard Gwen's muffled voice say. "(Name)." She said again, her voice getting louder but still sounding so far away. "(Name)!" She shouted and I snap out of the delusion.
"Huh?" I muttered, looking at her. "Are you okay?" She asked and I glance behind her, seeing her father was gone. "Yeah...fine. Just lost myself for a second." I said, hoping off the wall and landing on the floor.
"You do that a lot lately, you know." Gwen said. "Well, you know me. I've always been a daydreamer." I said, turning my phone off and setting it down on her desk. "Is there anything you wanna talk about?" Gwen asked, softly.
