(Two days later)
Sunday, the day of rest. But for some, it was a day for big changes. Two of those people just happened to be a few of Marinette's classmates, Aurore and Mireille, who were both going for the KIDZ+ Weather Girl position. And today was the day where they would find out... who would win.
"Welcome to the finals of our KIDZ+ competition!" Alec Cataldi; a well known T.V. show host in Paris; said to the camera in front of him, while a limo arrives outside of the building, and in front of a massive crowd.
"Where today, one lucky winner will be announced as our brand new KIDZ+ weather girl!" The T.V. host said before the camera cuts to show the crowd outside the T.V. station, chanting Mireille's and Aurore's names as the two girls stepped out of the limo that brought them there and walked down the red carpet separating the crowd like a red sea.
"Hi!" Aurore said as she opened up her parasol and stepped out of the limo, waving to the crowd as she walked with a smile, while Mireille merely giggled as she followed Aurore's lead, sans a parasol. The crowd cheers their names as they walk by, as they respond to the praise with Mirelle smiling, and waving politely, while Aurore takes to the attention like a fish to water with enthusiastic waving, blow kisses, and a huge smile, before the camera cuts back to Alec.
"We started off with 5000 contestants. But with the help of our audience at home, we whittled our talent down to just these two amazing young ladies! So, let's welcome our fantastic finalists!" Alec said as he, Aurore and Mireille stood in front of the color changing background of the studio stage, while looking right at the camera.
"To my right, Aurore Beauréal..." the T.V. host said as the camera switched to Aurore who peace signs and winks the camera while holding her open parasol with a smile, with a bright coloured background behind her.
"...and to my left, Mireille Caquet!" Alec said as the camera changed to Mireille as she stands bashfully in front of a cooler coloured background compared to Aurore, and softly smiling at the camera.
"Who will be the lucky winner? Vote now! Text 1 for Aurore and 2 for Mireille." The T.V. host said as the camera shifts back to him as two boxes appear on either side of his head, the one on his right for Aurore and the one on the left for Mireille.
"And remember, standard text messaging rates apply." Alec quickly said, before winking at the camera with a snap of his fingers.
Meanwhile, over at Marinette's house, the girl in question was dealing with a small little imp-like problem. It had been a very quiet two days after the derby hat competition, and the battle against Mr Pigeon, and Marinette was looking forward to taking that time to relax and start working on the 'Geode Beanie' she was designing for Toby. But then her mom sprung a babysitting job on her. So now, she was chasing the little troublemaker around her living room, trying to get an unfinished hat out of her tiny hands.
"Come on, Manon, give that back!" Marinette said as she chased Manon; Nadja Chamack's 5 year old daughter; around her living room/kitchen as she jumped onto the couch, holding the unfinished hat on her head, so it wouldn't fall off from her running around.
"But I wanna be a fashion designer too!" Manon said, as Marinette ran towards her, only to jump off of the couch just before Marinette could follow after her, making her end up face planting into the couch.
"Manon, please, it's not finished!" Marinette said as she got up from the couch and tried to find Manon, who was hiding underneath the kitchen table.
"You're gonna ruin it!" The stressed babysitter said as she ran into the kitchen to find the little girl. A giggle from Manon then gave her away, making Marinette look under the table to see her just as she moved to the chair that was tucked underneath, leaning forward in the process, making Marinette bump her head on the table when she tried to catch her.
"Ah! Nnnngh..." Marinette exclaims in pain. After taking a minute to recover from her head bump, she crawls on her hands and knees to try and find Manon. She is unsuccessful until the little trouble maker giggles again; peeking over the couch in the process; before running off again making Marinette get back to her feet, and look around for any sign of her. She then sees a curtain on the other end of the room, looking like it might be Manon's hiding spot. Marinette creeps to the curtain, and pulls it away, only to see that Manon is not there, but instead a doll with the unfinished hat on its head. Immediately, she begins to panic, until she hears someone messing with her phone behind her. Turning around, Marinette then could see that the culprit was none other than Manon as she stood in front of the T.V. while the KIDZ+ Weather Girl broadcast played.
"I'm gonna vote for Mireille, she's the best!" Manon said, entering her vote through Marinette's phone, but before she could hit 'send' Marinette; who had walked over to the little imp while she was distracted; grabs her phone back.
"Hey, my phone!" Marinette said as she got her phone back, only for Manon to jump up and grab Marinette's unfinished hat again, much to her exhaustiveness.
"Ughhh... Why did I agree to do this again? I could be working on Toby's beanie right now!" Marinette said, feeling tired from watching the rambunctious 5 year old. And it wasn't even noon yet. But before she could even say anything else, Tikki suddenly appeared on her right pigtail with a squeak, much to Marinette's worry.
"Stay low, Tikki!" The designer said, worried that Manon might see her and think she was a toy to play with.
"Don't worry. You know what? If you can handle Manon for a day, any villain here on out will be a piece of cake." Tikki said, making Marinette smile, feeling encouraged to tackle the day of babysitting. But they were soon interrupted by the doorbell ringing, making Tikki hide before Marinette walked over to open the door, only to be greeted by...
"Alya?" Marinette asked, confused as to why her best friend was here while the reporter waved hi to her with a smile.
"Hey, I got a huge scoop for you. Guess who's on a photoshoot in the park?" Alya said excitedly, as she pulled out her phone and shoved it to Marinette's face, revealing a picture of Adrien in the middle of a photo shoot, bringing a huge smile to her face and grabbing Alya's phone in excitement to get a closer look to make sure she wasn't dreaming.
"Now? Adrien is in the park right now?" Marinette said as Alya leaned against the doorframe smugly while she had her joy overload to find out that her crush was only a short distance away from her.
"As we speak!" Alya said with a smile, happy to see her BFF so happy.
"Oh, gosh! What...what am I gonna say to him?" Marinette began, before Alya took the mic and decided to answer for her.
"The same thing as usual..." Alya began before she began to imitate Marinette's usual responses to the blonde haired Adonis. Marinete's words, not hers.
" 'I... uhhh... dahee... wha... ahh...' "The reporter siad while mimicking the same erotic movements that accompanyed the stuttering, much to Marinette's amusement. She knew full well what she was like, so no use denying it.
"Stop it." Marinette said, poking Alya in the arm with a smile, before she felt something grab her legs.
"Uh, who's she?" A voice said, bringing Marinette's attention to Manon as she pokes her head through the space between Marinette's legs, looking up at Alya curiously.
"Whoops! I forgot about this little detail." Marinette said as she scratches the back of her head in embarrassment, now realizing that seeing Adrien in the park might be a little harder than she thought
"And who's she?" Alya asked, looking down at the little girl and waves at her with a smile.
"This is Manon, one of my mom's friends' daughters. I'm watching her all afternoon." Marinette said, having about three seconds till her train of thought brought up the very reason why she couldn't leave
"(Gasps) Oh no! I can't go out!" The designer said now seeing why this was going to be a challenging task. This author was wondering how long it would take for that to sink in.
"Let me guess. Another "you couldn't say no" favor?" Alya asked, knowing full well about Marinette's overgiving and 'need to please' nature all too well.
"No, I just couldn't... say... no..." Marinette said, giving in. She couldn't lie to Alya, she knew her, and her nature all too well. And she was only her friend for two weeks!! Jim, Toby, Aunt Barbara and her parents had experienced it for years!! And at this point, Marinette did wonder if they took advantage of it a bit too much. Today being a prime example
"Look, no problem! I'll look after your little detail for you." Alya said, right before Manon decided to run off back into the living room, much to Marinette's exhaustion as she watched Manon run off.
"Thanks, but I'm responsible for her." Marinette said as she then turned to face Alya again, with a tired look in her eyes. This little girl would be the death of her
"Besides, I couldn't do that to you. She's... an absolute angel!" The designer said tensely before a loud crash was heard, making Marinette scream and run after Manon, as she ran around with a pot and a spatula in her hands.
"Manon! Put that down! Ugh! Come back!" Marinette said as she continued to chase after Manon while Alya only watched the chaos, while she walked over to the back of the coach and leaned against it.
"You're just a pushover, Marinette." Alya said as Marinette walked back to her, exhausted, while Manon continued to pull on her arm as Marinette retained an iron grip on it.
"I have to babysit my sisters all the time, which makes me an expert in dealing with angels." The reporter said as Marinette stood tiredly in front of her and Manon tried to get away, but gave up, turning her attention to Alya.
"Who are you, anyway?" Manon demanded, wanting to know why Alya was even there. But thankfully Alya knew exactly what to do as she crouched down to meet Manon's eye level.
"I'm a mythical unicorn from the world of Reespa, disguised as a totally fabulous human girl! I grant magical wishes, but only to little monkeys who behave!" Alya said, ending the claim by booping Manon's nose with her pointer finger, making her laugh.
"(laughs) No, you're not! ...Are you?" Manon questions before Alya grabs Manon in the air, spins her around, bringing laughter to the little girl before she puts her on Marinette's shoulders, much to her surprise
"Okay, let's all go to the park!" Alya said as she placed Marinette's hands onto Manon's legs; while Manon hung onto Marinette's head with her tiny hands; and flicked her bestie's chin with her finger before walking towards the door.
"Yay!" Manon cheers while Marinette processes what just happened. When her brain finally caught up, she just decided to roll with it.
"Okay!" Marinette said as she walked out the door with Manon on her shoulders, happy to have an excuse to see the love of her life. Again, Marinette's words.
Back over at the KIDZ+ studio, everyone waits in anticipation as the new weather girl is about to be chosen.
"This is the moment we've been waiting for!" Alec said, as the screen behind him counted down to zero, and he stood in between Mireille and Aurore.
"The viewers at home have made their decision, and the new KIDZ+ weather girl is..." The T.V. host said as the countdown finished, and the votes were shown on screen, via: little umbrella shaped poll marks; yellow for Aurore and blue for Mireille; with Mireille quickly having significantly more votes.
"Mireille!" Alec shouts out in excitement, causing Aurore to gasp in surprise, while the crowd cheers for their winner, making Aurore start to seethe with rage as the camera that was focusing on Aurore shifted to Mireille.
"Man, she crushed you, eh? Better luck next time!" Alec said to Aurore as he clapped for Mireille while she continued to glare at the winner in rage.
"Ughh..." Aurore growls out before she quickly leaves, very angrily, much to Alec's confusion.
"What's the big deal? You only lost by half a million votes!" Alec said, not realizing the hurtfull impact of his choice of words as Aurore left the studio.
Meanwhile, in a certain underachieving villains , the Butterfly B*$&€ himself could sense yet another opportunity to obtain the miraculous.
"The vibrations are so strong, I can feel the imminent anger and sadness." Hawkmoth said as the window of his lair opens up, stirring the butterflies on the floor to flutter in the air around him as he stares out at the city in his cowardly hidey hole.
"The moment of weakness at my next victim... Such easy prey for my akuma." The genderbent version of the wicked witch of the west said as he held out his open left palm, allowing one of the butterflies to land on it. He then covered it with his other hand, with his powers transforming it into an Akuma. Once the process was complete, he removed his right hand, allowing the Akuma to flutter free and begin its track out of the lair, towards the window.
Back over at the KIDZ+ building, Aurore was pressing the button on the wall for the elevator, still feeling angry about earlier as she patiently waited for the doors to open, her parasol held tightly in her left hand. Once they did, she immediately entered the elevator, and stood in the middle of the small space as the doors closed, head down and looking to the ground as she softly sobbed. When the elevator starts going down, Aurore immediately backs into the wall and leans against it as she continues to look at the ground in anguish.
"I should have won, I have the talent, the star looks, everything!" Aurore said, looking up from the floor as she continues to feel sorry for herself, while she continues to hold her parasol like a lifeline in her hand.
"But she took everything away from me. They took everything away from me!" The pigtailed girl said, her grip on her parasol tightening in her anger as the lights suddenly started flickering.
"They..." Aurore said, just before the power suddenly went down, causing the elevator to stop in its tracks, making Aurore drop to the ground, leaving her in near total darkness, the only light being the floor lighting, casting an eerie blue glow around her.
"Uh?" the scared girl said as she looked around the small space, and soon looked at the door, to see something truly terrifying.
"Ah!" Aurore said as the akuma entered the elevator, via squeezing through the gap between the doors.
"Ngh! Ah!" the girl squeals out as she starts swinging her parasol as a means to protect herself as the akuma flutters closer. In her panic, she opens the in an attempt to shield herself, but the akuma takes the opportunity and infects it. The purple energy encases the middle of the parasol, as Aurore closes it, allowing the purple mass to encase the tip of it as the power turns back up again while Aurore accepts the power of the dark butterfly.
"So correct you are. You should have won. Yes..." Hawkmoth said as he spoke through the psychic link to Aurore as she lifted her head to look straight ahead of her, her eyes darkening into a menacing stare.
"I should have won. Yes!" Aurore said as she stood up from the ground, gripping her infected parasol tightly in her hand and the telltale butterfly outline mask appeared on her face.
"Stormy Weather, I am Hawk Moth. I give you the power to seek revenge on them as my weather girl. All you have to do is bring me the . Can you do that?" the psychotic villain said from the safety of his lair, having no intention of doing anything save for watching someone else do his dirty work.
"Yes!" Aurore said, accepting the power, and allowing the purple energy on the her parasol to elope her, transforming her into Hawkmoth's latest puppet.
"That's my weather girl. Show the world who the best weather girl really is!" Hawkmoth said, having no idea how creepy he actually sounded as the elevator doors opened, revealing Stormy Weather, dressed in a dark purple, blue tinted dress with a dark purple petticoat on top of it that rounded upward at around halfway down her chest, with exaggerated shoulders that resembled rounded shoulder pads, and a rounded 'V' neck collar, with a popped collar effect showing the high collar of the dress underneath with the skirt of the dress resembling a storm cloud with a glowing neon purple lightning bolt where a belt would normally be, dark purple leggings, with white boots and gloves; the front of the boots ending just below her knee and then the back going up like lightning bolts, and the gloves up to her mid bicep and mimicking lightning bolts up to the shoulder pads of her petticoat. Her eyes changed from blue, to purple, with a black mask that resembled the telltale butterfly outline, her skin paled to an almost white tone, and her lips were painted a pale purple and her hair was changed from blonde, to dark and pale purple, with her pigtails showing majority of the pale purple as it wound around the dark purple while she had a section of pale purple bangs that swashed to the right, while the rest of her hair was dark purple, while she held her parasol that was now cinched near the bottom of the parasol cover, giving the parasol a umbrella feel while it now looked like the parasol cover was twisted to almost resemble a wind gust, and had a black-violet ombre'; black at the bottom and then violet towards the tip; with the tip becoming a white rounded half-sphere while the handel turned black with a pointed diamond shape at the end. The newly transformed villain smiled as the glowing butterfly outline disappeared right before she walked out of the elevator, set on causing havoc.
Meanwhile, over at the , Adrien was having a photoshoot, busy posing on, around and near the fountain as the photographer; Vincent; enthusiastically took his picture while the Gorilla held up a white screen to help get better lighting, all unaware of Marinette, Alya and Manon hiding behind a tree and watching the photoshoot take place.
"Come on. We're gonna stroll over there real cool as if we just happened to be passing by." Marinette said as she, Manon, and Alya poked their heads from behind the tree, with Manon below Marinette, and Alya above her, sort of mimicking a totem pole.
"Then what?" Alya asked, curious as to what plan her best friend had cooked up in her... unique mind.
"Then?" Marinette said, right before jumping out from behind the tree and started to go on about her plan/fantasy.
"I'll invite him out for a fruit smoothie at the end of the photo shoot! Then, we'll get married! Live happily ever after in a beautiful house and have two kids? No, three. And a dog! Maybe a cat? Nah, forget the cat. A hamster! I love hamsters!" The hopelessly in love girl said as she imagined the scenario in her head before swooning, as she was leaning her head to her right onto her clasped hands while balancing on her left leg while smiling brightly and giggling, while Alya and Manon came out from behind the tree, and the reporter just leaned against the tree, arms crossed in front of her while finding her best friends fantasizing amusing.
"Let's just start with 'happen to be passing by' and see if we can get to that smoothie." Alya said, pulling Marinette out of her daydreaming and her swoon, pulling her back down to earth, while Manon only watches the exchange with confusion. Marinette only giggles in slight embarrassment from her daydream and scratches the back of her head while swiping her right foot along the ground at the same time. She could definitely get too carried away sometimes.
Back over with Adrien, the boy was posing on the fountain, while the photographer continued to take Adriens pictures.
"Magnifico! Super! Come on now, I want to see hunger in your eyes!" Vincent said as he quickly clicked the flash button on the camera while sporadically moving as he did so, while Adrien continued to pose. Unknown to them, Marinette; who was trying too hard to 'not be', not be noticed; Alya and Manon walked behind the fountain.
"Remember, cool! Just be cool..." Marinette said as they walked past the fountain, only to not be noticed by the model as he was preoccupied with the photoshoot.
"Um, we couldn't be more invisible." Alya said, right as Marinette noticed that they had walked past the fountain entirely, and hadn't been noticed byAdrien.
"Okay, let's start over." Marinette said, just before she started pushing Alya and Manon back the way they came, only for Adrien to hear her, and turn to see them. Caught off guard, Marinette stopped pushing the two girls and stood in place, very nervously smiling tensely and once more scratching the back of her head. Adrien only smiled and waved at them, before Vincent; annoyed by Adrien's attention being anywhere but on the photoshoot; glares, and pulls Adrien's attention back to him, before he continues to take his picture.
"Did you see that? He waved at me!" Marinette excitedly said, using the opportunity that the photographer gave them and excitedly elbow jabs Alya in her side a few times in her excitement and waves at the distracted boy with a goofy smile.
"Yeah, I saw it too. Pretty normal, since we're in the same class." Alya said, trying to get the crushing girl to calm down and see that she didn't need to get so excited before she softly swats Marinette's hand down, leaving her to just continue smiling, lost in La La Land.
Meanwhile, over at the KIDZ+ building, Mireille had just entered the elevator holding her trophy, smiling, feeling very happy and proud of herself. But her joy is put on hold when the elevator stops on her floor and just as she was about to exit, her path was blocked by a cackling Stormy Weather.
"Hahahaha! I am Stormy Weather. The only weather girl who always gets the forecast right! And unfortunately for you, there's a freak icy front moving in right now!" Stormy Weather said right before she lifted her parasol up and attacked Mireille, firing a blast of ice, and trapping the poor girl in the elevator with a cage of ice.
"Somebody get me out of here! Help! Help!" Mireille shouts out as Stormy Weather leaves with a smile, trying to get anyone to help her.
Back over at the Place des Vosges, Vincent is still taking pictures of Adrien, while Marinette, Alya and a bored Manon watched, as she crouched to the ground, bored as they watched the photoshoot.
"Bravo! That's it! Give me the smile when your mom brings in spaghetti! Okay! And now, Oh no! Mama dropped the spaghetti! And now, you have to eat the spaghetti off the floor! Oh yes, you're angry! Show me angry, yes, yes, yes!" Vincent said, as he continuously switched spots to get as many angles as possible, all while the three girls watched. During that time, Marinette; who was so entrapped with watching the blonde model; unconsciously goes slack jawed as she continues to stare at Adrien. Alya immediately noticed and used her hand to close Marinette's mouth and went back to watching the photoshoot, only for Marinette's jaw to drop again, making Alya fondly smile and shake her head at her antics. Meanwhile, Manon's attention was pulled away from the photoshoot, and she spies a cart vendor selling balloons with Mireille on them. Must be a promotion for the KIDZ+ Weather Girl competition... which ended only a few minutes earlier, so why were there only balloons with Mireille on them? But thanks to Manon's five-year-old attention span, she didn't think too much about it.
"Marinette, I want a balloon with Mireille on it! Can I? Can I!?" Manon asked, looking up to the distracted girl and pulling on her right arm, only to be ignored by the designer as she was lost in her daydreaming, but did manage to catch Alya's attention, who only smiled at the situation. This was too funny.
"...Marinette?" the five year old said, confused as to why her babysitter wasn't answering her, and stopped pulling on her arm.
"MARINETTE!!!" Manon shouts out, finally pulling Marinette out of her trance and making her jump in surprise.
"Ah!" Marinette shouts out in shock, which unfortunately interrupts the photoshoot, much to Vincent's displeasure.
"Ngh! Silenzio!" Vincent said, angered that he was interrupted, while the Gorilla walked towards the three girls while Manon was pulling on Marinette's arm to get her to buy her a balloon.
"Come on!" Manon said as she continued to pull Marinette's arm while the Gorilla walked closer, which Alya immediately noticed and quickly moved to crouch next to Manon to defuse the situation.
"Come on, small fry! I'll get you that balloon!" Alya said, trying to appease the tiny girl, but Manon merely jumped up and grabbed a hold of Marinette's thigh, not wanting to leave.
"No! I wanna go with Marinette!" Manon said, not wanting to take the easy path like most little kids do.
"Hmmm..." Marinette said before looking back at Adrien's photoshoot, seeing that they were not doing them any favors, so... she had to appease the little girl.
"I'll deal with it. I am her babysitter." the designer said as the Gorilla lords over them, and then starts walking to the balloon vender, with some difficulty since Manon wasn't letting go of her thigh anytime soon.
"But what about Adrien?" Alya asked as the Gorilla walked back to the photoshoot, and could see that once again, the universe seemed to not allow Marinette just one chance to try and get closer to her crush.
Meanwhile, outside the KIDZ+ studio, Stormy Weather had just exited the building, and walked down the red carpet a little and posed with her hands in the air; right hand holding her parasol; and a smile while the crowd chanted Mireille's name. But when they noticed the winner of the competition was not there, they immediately stopped cheering.
"Where's Mireille?" A civilian from the crowd said, voicing what everyone was wondering, which was a big mistake.
"Ugh..." Stormy Weather groans out, glaring at the offending civilian, infuriated that she wasn't getting the attention she thought she deserved. But merely goes back to her previous pose.
"For all of you who voted for Mireille, I'd advise you to move indoors." The akuma said, right before lowering her arms and looking straight ahead of her.
"It's going to get very blustery! Oh wait... too late." Stormy Weather said, right before she swung her parasol to her left and summoned a powerful gust of wind that blew away the civilians that were standing there, making them scream in fear and panic as they flew through the air. She then swung to her right and did the same to the civilians on that side too. Once they were all out of the way, Stormy Weather casually held her parasol on her right shoulder and walked to the end of the red carpet before taking off into the sky, intent on spreading her brand of chaos through the city.
Back over at the Place des Vosges, Marinette had just got Manon the balloon and was now digging into her purse to get the right change to pay for it while Manon held onto it in her small hand.
"Come on, let's go back." Marinette said as she frantically dug into her purse, while Manon looked around and immediately saw the merry-go-round on the other side of the park.
"I want to go on the merry-go-round!" Manon shouts out in excitement while Marinette finally gets the right change out, and runs towards the merry-go-round. Marinette then gives the money to the vendor and runs to catch Manon.
"No, no, no, no, not right now, I gotta get back to Adrien..." Marinette said as she caught up with Manon and grabbed her hand to stop her from running away, but the tinygirl only turned to look up at the girl, a sad look on her face.
"You promised! You aren't going to break your promise, are you?" Manon said, pulling the 'guilt trip' card, and ready to take it to the next step, which Marinette knew all too well.
"Aw, please, please, not the baby doll eyes... You know I can't say no to the-" Marinette said, trying to get Manon to see reason, but it's all in vain when Manon flashes her baby doll eyes.
"Aw..." Marinette said, giving into Manon's demand, much to her joy as Manon grabbed Marinette by her hand, giggling as she ran towards the merry-go-round.
Meanwhile, Stormy Weather was flying above the city, and was enraged to see multiple banners of Mireille, everywhere, and soon was stopped by a balloon of Mireille as it floated up to the sky, ending up above the Place des Vosges.
"Ughhh!" Stormy weather said as she stopped flying, and hovered in the air, looking for where the balloon came from, only to see that a little boy had let go of the balloon and was now crying.
"Alright, little boy, here's another one!" The vendor said as he got another balloon and gave it to the little boy, while Stormy Weather immediately zooms towards the offending balloons.
Back over at the photoshoot, Vincent was still photographing Adrien, but is soon displeased as he sees that the model in question now appears to be tired.
"No, no, no! The boy has eaten too much spaghetti! Ugh, we need more energy! More romance! We need...a girl!" Vincent said, rambling on till he saw Alya as she was eating an apple while sitting against a tree. He immediately runs to Alya, hoping that things will turn out right with the spontaneous choice.
"You! I need an extra!" The photographer said, surprising Alya, who was unsure if he really meant her.
"Who, me?" Alya said, looking around to make sure she was who he was referring to, and pointed to herself to make sure as she looked up at the man in front of her.
"Sì! To pose with Mr. Adrien!" Vincent said, making Alya smile brightly.
"Uh... Hah!" Alya said in excitement, before getting to her feet. This was just what she needed... or more like, what Marinette needed.
"You don't want me, I... uhh... I think I'm having an allergic reaction to this apple." The reporter said, just before throwing the apple away to help sell her excuse.
"I know jutht(just) the perthon(person) you need! Hold that thought!" Alya said, as she talks as if her tongue is swollen, before she runs to Marinette leaving behind a confused photographer. Alya books it to reach Marinette, just as she lifted Manon up and placed her on the unicorn on the merry-go-round, and bends down to catch her breath when she made it.
"They need an extra to pose with Adrien!" Alya said in excitement... and out of breath, sending Marinette into shock.
"What? Seriously?" Marinette said, excitement filling her voice and placing her hands onto her cheeks, not knowing where else to put them as she smiled brightly.
"Is that boy your boyfriend?" Manon said, wondering why her babysitter was getting so worked up about a boy.
"What?! No, I mean, yes? No!" Marinette said, trying to figure out a not complicated answer that the five year old would understand. But it was a lot more complicated than simply explaining it.
"Go on! What are you waiting for?!" Alya asked, wondering why he best friend was taking so long
"But, what about Manon?" Marinette said, bringing up the elephant in the room. Oh... right. But that doesn't stop Alya from wagging finger towards Marinette and hand gesturing her move aside, which the designer followed to a tee before Alya jumps onto the unicorn behind Manon.
"You take care of Prince Charming, and I'll take care of Miss Unicorn here. You don't know how to control her anyway." Alya said, as she placed her hand on the pole holding up the unicorn, much to Manon's disagreement.
"No way! Marinette's my babysitter!" Manon said, looking up at the bespeckled girl, not wanting to have Alya look after her.
"Trust me." Alya said to Marinette before turning her attention back to the little girl sitting in front of her.
"Unicorns unite! Let's go to Rispa and find us some sad little village kids and grant those wishes! Yee-haw!" The reporter said with excitement, while using her arms and legs to further emphasize her performance, enticing Manon.
"Yee-haw!" Manon siad, joining in on the excitement, making Marinette smile and run towards the photoshoot as the merry-go-round started up. But when she was a good distance away, she heard someone screaming.
"Huh?" Marinette said to herself in confusion as she stopped in her stracks, turned around and saw Stormy Weather flying in the air above the park. The weather themed villain quickly fires an icy wind at the civilians, blowing them away, before surrounding the merry-go-round and encases it in an ice dome, trapping Manon and Alya inside, with the sub-zero freezing Manon's balloon, causing it to shatter in front of the two girls eyes.
"Run!" A civilian said, causing Marinette to wake from her shock and run to a bench to hide behind to transform. She climbs over it, and lands in a crouch before opening her purse to let Tikki poke out her adorable head.
"Time to transform!" Marinette worridley said, as Tikki flies out of her purse in a loop-de-loop as Marinette cries out
"Tikki, spots on! Yeah!" The designer said as she transforms into Ladybug, with somehow nobody noticing considering her hiding place wasn't the greatest. Meanwhile, Stormy Weather lands in the park, and continues her rampage.
"Oh no! Ahh!" A civilian said as he ran from Stormy Weather as she continued blasting the Mireille balloons, and causing everyone in the park to run away which interrupted Adrien's photoshoot, giving the model the perfect distraction to run back towards the equipment boxes, which were in the treeline outlining the park, where his bag was to get Plagg. But when he opened his messenger bag up, he was shocked to see it empty.
"Plagg? Plagg!" Adrien calls out, loud enough for no one passing by to hear so he wouldn't be questioned, as he knelt to the ground.
"I'm not here! I'm sleeping!" The mischievous kwami said from one of the numerous equipment boxes, much to Adrien's charytin as he held up a piece of Camembert. Immediately, the kwami smelt the stinky cheese and flew out of the box he was hiding in with unnecessary, but excited loop-de-loops, much to Adrien's smugness Plagg was about to take a bite, but was stopped when he saw Adrien's smirk.
"For your information, I can smell Camembert in my sleep. It's only one of my many talents." Plagg said, before taking the... delicious cheese from Adrien.
"Great, but there's no time to talk cheese." Adrien said as he got back to his feet, eager to fight the newest akuma.
"Plagg, claws out!" The model said as he punched his ring hand into the air, causing Plagg to be sucked into the ring, just as he was about to gobble up the slice of camembert, and allowing Adrien to transform into Cat Noir. Back over with Ladybug, she had just run from her hiding spot, jumps onto a park bench and leaps to the top of the Place des Vosges fountain, lands on it, and uses the momentum to barrel rolls twice into the air before landing on the ground to continue running towards the merry-go-round.
"Why did I leave Manon? I should have never done that!" Ladybug said, feeling guilty for leaving the little girl in her care with Alya and not staying with her.
"No. Alya's right. She's in good hands. I must trust her." The spotted heroine said, realizing that Manon could not be in safer hands at the moment as she reached the frozen merry-go-round and stood in front of it, while Alya had gotten off the unicorn and was holding Manon in her arms to keep her warm.
"I'll get you out of there!" Ladybug shouts to Alya and Manon through the ice, which Alya nods in response, signaling that she could hear her, before Ladybug pulls out her yo-yo and throws it, letting it wrap around the ice dome.
"Let's wire-cut this icy cake!" The ladybug themed hero said to herself before she pulled on her yo-yo to cut through the ice,, but the cord just slipped off of the ice, and back to her, bonking her on the head in the process, and knocking her to the ground.
"Or not? On to plan B!" Ladybug said to herself as she got back onto her feet and ran to the dome; where Alya let Manon back onto the ground; to reassure the two girls trapped inside.
"Don't worry, everything's gonna be okay!" The spotted heroine said, trying to offer them some reassurance to keep them calm
"Where is Marinette?" Manon said through the ice, looking around for her babysitter.
"She hasn't forgotten about you, Manon." Ladybug said as she crouched down to meet the five-year-olds eye level.
"How did you know my name?" Manon said, displaying the super power every child had... noticing things adults normally ignore, much to Ladybugs nervousness as she tried to think of an excuse.
"Ah! Uhh... Marinette told me! She's coming right back, okay?" Ladybug said reassuringly, before she placed a hand on the ice, with Manon doing the same as Alya crouched next to the little girl and gave Ladybug a thumbs up, with a thumbs up back from the spotted hero before she swung away to save the day. Meanwhile, Stormy Weather was now leaving the park, continuing to cause havoc with her lightning bolt blasts as she hovered in the air.
"Hey Ice Queen, what's with all the terrorizing?" A voice above Stormy Weather said, annoying her enough to stop hovering and land on the ground and look where it came from to see Chat Noir perched on the fence of the park
"Why don't you pick on someone your own temperature?" Chat Noir said from his perch, feeling confident in himself as he normally does.
"My name is not Ice Queen! It's Stormy Weather!" The weather villain said, feeling angered that the hero wasn't respecting her power and her threat level, as he slid down the fence pole with his right hand and landed on the ground a few feet away from her and spun his belt-tail in his left hand as he did so.
"Listen. I'm feline more generous than usual today. So cool down and we'll call it quits, 'kay?" Chat Noir said, in a sort of flirty way in hopes to appease the villain. It didn't work. The annoyed Stormy Weather opens her parasol and fires a powerful wind gust at Chat Noir, blowing him half-way across the city.
"Waaaaaahhh!" The cat themed hero cries out as he flies a long way, then hits a car before ricocheting to another car, then making like a human pinball and hitting a few more cars before finally landing in the street. Feeling embarrassed, Chat Noir groans in pain, while Ladybug lands on the nearby street corner and runs to him, intent on helping him.
"I thought cats always landed on their feet." Ladybug said as she leaned down and offered him a hand, which he took and she pulled him up.
"Why thanks, my Ladybug, but I had it covered." Chat Noir said, as he got back onto his feet, dusting himself off and right before he kissed Ladybug's hand, much to her shock.
"Huh?" Ladybug said in her surprise before she pulled her hand from his.
"No time for your childish charms, Cat Noir." The spotted heroine said as she pushed Cat Noir back by his nose and place her hands on her hips
"But you're welcome." Ladybug said, not noticing Stormy Weather had approached them on a gust of wind and now hovering a few feet away.
"We should be expecting lightning storms like right NOW!" Stormy Weather said right before she lifted her parasol towards the sky, sending a lightning blast to darken the sky with storm clouds and create lightning. A bolt of purple lightning then came right towards Chat Noir but Ladybug dived towards him to get them out of the way as they both screamed in surprise. The two of them roll a ways away from their previous spot, and land in an awkward position, with Chat Noir on top of Ladybug. When the cat boy lifted himself up, Ladybug blinked twice in surprise, with Cat Noir doing the same before he grins in an attempt to smooth things over. Ladybug merely gets over her shock and grabs his chin, turning his head and attention back towards Stormy Weather as she floats in the air a few feet away.
"You just won yourself a catfight!" Chat Noir said as he got up from his current position and back onto his feet; Ladybug doing the same; before running towards Stormy Weather.
"Black ice!" Stormy Weather said right before she uses her parasol to coat the street with ice, making Chat Noir lose his balance on the unexpected change, then creates another wind blast. The blast knocks Chat Noir, the cars lining the sides of the street and Ladybug back due to the non existent friction the ice caused, causing them to go flying. With quick thinking, Ladybug uses her yo-yo to grab onto a lamp post and hold on as the wind tries to blow her away, and spies Chat Noir in the chaos about to be sent away by the wind and into the accumulating pile of cars behind them.
"Gotcha!" Ladybug shouts through the wind as she grabs Chat Noir's tail and holds onto her yo-yo tightly before the wind suddenly stops, sending them crashing face first into the ground. They groan in pain as they recover from the wind attack. Meanwhile Stormy Weather is continuing her mission of destroying the city, with a ring of powerful wind assisting by pushing cars out of the way, until she sees a screen with Mireille, and blasts it with a smile before continuing on, while the two heroes land a ways behind her.
"A little Chat Noir will take the wind out of her sails!" Chat Noir said as he rolled his neck, crack his knuckles, and make a run towards Stormy Weather, but was stopped when Ladybug grabs him by his tail to stop him from doing anything reckless
"Whoa, kitty kitty. You better think before you leap." Ladybug said before she let go of his tail, causing him to lose his balance, and quickly recover.
"You got a plan?" Chat Noir said as he pets his tail while Ladybug puts her hands on her hips with a smile.
"Just follow my lead." Ladybug said as she turned to face the building to her right and ran toward it, jumped up onto the wall, and then ran along the face of a building, prompting Cat Noir to do likewise on the other side of the street. Meanwhile, Stormy Weather hears a commotion behind her and quickly looks to see what it was.
"Ugh..." Stormy Weather said in annoyance as she saw the two heroes coming towards her.
"Hoaaah!" Ladybug shouts out as she pulls out her yo-yo and leaps off the building, spinning her weapon in the air behind her as she hurtles towards the villain.
"Uhhhhh!" Chat Noir shouts as he copies Ladybug, down to a tee, save for his weapon being a bo staff that he spins above him as he launches himself at Stormy Weather.
"Not you again!" Stormy Weather said, right before she fires a windy blast at them, knocking them backward through the air, along with several vehicles.
"Ahhhhhh!" The two of them cry out as they are sent back to where they were when they were recovering from the last wind blast attack. Only this time, after they skid-landed onto the ground, they had to dodge a multitude of falling cars, until they managed to avoid all of them and catch their breath, only to look up.
"Huh?" Ladybug said as she and Chat Noir saw a bus about to crash onto them. Ladybug quickly grabs Chat noir to pull him close to her and uses her yo-yo as a shield. Her yo-yo cuts a circular hole on the side of the bus, saving Ladybug and Cat Noir from being crushed to death, despite their supersuits protecting them. As soon as the danger passed, Ladybug stopped spinning the yo-yo, only for it to fall onto Cat Noir's head.
"Ow!" Chat Noir siad, groaning out in pain as he rubs his head to alleviate the pain before sending an angry glare at Ladybug, making her giggle at his pouting face as he crouched to the ground.
Back over at the Place des Vosges, Alya is playing with Manon while trapped in the frozen merry-go-round, while firefighters are working to free them by hacking away at the ice dome with hatchets, and the two begin to play a game to keep themselves occupied.
"Lemonade, crunchy ice, hit it once, hit it twice, freeze!" Alya said, reciting a hand game rhyme with the corresponding hand moves while Manon followed, only to stop when saying 'freeze' making Manon lose... again.
"Hey, no fair, you always win, uni!" Manon said her arms crossed in front of her, right before the sound of ice cracking could be heard around them.
"What's that?" The five year old asked, feeling scared, as the icicles above them grew longer as the temperature outside dropped.
"It's... the big goblin king! He ate too much and split his shirt! Wahahaha!" Alya said, deepening her voice to better act out the character, trying to distract Manon before she playfully chases her out of the merry-go-round, only for them to stop as they heard the ice cracking above them again, causing them to look up and see the icicles growing longer.
"Wanna hear a story?" Alya asked nervously as she led Manon back under the merry-go-round canopy.
Meanwhile, in the city, Stormy Weather lands onto top of a random rooftop and looks out at the discord she had caused with a smile, only for Hawkmoth deciding that it was the right time to butt in.
"You showed them all who the real winner is, my weather girl. But now is the time for you to fulfill your part of the agreement. And here's my plan." Hawkmoth said, sounding like a creepy psychopath once more before saying his 'glorious' plan to his current villain.
Back over with Chat Noir and Ladybug, Ladybug reaches up to the window of the bus and pulls it open, before moving out of the way for Chat Noir to extend his stick out through the window, while Ladybug holds onto it and lands on the bus's side.
"Maybe she's got some anger issues!" Ladybug said as she used Chat Noir's bo staff pole as a lever to help lift the black cat out of the bus, and land on the tipped over side of it.
"Or she didn't pass her driving test" Chat Noir said as they jumped off of the tipped over bus, and landed on the ground. But before they could get any further, Ladybug's yo-yo started ringing. She pulled it out, and opened it, seeing that someone was calling her. And it wasn't just a random someone.
"Oh, come on. Not now." Ladybug said, bringing Chat Noir's attention to her.
"What is it?" Chat Noir asked, looking over her shoulder to try and see what she was worried about, but she just pulled her yo-yo away from him, feeling very nervous.
"Oh, it's nothing. Quick question, do you know how to speak English?" Ladybug asked, hoping that this black cat didn't know...
"Yes, as well as a few other languages." Chat Noir said with pride. Great... just great.
"Would one of those happen to be Italian?" Ladybug asked, hoping that her luck would give her that much.
"No, why?" Chat Noir asked, wondering why his partner was asking so many questions just for a phone call.
"Uh, it's sort of private. Could you give me a few minutes?" Ladybug asks which Chat Noir nods, allowing her to walk behind the tipped over bus with a smile, and opens her yo-yo and receives the video call from Jim.
"Non potevi scegliere momento peggiore per chiamarmi, Jim! (You could not have picked a worse time to call me, Jim!)" Ladybug said, frustrated and effortlessly transitioning from French to Italian. The reason why they know fluent Italian is because their grandmother on their dad's side was of Italian descent, and taught them how to speak it when she visited them when they were young and when Marinette's family were visiting Arcadia for the summer, making a stop in the sleepy town for the time they were there.
"Fammi indovinare, attacco Akuma? (Let me guess, akuma attack?)" Jim said in response, immediately seeing that it wasn't Marinette that answered, but Ladybug instead.
"Sì, Chat e io stiamo affrontando un akuma meteorologico. (Yeah, Chat and I are in the middle of dealing with a weather akuma.)" Ladybug said, explaining why she was so busy.
"Oh dang, quanto è brutto? (Oh dang, how bad it is?)" Jim said, worried about his sister, his big brother instincts kicking in, which he was proud of mind you. It meant that he cares about his family.
"Fino al punto che potremmo avere un inverno senza fine. (Up to the point that we might have an endless winter.)" Ladybug said, feeling exasperated about the situation. She would much rather talk to her brother over lunch/near bedtime than in the middle of dealing with an akuma.
"Wow, ho pensato che voi ragazzi avreste dovuto affrontare un akuma meteorologico ad un certo punto, ma sembra un po' troppo presto. Sei sicuro che voi due starà bene? (Wow, I figured that you guys would have to deal with a weather akuma at some point, but this seems a little too soon. Are you sure you two will be okay?)" Jim said, feeling worried about his little sister. Hey, this akuma sounded like a challenge, of course he was going to be worried, despite knowing that she could handle herself.
"Andrà tutto bene. Ti devo richiamare più tardi. (We'll be fine. I'll have to call you back later.)" Ladybug said, needing to get back in the game.
"Prometti di dirlo a me e a Tobes dopo? (Promise to tell me and Tobes about it afterwards?)" Jim said, hoping that she would give the deats afterwards.
"Obiettivamente. Ci sentiamo più tardi, fratello! (Obviously. Talk to you later, brother!)" Ladybug said, knowing that she would definitely tell them what had happened.
"Parla con te più tardi sorella. Addio. (Talk to you later sister. Bye.)" Jim said, as he waved goodbye through the screen with a smile.
"Addio. (Bye.)" Ladybug said, waving back at him before Jim ended the call, allowing her to close her yo-yo and put it back on her hip, before going back to Chat Noir. But she was surprised to see him practicing a moonwalk.
"Uh huh, oh yeah." Chat Noir said as he continued to moonwalk, and went right past her, as she just stood where she was, arms crossed in front of her, and immediately stopped his shenanigans, ending up tripping on his belt-tail, but managed to catch himself before face planting into the ground. Once he had his balance, he stood up straight and rubbed the back of neck out of a nervous habit.
"Um, how much did you see?" Chart Noir said, with a faint blush appearing on his checks, under the black mask. Had it not been there, Ladybug would see that the entire upper part of his face was a fire red.
"Not much, just the moonwalk. Why?" Ladybug asked, wondering why her partner... the boy who didn't seem to know the meaning of the word 'shame', or 'embarrassment'... was being so skittish.
"You have your secrets, I have mine." Chat Noir said, crossing his arms in front of his chest, and looking away from Ladybug to avoid her gaze that would surely make him talk if he looked into her eyes. He's that weak in his resolve when he's around her.
"Okay?" Ladybug said, seeing that he probably didn't want to talk about... whatever he was doing, and decided to get her head back into the game.
"Anyway, we should go and find Stormy Weather before she causes more chaos." The spotted hero said before she ran off down the street, with Chat Noir following behind before their attention was pulled away by the screen Stormy Weather had cracked earlier as she appeared on it.
"Hello, viewers! Here's the latest forecast for the first day of summer." Stormy Weather said from the cracked screen as she stepped backwards and used her parasol to point at a purple map of France.
"Looks like Mother Nature had a change of plans. Summer vacation is officially over!" The weather akuma enthusiastically said as a giant snowflake appears on the map.
"Already? But I look so good in a swimsuit." Chat Noir remarked, before he smiles and wiggles his eyebrows and nose at Ladybug, much to her slight confusion.
"The catsuit will do, thanks." Ladybug said, quickly recovering from her confusion and smiles at him as it begins to flurry around them.
"At least now we know where to find her." Ladybug said as she looked back at the screen in front of her. They immediately made their way to the KIDZ+ building, hoping to stop the akuma before she made France her personal winter wonderland.
"Prepare for the worst weather in history!" Stormy Weather announces from a screen inside the KIDZ+ building lobby as the two heroes enter, only to stop when Chat Noir sees a poster of Aurore.
"Hey! That girl reminds me of someone!" Chat Noir said, allowing Ladybug to put the pieces together as well as she looked from the poster and up at the screen above the lobby.
"It's her! The akuma must be in her parasol!" Ladybug said, right before they continued running towards the filming studio, and reached it, only to see it was locked.
"In Stormy Weather's world, it's Winter Wonderland FOREVER!" Stormy Weather says from the two screens flanking the studio doors, while Ladybug and Cat Noir enter the studio by kicking down the door and running in, but they see no one there, only the camera playing....
"It's a recording!" Ladybug said, right before Stormy Weather cackled from behind them; making them turn around to face her; lifted her parasol up and fired a lightning bolt at a light, making it fall to the ground towards the two heroes, who thankfully dive to avoid being hit. But all the lights go out in the building, making the studio pitch black as well, all while Hawkmoth was relishing his plan coming together from the safety of his lair.
"This is all going wonderfully according to plan. Soon their Miraculous will be mine. Bring them to me!" The wannabe Doctor Doom said to Stormy Weather before cutting off the link, making her giggle to herself before running off, while Chat Noir got up from the ground and saw her escape with his night vision.
"Frosty the Snowgirl's getting away!" Chat Noir said as he looked over at Ladybug through his green filled vision as she tried to find her way in the dark, only to trip on one of the fallen spotlights and fall to the ground.
"Oh, do I hear a damsel in distress?" The feline superhero said as he walked towards Ladybug to help her up from the ground.
"Some of us don't have night vision..."Ladybug said as she reached out into the darkness to find her partner, only for him to do that for her as he reached her.
"Whoa!" The spotted heroine cries out in surprise as Chat Noir grabs Ladybug's hand and runs out of the studio, down the hallway, leading her along the way.
"No need to bug out. Just trust me!" Chat Noir said as his green filled sight allowed him to lead the way towards the escaping villain.
Meanwhile, at the Place des Vosges, the snow flurry is getting worse, while Alya is telling a story to Manon as they sit in a Ladybug themed car on the merry-go-round.
"Then the cyclops monster picked the princess up in his hand and said, "Look into my eye!"" Alya said, making Manon laugh as she continued to tell the story.
"Then, gluck! She stuck a finger right in it!" The reporter said as the firefighters continued to try and break them out of the ice dome, but having no luck.
"As soon as she took a bite of the cursed potato, the poor princess fell into a deep, deep sleep." Alya said, right before an icicle breaks through the top of the merry-go-round.
"Hurry up, Ladybug..." The reporter said fearfully as she hugged Manon to comfort her.
Back at the darkened KIDZ+ building, Ladybug and Cat Noir; who continued leading her by the hand, are looking for Stormy Weather, using Cat Noir's night vision, and manage to follow her to the stairwell leading to the roof.
"Okay, that's enough. I think I can manage to–" Ladybug said as she was pulled up the stairs, only for Chat to look ahead and see Stormy Weather about to throw a fire extinguisher at them.
"Duck!" Chat Noir shouts out, just before the fire extinguisher canister thrown by Stormy Weather narrowly misses Ladybug, since she listens to the warning just in time and covers her head to be safe.
"--follow your lead on this one." Ladybug said as Chat Noir grabs her hand again and leads her to the door Stormy Weather exited out of and finally reached the top of the building, hand in hand as Stormy Weather floats high in the air above them.
"You airheads! You fell right into my trap!" Stormy Weather said, right before she opens her parasol and makes a whirlwind appear, making it surround the building to trap the heroes. Stormy Weather smiles at her handiwork while Hawkmoth once again re-established the mind link between the two of them.
"The time is now! Bring me the Miraculous!" Hawkmoth rants out for probably the hundredth time, before cutting off the link and letting Stormy Weather continue her part of the plan.
"There's no way out! Party's over, fools!" Stormy Weather shouted out, taunting the two heroes from her spot in the air.
"We're just–" Ladybug began to say, only to see Chat Noir still holding her hand, much to her annoyance as she turned to face him with an annoyed pout on her face.
"Heh-heh..." Chat Noir said nervously as he rubs the back of his head while he lets go of Ladybug, letting her pull her arm back to her.
"We're just getting started, Stormy!" Ladybug said right before she pulled out her yo-yo and called for her...
"!" The spotted heroine shouts out as her superpower gives her...
"A bath towel? What am I supposed to do with this?" Ladybug said as the random object landed into her awaiting hands.
"Great. So, we're about to be obliterated, but... At least we'll be dry." Chat Noir remarked, trying to make things seem less bleak, and to make a jab at her powers of random object conjuring.
"Just hold your whiskers." Ladybug said as she wrapped the towel around her right forearm and tucks the end into itself, while she looks up at Stormy Weather to be ready for her next attack.
"Hail!" Stormy Weather shouts out before raising her parasol into the air, making a hailstorm with softball sized hail appear. Chat Noir quickly pulls out his staff and grabs Ladybug, pulling her in front of him as she knelt to the ground as he spins his staff to make a shield and protect them from the hail.
"So what's the plan for getting the akuma back? My arm's starting to get a cramp!" Chat Noir shouts out as he continues to spin his staff, while Ladybug begins to make her plan. Looking around, her Lucky Vision lights up certain things on the roof; a metal pipe connecting to the main building, connected to a HVAC tube on the roof of the stairwell, a metal crane behind the HVAC tube, the bath towel around her arm, and the billboard sign in front of them; immediately knowing what to do.
"See that sign over there?" Ladybug said as she looked back up at Chat Noir, pointing over to the billboard in front of them.
"Check it out!" The spotted heroine said, making Chat Noir look at it and back at her, understanding her plan.
"All right. !" Chat Noir shouts out, summoning his power as he stops shielding them from the hail
"Hey, Coldilocks! Is that all you got?" the feline hero said, clenching his fist to keep his power contained as he taunted Stormy Weather and made her close her parasol and look down at him, just before he made his move. As Ladybug got back up to her feet, Chat Noir runs towards the billboard sign, arm trailing behind him as Stormy Weather attacks Cat Noir with lightning, but he merely dodges, changing directions to avoid being hit, even jumping onto the multiple components to the central air conditioning, and he makes it as Stormy Weather continues to blast at him. He then slides along the length of the billboard and uses his Cataclysm to corrode the main support of the sign, and makes the billboard fall down, its aim toward Stormy Weather. Ladybug then wraps her yo-yo around Stormy Weather's ankle, while the villain is occupied with saving herself, as she lifts her parasol up and blasts a hole into the falling poster of Aurore. As Stormy Weather escapes through the hole she made, and the corner of the sign crashes into the HVAC tube on the top of the stairwell knocking it off to reveal the vent underneath it, Ladybug takes off running under the pipe connected to the main building and against the slow rotating crane before jumping over the open HVAC vent. Opening the towel as she continues to hold her yo-yo in her hand, Ladybug soars in the air, pulling down Stormy Weather. Ladybug smiles as she hears and watches a screaming Stormy Weather falling past her, while the speed at which she falls and the angle of the crane cause her to lose her parasol, making fly into the air before Chat Noir jumps into the air and catches it, tossing it to Ladybug, who lets go of the towel, allowing her to return to the ground; just after Stormy Weather lands on her back on top of the Aurore sign; and catch the parasol.
'Get out of here, you nasty bug." Ladybug said as she breaks the parasol over her knee, and throws the remains to the ground, allowing the akuma to fly out and away from the parasol.
"No more evildoing for you, little akuma!" She said as she used her pointer finger to slide down the middle of her yo-yo to open it up to reveal the sparkling pool of cleansing energy inside. She then let it drop before she started to swing it in a circle behind her, intent on capturing the akuma as it creates a circle of pink light behind her.
"Time to de-evilize!" Ladybug cries out before she throws her yo-yo towards the escaping akuma, catching it in her yo-yo, as it closes back up, before bringing it back towards her.
"Gotcha" She said when she had the yo-yo back in her hand. A second later, she released the purified akuma, setting the white butterfly free.
"Bye, bye little butterfly." Ladybug said as the butterfly flew away. A second later, she grabs the towel and throws it into the air.
"Miraculous Ladybug!" She cries out, and no sooner than she did, the miraculous cure sweeps through the city, returning things back to normal. The damage that was caused is fixed, and turns the weather back to normal. It even sweeps to the Place des Vosges and around the glacier the merry-go-round is trapped in, making it start to melt.
"And after defeating the three-headed dragon with...Huh?...Taekwondo..." Alya said as she noticed that the ice dome was melting in a cloud of steam, much to her relief.
"Yeah!" A firefighter shouts out as they high-five their colleague next to them, glad that the two girls are freed from the icey prison.
"Princess kissed her Prince Charming and..." Alya said, continuing her story as she sweeps Manon into her arms, while walking away from the merry-go-round with a smile.
"They lived happily ever after?" Manon asked, wondering if the story ended like all other fairy tales.
"Uh, sure. Until they had a dozen or so little monkeys like you who drove them crazy!" Alya said, tapping the tiny girl's nose a few times as she spoke, making Manon giggle in response.
Back over at the KIDZ+ building Stormy Weather turns back into Aurore, who looks around confused when she sees that she's on the roof.
"Uh, what am I doing up here?" Aurore asked to herself, while Chat Noir and Ladybug stood a few feet away from her.
"Pound it!" The two heroes said as they fist-bumped, feeling proud of themselves for taking care of another supervillain.
Meanwhile, in Hawkmoth's lair, the resident super villain was once more enraged that his latest akuma, the most powerful one to date, was defeated, as he is surrounded by the white butterflies that fluttered around the lair.
"Someday, your Miraculous will be all mine. I don't care how many enemies I need to throw out to win, but I will be victorious!" Hawkmoth proclaims as the lair window closes up, leaving the middle-aged man in total darkness.

A while later, Marinette, runs back into the Place des Vosges and towards Alya and Manon while they wait at the merry-go-round, as Tikki pokes her head out from her purse.
"Hey, there's the photographer and Adrien waiting for you!" Tikki said as she pointed to the group in question as they were back at the fountain after the days events, making Marinette stop in her tracks to look at them
"You don't think it's too late?" Marintee asked her kwami as she looked down at Tikki; as she looked up at her owner from her hiding spot; wondering if she had missed her chance.
"Come on, Marinette. You saved Manon, and the whole world for that matter. Have some fun!" Tikki said, encouraging Marinette to take some time for herself, since she rarely did so.
"Marinette!" A voice calls out, making Marinette take her attention from her kwami.
"Huh?" Marinette asked herself as she looked for the source of the voice, only to see it was Manon who called her as she ran to her with Alya following behind, making Marinette crouch down and allowing the little girl to hug her as she held her in her arms.
"I know what your secret is!" Manon said in a sing-song voice, much to Marinette's panic.
"W-w-what secret?" Marinette stammers out, shocked that Manon could have found out that she was Ladybug.
"Ladybug is your best friend! That's how you both always know what the other one's gonna do!" Manon said, not knowing just how close she was to the truth, but was still so far away from finding out
"Huhhh... Phew!" Marinette said, relieved that no one had found out, as she hugged Manon tightly. But Marinette soon placed her back onto the ground and the three girls walked towards the photoshoot.
"Can I have a lollipop? Can I? Can I? Can I?" Manon asked repeatedly, hoping that Marinette would cave in. But she was in for a surprise when her babysitter said...
"No, Manon. I have something important to do. Alya, you'll watch her, yeah?" Marinette said, putting her foot down, much to Alya's pride as she gently grabbed Manon's hand and Marinette ran towards Adrien and the photoshoot that was about to commence.
"I'm ready for the photoshoot!" Marinette shouts out as she runs to the photographer, and Adrien; who seemed happy to have her there with him; but before she could even speak, the photographer had other ideas.
"Wait. Who is that angel?" Vincient said as he looked at Manon, ugaling at the adorable little girl. Manon looked around to her right, then left in confusion trying to see who it was that the photographer was referring to, only to realize it was her.
"Haha!" Manon giggles with a smile as she points to herself in understanding. A few seconds later, Vincent had Adrien posing with the little girl, taking photos of the two of them.
"Hohoho! Stupendous! Magnifico! Perfecto! ..." Vincent said as he continued to take Adrien and Manon's pictures, while Marinette could only watch in disappointment.
"Ughhh..." Marinette groans out in disappointment. So much for her chance to get closer to Adrien. Alya, seeing how upset her BFF was, wrapped her in a 'behind her back' hug and past her left shoulder, making Marinette smile. At least she had Alya. There would be plenty of other opportunities.

Over in Arcadia, Jim and Toby; who had come over for the day; were in the kitchen, ready to make an early lunch and late breakfast, just as Jim's phone buzzed. The boy pulls it out as he and Toby walk towards the kitchen counter, arms full of ingredients to make lunch.
"Is that the Parisian news?" Toby asked, just as he went to the cabinet, pulled out an enameled baking dish, and placed it on the counter, while Jim knelt down to another cabinet to get out a stockpot.
"Looks like it. Marinette said that the akuma was a weather themed one the last time we spoke" Jim said as he put the stockpot before opening up his phone to the Parisian News app, while Toby opened up a drawer to get a box grater. When Toby turned around and placed the box grater onto the counter, and stood next to Jim as he opened it up, but to their shock, they saw articles about an akuma named...
"Stormy Weather? Seriously?" Toby said, in both confusion and slight unbelievability, while Jim went to another cabinet to get more cooking equipment.
"This has to be the most abstract akuma name to date" Toby said, not believing that Hawkmoth had named an akuma based off of a state of nature, while Jim got out baking pans and cookie sheets, bowls, wooden spoons, measuring spoons, measuring cups, spatulas, whisks, pastry brushes, cookie scoops, microplane, silpats, parchment paper, wire racks, and electric mixer to make dessert.
"It is a surprise, Marinette didn't actually mention her name, just that she could control the weather." Jim said, bringing a shocked look to Toby's face.
"Are you freaking kidding me? She had time to talk to you during the attack, but she didn't mention the akuma's name?" Toby said, just as Jim turned to another drawer, pulling it open, and getting a small offset spatula, serving spatula, and oven mitts.
"Hey, uh, could you get the stuff I use to make salads, please?" Jim asked, bringing Toby out of his shock, while pointing towards another cabinet.
"Oh um, sure." Toby said as he went to the cabinet he pointed to, and gets a veggie peeler, chef's knife, bamboo cutting board, scrape shovel, food chopper, produce saver, salad spinner, salad bowl, salad tongs, and wood salad servers, and putting all of it onto the counter.
"Weird, I know. But hey, we can read the article while I get lunch ready" Jim said, really excited to find out more about the latest akuma.
"Sounds good. By the way, what's on the menu for today, Chief Jimbo?" Toby asked, as he began to walk towards his best friend, rubbing his hands together in anticipation of the delicious meal.
"We are making three cheese lasagna, with homemade pasta sauce, minced meat, with a cucumber and tomato side salad. And to top it all off, chocolate brownies for dessert." Jim said as he walked towards the counter, and rolled up his sleeves, ready to get cooking.
(Time Skip)
Night had fallen once more in the city, and once again, Marinette was sitting at her computer, tired from the day's events but was excited to share them with her brothers as she started making a crochet pattern for Toby's 'Geode Beanie', as she waited for her brother to call her.
Meanwhile in Arcadia, Jim and Toby were just putting the cooled brownies onto a plate, for when they finished eating the freshly cooked lasagna, that they had already cut portions for lunch and packed up the rest for later, and had already read the article of the akuma attack during their cooking. Or more like Toby helping with prep, and Jim doing the cooking. And to say that they found the akuma wicked powerful, was a severe understatement.
"I honestly think that Hawkmoth is trying to kill them at this point. I mean, it wouldn't be totally out of the realm of possibility." Toby said, the fact of Stormy Weather being the most powerful akuma to date, made him worry about Marinette;and to a lesser extent, Chat Noir's; safety. They could have been killed in that attack today.
"I'm starting to think that too, Tobes." Jim said as they took their plates, sat at the dining table to eat the fruits of their labor. As soon as everything was on the table, a second later, Jim pulls out his phone from his back pocket, pulling up Marinette's contact and dials it up.
"Time for our daily recap/update." Toby said as he went into the kitchen to grab their utensils, and side salads, and sat back down. As soon as they were settled, the video call opened up, making Marinette appear on the screen; stopping her project so Toby would be surprised when the time was right; smiling at them as he leaned his phone against the vase of flowers on the table so he didn't have to hold it the whole time.
"Hi boys, how are you?" Marinette asked, while the boys were simply bursting at the seams with questions, and the need for answers.
"I honestly think Hawkmoth is trying to kill you at this point" Toby said immediately after Marinette greeted them, causing her smile to grow bigger.
"Hello to you too, Tobes. And yes, I think he might be trying to as well. Stormy Weather was pretty intent on killing, or at the very least, severely hurting us" Marinette said, thinking how powerful the day's akuma was, and how close they were to biting the big one, quite a few times as well.
"Yeah, she was." Jim said as he started to dig into his lasagna, with Toby doing the same, although, a little more messy. The boy's cooking was delicious, of course he would be a little messy at times... if not all the time.
"You think? I still say Hawkmoth was crazy to even akumatize her. She sounded nuts" Toby said, bringing a smile onto Marinette and Jim's faces, his mouth smeared with pasta sauce.
"I don't think that's the case, considering he is intent on taking our miraculous, but are you guys ready for the more exciting side of the story?" Marinette asked, already knowing that the boys would say...
"YES!!! OF COURSE!!" The two of them said, causing Marinette to smile, while they dug into more of their lunch.
"Okay, so starting off before Jim called me during the akuma, I had woken up this morning, intent on doing some productive work on a project, but I was suddenly charged with babysitting Manon for the entire afternoon." Marinette said, causing her brothers to wince at her bad fortune. They heard from Marinette how much of a little terror the five-year-old could be, and they promised themselves to not get stuck with babysitting her if the day came.
"Manon? Oh boy, I'm guessing it was another 'you couldn't say no' deal?" Jim asked knowing full well what his sister was like. Always eager to please those around her. Marinette rolled her eyes at his remark.
"You don't need to rub it in, Jim. I know that I'm a pushover. Heck, Alya even mentioned it today as well." Marinette said, peaking the boy's interest.
"Alya came over today?" Toby asked as he finished off his lasagna.
"Yeah, she came to tell me that Adrien was at the park next to my house, doing a photoshoot" Marinette said, telling the two boys the story of her day, while Jim finished his lasagna and they both started to eat their salads, halving the contents in the salad bowl and putting it onto their plates.
"And I'm guessing you and her brought Manon with you so you could try and talk to him." Jim said as he swallowed a mouthful of salad.
"Yep. So after I tried to get him to notice me, which worked to a degree, and ended up staring at him for a while before Manon demanded a balloon, interrupting the photoshoot, and forcing me to compile so they wouldn't get angry." Marinette explained what had happened, which caused her brothers to laugh all of a sudden, making Marinette confused.
"What's so funny?" She said, not understanding why the two were laughing so hard.
"What's funny is that you were being bossed around by a five year old girl." Toby manages to say as he wipes away a stray tear from his eyes, Jim doing the same.
"You have to admit, it's kind of funny, when you think about it." Jim said as he caught his breath, clutching onto his sides as he tried to calm down, while Marinette glared at them in response. They were wrong, it was not funny.
"Okay, yeah, laugh it up. Anyways, so after I got her tha balloon, Manon then wanted to go on the merry-go-round and pulled out the 'Baby Doll' eyes on me, and I gave in. But when me and her were about to get on the merry-go-round, Alya ran to me and said that they needed an extra to pose with Adrien in the photoshoot." Marinette said, making Jim choke on his food in shock. Did his little sister really have more game than him?
"Oh man dude, she's got more game than you." Toby said, much to Jim's annoyance as he cleared his windpipe. Apparently she did.
"Don't get too excited yet, boys. Anyway, Alya then volunteered to look after Manon while I went to try and whoo Adrien. But before I could, Stormy Weather chose that time to attack the park, terrifying the civilians there, and trapping Manon and Alya in an ice dome." Marinette said, shocking the two boys.
"Seriously? That's messed up, they didn't do anything to her to even warrant that." Jim said, shocked that Alya and Manon were subjected to something so horrible.
"Yeah, it was messed up. I transformed and tried to break them free, but it was no use, my yo-yo couldn't cut through the ice. So after assuring them, I left to defeat the akuma and met up with Chat Noir after he had encountered Stormy Weather, ending him up on the ground after a game of human pinball." Marinette said, making the boys chuckle at the mental image, with Marinette joining in as well.
"Yeah, it was a little funny. Anyway, after that, we battled Stormy Weather and that ended with us trapped in a bus as she left to cause havoc. We had just gotten out when Jim called me, and I had to step to the side and break out my Italian to keep him from understanding the conversation. But after that, we figured out where Stormy Weather was when she sent out a broadcast from the T.V. station, and went to abush her. But it was a trap, and Stormy Weather killed the lights before running off, making Chat Noir lead us through the dark with his night vision. He kept leading until we reached the roof, where we confronted Stormy Weather inside the eye of a hurricane. We managed to defeat her with the bath towel, the lucky charm gave me, using it as a parachute to lift me into the air while I held my yo-yo as it was wrapped around Stormy Weather's ankle, pulling her back down to earth from her spot flying in the sky, grabbing her parasol, destroyed it, released the akuma and returned everything back to normal." Marinette said, finishing the akuma part of the story, while Jim and Toby finished their salads.
"That's great. Though, that had to be a very difficult akuma to deal with." Toby said, as he went into the kitchen to get the brownies from the counter.
"She was the most powerful villain to date, of course it was difficult." Marinette said, since she did not really have fun with this akuma. The wind attack from earlier alone left bruises.
"Speaking of the akuma, what happened after?" Jim asked as Toby came back and placed the plate of brownies onto the table, sat back down, and they started to eat the brownies, while a tense smile soon bloomed on their sister's lips.
"I got back to the park, and Alya and Manon were freed from the ice dome, and after that, I tried to join the photoshoot, but..." Marinette said, trailing off and bringing confused looks to her brother's faces.
"What happened?" Toby asked as he and Jim finished half of the brownies; so quickly that it was scary; since... Marinette always seemed to always get the short end of the stick.
"The photographer saw Manon and had her pose with Adrien in the photoshoot." Marinette said, looking down to the ground, not wanting to see her brother's reactions over the... turn of events. They couldn't keep themselves from laughing.
"Oh my god... seriously? That is... the most... hilarious incident to date" Jim manages to say through his laughter, much to Marinette's annoyance as she waits for them to stop.
"You done?" Marinette asked, still waiting for them to stop.
"Yeah, we're done." Toby said, catching his breath, and looked back to the phone with a smile with Jim soon following.
"Looks like I still have more game than you, sis?" Jim said, to which Marinette rolled her eyes at the comment.
"You? Have more game? Please, you can't even go near Claire without melting into a pile of goo" Marinette said, which made Toby start to laugh his heart out. The two's interactions when it comes to their crushes... it was priceless, and he had a front row seat for all of it.
"Thank god that he decided to place two highly awkward siblings in my life. This is too much!!" Toby said through his laughter trying to calm down enough to continue the conversation, causing Marinette and Jim's eyes to widen in shock.
"Toby!!!" the siblings said, just as Jim's mom just walked into the dinning room, all dressed for a day in the hospital, causing the two boys to groan in disappointment once again. Their days had become much more interesting since Marinette had become Ladybug. She brought excitement to them, even if they weren't present for said excitement.
"Hey boys, I hope you slept well. Hello Marinette." Barbara said with a smile as she grabbed her bag, looking like she had been called in at the last minute; while she waved at her son's sister.
"Hey, Aunt Barbara, the boys sure did sleep well. Are you heading into the hospital?" Marinette asked, seeing that she seemed to be getting ready to leave.
"Yes, Wanda called me in for an emergency. Some boy had accidentally split open his wrist in a bike crash." Barbara said, causing the three of them to wince at the description.
"Yeah, I know. But while I'm gone, Jim, I need you to clean the living room." Barbara said, causing Jim to groan, but nod his head.
"Got it, Mom." Jim said, right before he picked up the plates from the table, and walked back to the kitchen, which allowed Barbara to steal one of the leftover brownies from the plate, and take a bite out of it.
"Mmm, delicious as always, honey." Barbara said, before she started to walk to the door, and Jim was wrapping up the leftover brownies for a later date.
"See you tonight, boys. It was nice seeing you, Marinette." The brown-orange haired doctor said as she waved at Jim; who was looking over at her through the counter window to the kitchen; Toby as he sat at the table, and at Marinette through the phone screen.
"Nice seeing you too, Aunt Barbara." Marinette said, waving through the screen with a wide smile. She always liked seeing her aunt, even if it was through a screen.
"See ya, Doctor L." "Bye, Mom." Toby and Jim said at the same time as they waved goodbye as she walked through the door and out of the house, leaving the kids alone.
"Looks like we got to go, Mari. We'll talk to you tonight" Toby said, turning to the phone as it sat on the table.
"That's okay. I've just got to talk to Jim about something and then go to sleep anyway." Marinette said, stifling a yawn with her hand and stretching her arms above her head, while Jim peaks out through the counter window to join back up with the conversation.
"What do you mean, talk to me about something" Jim asked, as he took care of cleaning the plates, and was about to start on the dishes from the earlier cooking spree.
"Si tratta di una sorpresa per Toby. (It's about a surprise for Toby.)" Marinette said as she tried not to give away her reason for asking Jim to speak to her in private. Hopefully Toby wouldn't want to pry.
"Okay, she is speaking in Italian, and I know that's your guy's thing. I'll take care of the dishes, you two talk." Toby said, pushing Jim away from the sink and took over for him, knowing when they started to speak in Italian, it was meant to be between the two of them until they decided to tell others.
"Thanks Tobes." Jim said before heading into the dining room, and sitting at the table, ready to talk.
"Ok, di cosa si tratta 'una sorpresa per Toby'? (Okay, what is this about 'a surprise for Toby'?) Jim asked, looking at his sister as she pulled out the 'Geode Beanie' she was crocheting before they called her, as well as the drawing she made the night before.
"Sto realizzando per Toby una versione più casual del "Geode Hat" che può indossare con il suo abbigliamento normale. E ho anche in programma di realizzare il "Geode Hat" per il suo compleanno e di inviarglielo. (I'm making Toby a more casual version of the 'Geode Hat' that he can wear with his normal attire. And I'm also planning to make the 'Geode Hat' for his birthday and send it to him.)" Marinette said as she showed him the design she had planned. The beanie itself was a dark gray, and resembled the 'Geode Hat' in the design of the geode crown, but it would all be crocheted, making it a much more casual version of the haute couture derby hat Marinette had designed earlier. All in all, Jim was impressed, and slightly jealous.
"Sembra incredibile!! Toby lo adorerà! E ad essere sincero, sono un po' geloso. Ottiene un cappello di alta moda e una versione a berretto. Cosa ottengo? (It looks amazing!! Toby is going to love it! And to be honest, I'm a little jealous. He gets a haute couture hat, and a beanie version of it. What do I get?) Jim asked, griping that Toby seemed to be getting the best swag out of the two of them, making Marinette roll her eyes at him. If he would only be patient...
"Ho alcune cose in lavorazione anche per te, non preoccuparti. Ma mi conosci, non sto dando spoiler quando è il tuo regalo. Perché pensi che volessi parlarti in italiano? Non volevo che Toby lo scoprisse. (I've got some stuff in the works for you too, don't worry. But you know me, I'm not giving any spoilers when it's your gift. Why do you think I wanted to talk to you in italian? I didn't want Toby to find out.)" Marinette said, reassuring Jim that he wasn't left out of the loop. Like she would forget about her big brother.
"Accidenti, mi hai tenuto lì per un secondo. Ma in tutta serietà, Toby adorerà il cappello e il berretto. Scommetto che inizierà a indossare il berretto il prima possibile. (Whew, you had me there for a second. But in all seriousness, Toby's going to love the hat and beanie. I bet he's going to start wearing the beanie as soon as possible.)" Jim said, bringing a smile to Marinette's lips. That was the plan after all.
"Grazie Jim. Sai sempre cosa dire. Bene, quando si tratta di questo genere di cose. Sai cosa intendo. (Thanks Jim. You always know what to say. Well, when it comes to this sort of thing. You know what I mean.) Marinette said, making a little jab at his inability to not be able to talk to Claire. But then again, she wasn't much better. Maybe it was genetic.
"Pot calling the kettle black sis." Jim said, switching back to English, just as Toby finished the dishes.
"Yeah, I know." Marinette said with a sly smile on her face as she looked at the time, seeing that they had been talking for a while. It might have been the weekend for Jim and Toby, but she had school tomorrow.
"Oh man, it's gotten so late. I can't miss any more sleep or I won't be able to function at all tomorrow." Marinette said as Toby walked to the table and sat down next to Jim.
"Yeah, and nobody wants to see that." Toby said, knowing full well what Marinette was like when she didn't get any sleep. It was not pretty.
"Ha ha, very funny." Marinette said, slightly annoyed with how they knew just how to roast her.
"We'll see you tomorrow, sis." Jim said as he reached for his phone and brought it closer to them.
"See you guys later. Bye boys." Marinette said, waving at them through the screen with a smile.
"Bye, Mari." The boys said, waving back right before the screen turned black, signaling the call was over.
"So, what did you two talk about?" Toby asked, making Jim turn his head to his best friend in surprise.
"What, like I wouldn't ask about what you guys were talking about. Especially when it's about me" Toby said, making Jim shake his head in fondness. Of course he would ask.
"Not saying anything, you'll just have to wait." Jim said, much to Toby's disappointment as he groans out in protest.
"Oh, come on Jimbo!" Toby said, making Jim smile and walk back into the kitchen to start on cleaning the living room, with Toby slouching in the chair in an attempt to convince him to have mercy on him. Unfortunately, he knew all of Toby's tricks, and was immune to them by now.
Back over in Paris, Marinette had put her project away, climbed into her loft, and crawled under her covers to fall asleep, ready to start a new day.A/N: Hey guys, so to explain the changes to the previous chapters, I've started working with Daemon_Targaryen13; who is a commenter on Ao3 that brought up some good ideas for the series I've got planned; that has been a huge help with editing both previous and future chapters, improving the plot planned for this series; which includes taking out a few of Miraculous episodes to help the flow of the story move a bit faster so we can get to the more exciting parts coming up; and offering new ideas that I haven't thought of. So we are going to be working together for the rest of the series, and we hope that you will like the series we have planned. Hope to see you in Lady Wifi.
