A/N: So sorry for this chapter coming in so late. But hopefully, this chapter was worth the wait for you guys.

(4 days later)

The rest of the week had passed with little to no incidents for the students of Françoise Dupont, but the same couldn't be said about Marinette and Adrien. Hawkmoth was putting them through the ringer, with an akuma every two nights, the previous night being the most recent. It was a miracle that they got any sleep, or that Marinette managed to be there for her nightly calls to her brothers. But at the moment, they were hoping for a nice, quiet day at school. And that all went out the window when Mr. Damocles came in to make an announcement that included a slideshow, which immediately piqued Marinette's interests.

"You only have one day to work on your fashion piece, and it must be your own design." Mr. Damocles said as he faced the class as they attentively listened, Marinette more than the others since she was the resident fashion designer.

"In ten hours your fittest presentation will be judged by none other than the great fashion designer Gabriel Agreste..." The principal said as Ms. Bustier grabbed a remote for the presentation behind her desk and pressed a button on it to make a picture of the fashion designer appear on the screen, and Mr Damocles to adjust his stance to gesture towards the presentation.

"... the father of our very own student Adrien Agreste." Mr Damocles said, gesturing towards Adrien, causing the boy to scratch the back of his neck in slight embarrassment, and shyness.

"In fact, Adrien will model the winning design in his next photoshoot." The principal continues to say, explaining the contest, while Nino softly jabs his elbow into Adrien, in an encouraging way, while Marinette's excitement turned into pure joy, and her pupils figuratively turned into hearts while turning to face Alya with a smile, to which she responded with a smile of her own, and a calming hand on her best friends shoulder, while the principal continues talking.

"And now, to announce this year's theme:..." Mr Damocles said, getting to the requirements for winning the contest, causing Ms. Bustier to change the picture on the presentation screen, from the man who believes himself to be a decent father, to a picture of what looked like a...

"Derby hats." The principal said, which caused Marinette's joy to take a sudden drop as she glanced over at Alya

"Derby hats?" Marinette asked, confused as to why the theme was such a... unique choice, before she glanced over at Chloé as she looked at them and made an exaggerated thumbs-down at her. Yeah... this was not going to be pretty.

(Time skip)

Class had been let out early so the students could complete the challenge with ample time, but that didn't help Marinette as she paced in the courtyard, looking at her sketchbook and frantically talking to Alya as she sat crossed legged on a bench, watching her friend having a hard time while resting her head in hands as they sat on her thighs by her elbows.

"Derby hat? Derby hat? Derby hat? Derby hat...! I don't have any derby hat designs." Marinette said as she paced in front of the observing Alya, who brought her head from her hands and straightened up as she continued to watch Marinette.

"I've got top hats, caps, even two-horned hats! Need a beret? I'm your girl. A sombrero? No problem-o. But a derby?!" Marinette said as mimes the corresponding hats as she lists them off; causing Alya to giggle at her antics; before she looks back down at her sketchbook in panic.

"You know what? It won't even matter, 'cause I'll probably make a total fool of myself at the event, most likely trip over my stupid derby and collapse on Mr. Agreste; give him a full-blown concussion and Adrien will hate me! I'll never be a world-renowned fashion designer. MY LIFE IS OVER!" The poor girl said, spiraling as she imagined the most ridiculous worst scenario she could come up with before falling to her knees in front of Alya and collapsing onto her head onto the reporter's lap, making her laugh once more. Leave it to Marinette to freak herself out.

"All this over a derby hat?" Alya said as she pulled Marinette up from her lap, making her look her right in the eye, giving her a comforting smile.

"Let me see your sketchpad, girl." The reporter said, to which Marinette immediately complied and handed over the pink book to her best friend, who opened it as soon as it was in her hands.

"There must be something in here." Alya said as she started going through the book while Marinette got up from her knees, and sat next to her.

"Forget it, I'm a disaster zone. I'll probably mess everything up in the end." Marinette said as she brought her legs up onto the bench to hide her face behind them, while Alya rearranged her sitting position to place the book on the corner of the bench and lean over it to get a better look at the designs, all while both of them not noticing Adrien as he walked over to them.

"Wow, Alya..." Adrien said, bringing both girls attention to him as he leans on the wall in front of Alya, using is left hand to keep him away from the brick, as she and Marinette looked up to see him, though Marinette panics and clumsily hides behind the other end of the bench.

"... those are some awesome designs. I didn't know you had such mad skills." The boy model said, impressed by the amount of skill it had taken for someone to draw up such unique designs. But unfortunately, his praise was going to the wrong person, so Alya had to fix that.

"Uh, thanks Adrien, but I can't take the credit. These sick designs belong to Marinette." Alya said, turning to gesture towards Marinette as she peeked up from her 'hiding place' and gave him a weak, embarrassed wave, with a tense smile.

"Off the chain, right?" The reporter said as she leaned back against the bench, as she looked proudly at her best friend, while Adrien was immediately blown away by Marinette's talent.

"You're super talented, Marinette. You seriously have a good chance of winning." Adrien said, praising the young designer; who usually goes catatonic around the boy; as she stood up from her hiding spot.

"Well, um, yeah! I... like-- um, designs that-- um,"Marinette said, trying not to sound too much like a fool; while failing miserably; while Alya gives her an encouraging thumbs up to Marinette, who unfortunately thinks it's a motion to interpret, and takes it as such.

"go... upwards?" She said, confusing both Adrien and Alya, but the girl recovered quickly and tried to tell Marinette to stop with a crossed out gesture, but that didn't go so well.

"Um, while stopping... I mean, uh-- uh, um, thanks?" Marinette finally manages to say, while Alya hides her face in her hands, not wanting to continue whitenessing Marinette's stuttering any more. But thankfully, Adrien; in his wholesome cinnamon roll self; just smiled and scratched the back of his head.

"Sure, and uh-- good luck. Maybe I'll be wearing your derby at father's next photoshoot." Adrien said leaving a shocked Alya, and a goofy-smiling Marinette as he walked away from the two girls, with Marinette's gase following him as he did so. Meanwhile Alya got up from the bench and walked up to her, as Marinette snapped out of her patented 'Adrien Stare'.

"Girl, you gotta get a grip next time." Alya said, her hands on her hips, and causing Marinette to embarrassingly rub the back of her head when Alya pulled her out of her staring, only for Alya to excitedly clench her fists and bring them near her chest with a smile.

"But did you hear? Adrien thinks you're good enough to win!" The reporter excitedly said, as they jumped up into the air as they cheered. But unknown to them, Chloé and her 'friend' Sabrina had watched the interaction from the other side of the courtyard. And to say Chloé wasn't happy was an understatement... She was livid.

"Did you hear how impressed Adrien was with Marinette's desi–" Sabrina began to ask, only for her to be interrupted by the angry Chloé as she continued to look over at the two celebrating girls, leaning against a metal pole.

"Of course I heard! Her? Win the contest? As if." Chloé said, as she glanced at Sabrina and back at Alya and Marinette while she spoke.

"When Adrien sees my design he'll convince his father to award me the winner. Hm!" The heiress said, turning to look back at Sabrina before pointing to herself, leaning down to get into Sabrina's personal space, before going back to lean against the metal pole, and looking back at the two girls.

"I'm sure he will, Chloé. You're a born champion. Your design will blow everyone else's out of the water!" Sabrina encouragingly said, trying to continue being on Chloé's good side, if she even had one.

"Yeah, it will. As soon as I can get my hands on the sketchpad!" Chloé said as she watched Alya give Marinette her sketchbook back. Back at the bench, as soon as Alya gave the book back, she checked her phone, to see the countdown she had on it, changed into 09:00:00.

"Only have nine hours until show time." Alya said as she watched the countdown continue, which suddenly made Marinette nervous.

"Yikes! I'm off to my secret garden of inspiration." Marinette said as she began walking backwards as she spoke, not aware of her surroundings since she was about to walk right into a wall .

"I'll see you later." The designer said as she turned around, only to run into the wall. But she quickly recovered and ran towards the exit.

"AH! I'm okay. I'm okay, I'm okay." Marinette said as she ran past the door, almost running into another wall, then yelped before she changed directions, and ran out the door, all while Alya chuckled at the girl's antics.

Meanwhile in Hawk Moth's lair, the resident supervillain of the city, once again stands in the middle of his lair, just as the large window opens, stirring the resting butterflies from the floor, making them start to flap around in the air around the desperate old man.

"The time has come for us to find our next victim, my wicked little akumas. And to prey upon Ladybug and Cat Noir. Their Miraculouses must be mine!" Hawkmoth said, speaking to the white butterflies as they flutter around the lair, using their presence as an excuse to talk to himself like he always did.

(Time skip)

A little while later, Marinette had made it to her 'Secret Garden of Inspiration'; aka Trocadero; and was sitting on the steps that offered a front row seat view of the Eiffel Tower, trying to get inspired to draw some designs. But as she finished drawing an Eiffel Tower inspired derby hat, she rips the paper out and starts again.

"Geez, it's hard to be creative under pressure." Marinette said to both her kwami and to herself as she re-drew the derby hat outline to start the process over again.

"Marinette, you save the world under pressure. I think designing a hat should be a piece of cake!" Tikki said as she pokes her head out of Marinette's purse, offering encouragement and support to help Marinette.

"Hm, a cake derby hat. Stylish and tasty." Marinette, right before they chuckled at the idea, and Marinette kept drawing new designs in her sketchbook; sticking the tip of her tounge out in concentration, which was an unconscious habit she picked up over the years; but ripped them out, on the account that they didn't seem quite right, all while the discarded designs were crumpled up and formed into a pile. After a while, she then checked the time to see it was close to noon, which meant Jim would call her soon. Probably with Toby since it was Thursday over on their end and they decided to have a sleepover for a project they were working on for class. Maybe they would have some ideas. Toby definitely had a lot of creative and fun ideas. Like during the summer when Jim was busy with helping Aunt Barbara, and Toby took her to the museum to see a rock and geode exhibit. Now there were some amazing pieces on display, Marinette even believed at the time she could make something inspired by them, like a dress, or a suit, or maybe a... hat. Immediately after she thought of it, Marinette went into a frenzy, drawing out the outline for her idea.

"Whatcha drawing this time Marinette?" Tikki asked, as she peaked out of Marinette's purse, watching her draw out the derby hat idea.

"Well, when I looked at the time, I saw that Jim is going to be calling soon, with Toby since they are having a sleepover. Then I thought about how Toby has some pretty cool ideas, and then remembered when he took me to a rock show at the Arcadia museum last summer. I was so inspired by the pieces on display that I wanted to design something inspired by them, but never got around to it. Now I can. So I'm making good on that, and seeing how it would look with this type of hat design." Marinette said, as she kept looking at the page of her sketchbook, not wanting to lose focus while drawing with her tongue tip sticking out once more, while Tikki looked at her holder in amazement.

"That sounds amazing!" Tikki said with a smile as Marinette continued drawing the 'Geo Hat' onto her page. She was well into the design when the clock turned noon, and right on que, her phone started buzzing. Tikki was about to tell Marinette, but the designer beat her to it, and pulled out her phone from her purse with her left hand while she continued to flesh out the design. Tikki watched as Marinette placed the phone on the unoccupied side of her sketchbook with what seemed like practiced ease and answered the video call, all without looking away from her project. A second after Marinette answered the call, both Jim and Toby showed up on the screen.

"Hey boys, how are you?" Marinette said, as she continued drawing, much to the boy's fondness. This wasn't the first time they had called Marinette when she was designing. But this time, there was a little bit of confusion.

"Hey sis. We are doing good, but it was another boring day at school. But what about you? Shouldn't you be at school?" Jim asked, seeing as the resting phone was angled to show Trocadero to them.

"Yeah, MariFariy. We know that Trocadero is your 'Garden of Inspiration' but it takes a few minutes to get there from your school. But you look like you've been there for a while? Are you playing hooky?" Toby asked, considering that they were right, it took at least 10 minutes to get to Trocadero, and she answered right when it was supposed to be lunch time.

"No, I'm not playing hooky. My school is doing a design contest, sponsored by Gabriel Agreste, and we had been given a day to complete an original derby hat design. The winner will have the hat featured in his next photo shoot, worn by Adrien!!!" Marinette said, practically squealing in excitement as she explained, all while not looking away from the near complete design, while the boys looked at her shock.

"WHAT, NO WAY!! That's amazing!" Jim shouts out, happy that Marinette has this opportunity to not only get her name further out in the fashion industry, but also get closer to Adrien. Hey... these two are disasters when it comes to talking to their crushes without looking or sounding like fools... they need all the help they can get.

"Yeah, Mari, you can do this! Your designs will outshine everyone else's." Toby said excitedly, knowing that Marinette was obviously going to be the winner. I mean come on, who else?

"Thanks Toby. And you should know that the current design I'm drawing right now, is inspired by that rock show we saw during the summer. It's about time I made good on that." Marinette said as she was putting the finishing touches on the design, while Toby's excitement seemed to grow, as he pushed Jim away from the screen and got close enough that Marinette could see the inside of his nostrils if she was looking at the phone, instead of focusing on her design.

"Really? You're really doing the illusive 'Geode Design'?" Toby asked, making Marinette giggle as she made the final stroke of her pencil, and looked back at her phone, only to be surprised to see the numerous boogers up Toby's nose.

"Toby, back up from the screen, please? I can see your crusty boogers." Marinette said, to which Toby backs up sheepishly, which allowed Jim to appear on the screen again.

"Thank you. And yes, I am. Want to see it?" Marinette asked, making the boy's eyes light up. It was rare for them to see Marinette's amazing designs when she wasn't over in Arcadia during the summer. So obviously their answer was...

"Uh, is that even a question? Of course!" Both of them said, making Marinette smile as she picked up her phone, and pressed the camera button to switch from selfie mode to camera mode, allowing them to see the design she had made. The derby hat drawing was covered in what looked like small drawings of flat Swarovski crystals, and shimmering embroidery made to look like real different size and colored geodes, placed on the hat to mimic a non-symmetrical crown; to further express the uniqueness of geodes; with a miniature white Swarovski crystal geode as a little extra accessory on the left side of the hat. At the sight of it, Toby's eyes lit up with joy, and Jim was blown away.

"So, what do you guys think?" Marinette asked, wondering what they; as well as Tikki; thought of her design attempt.

"It's AWESOMESAUCE, MARI!! I already knew that when you said that you'd create a geode design, that it would be amazing, but I didn't think it would be this amazing. It's going to win for sure!" Toby said, making Marinette smile, while Jim nods in agreement.

"He's right, it's amazing! I honestly want to wear it when it's done." Jim said, which made Marinette's smile even bigger.

"They are right. It's a masterpiece." Tikki said, bringing Marinette's attention to her kwami as she peaked out of the purse, which the boys immediately knew, considering that was the only sane reason why. Well... sane to them anyway.

"I'm assuming Tikki is telling you the same thing as us, and if so, she's right." Toby said, making Marinette switch the camera back to selfie mode, and smiled back at them.

"Thank you guys. I really appreciate it. But while it's a good idea, I only have a limited amount of time before the deadline. And if guys noticed, most of the details on the hat are..." Marinette began to say, to which the boys immediately caught onto.

"Swarovski crystals." Both of them said, considering that they had picked up quite a bit of fashion knowledge over the years Marinette had developed her skills.

"Yes, and those take forever to sew onto anything. It would take up a lot of time. I would love to make it for the contest, but I can't." Marinette said, disappointed that she wouldn't be able to create this hat just yet.

"Fair enough. But at least keep the design for another project." Toby said, not wanting Marinette to throw away such a good design, making Marinette smile as she turned to the next blank page in her sketchbook.

"Don't worry. I'm not getting rid of this design. I'll get to bring it to life one of these days, promise." Marinette said as she looked back at her phone before putting it back onto the unoccupied side of her sketchbook, while Toby and Jim smiled.

"Awesome! But what are you going to do now?" Jim asked, worried that Marinette might not have an entry for the competition now.

"I'm not sure, but I know it will come to me. I just have to be patient." Marinette said before she picked up her phone and brought it closer to her.

"In the meantime, you guys want to help me find some inspiration?" She asked, bringing bid smiles to the both of them. Sure they did help inspire Marinette with a few designs, but that was like a few designs over the years, compared to all that she had done. But like they would say no to helping Marinette create a new masterpiece.

"Of course!" The both of them said, making Marinette giggle at their antics with a smile before switching back to camera mode and moving the phone around so they could spot anything that they thought would help. It was at least five minutes of searching that passed before a man walking like a bird sat down on a bench ahead of Marinette, leaving her curious.

"Hey guys, is that who I think that is?" Marinette asked as she moved her phone to show the... unique man on the beach in front of her as he took out a brown paper bag and a bird call whistle. A second later, he brought the whistle to his mouth and blew out of it; the resulting sound a pigeon coo; causing a cluster of pigeons to surround him, even making Marinette dodge one while Jim saw that it was indeed...

"Is that Mr. Ramier?" Jim asked, remembering the man from a past visit to Paris a few years back when he and Toby came from Arcadia. Long story short, it was one of their most memorable 'Arcadia Oaks Troublemakers' incidents. They accidentally barreled into him as he was feeding the pigeons in the park next to Marinette's house, which caused a bit of a panic among the birds, making them fly off and poop on unsuspecting park goers out of fear. Let's just say that he wasn't very happy after that. But that was then, and this was now. And right now, he was happily throwing bread crumbs into the air, allowing them to land on the ground for the hungry pigeons.

"Well, happy day, happy day! Splendid is the afternoon day." Mr. Ramier said with a smile as a pigeon landed on his outstretched, bent arm.

"Yep, that's him. Mr Pigeon seems to be doing fine since that incident." Toby said as Mr. Ramier scratched under the pigeon's beak while it was perched on his arm.

"Ah, Edgar, you fancy one."Mr. Ramier said as he fed Edgar the pigeon a couple of bread crumbs before the bird jumped up into the air and flew in a circle in response, leaving the man giddy.

"Fantastic, dazzling performance." The man the Marinette and her brothers often referred to as 'Mr. Pigeon' said as said girl and boys watched him with a fond smile, while a police officer; Officer Roger; approaches him, startling the surrounding pigeons.

"Scram, you winged rats!" Officer Roger said as he walked up to Mr. Ramier, scaring the pigeons as he did so, before he stood in front of the bird loving man, arms behind his back, looking like a grumpy old man.

"How many times do you need to be told, Mr. Ramier? No! FEEDING! The pigeons!" The officer said, while firmly pointing at the man as he said so, before grabbing the bag of food from the bench and holding it up into the air, and pointing at it.

"It's strictly forbidden. If everyone feeds them, they'll leave their waste everywhere!" Officer Roger said, as he once again held his arms behind his back, hiding the bag of food with it, while Marinette, Tikki, Jim and Toby watched with pity from their spot on the steps.

"But, who's going to feed my poor pigeons?" Mr Ramier said, trying to speak up against the stubborn officer

"All the park keepers know about you, Mr. Ramier. You're banned from every park in Paris. Leave now or I'll call the authorities. Oh, wait. I'm the authorities. GET OUT!" Officer Roger shouts out at the man, before Mr. Ramier walks away sadly. Marinette and her brothers could only watch as the goofy man they knew since they were kids, left so disheartened.

"Sheesh, I almost feel sorry for him." Marinette said, as she watched Mr. Ramier leave, guiding her phone to follow as well, while Tikki had watched from Marinette's purse, somewhat interested in the bird man.

"What a unique character!" Tikki said, drawing Marinette's attention to the kwami in her purse, while moving her phone to show Jim and Toby as well, despite them not being able to see her.

"He was like... a human bird. All he needed was a feather jacket to complete the look." The red kwami said, unknowingly giving Marinette just the idea she needed.

"A feather jacket, hmm?" Marinette said, thinking it over, and then putting her phone back on the unoccupied side of her sketchbook before she started another design frenzy.

"Nice thinking, Tikki." She said as she started drawing again, much to her brother's amusement.

"What did Tikki say?" Jim asked, curious as he and Toby watched Marinette start to flesh out her new idea.

"She made a comment of how 'Mr. Pigeon' was like a human bird and only needed a feather jacket to seal the deal. But why not make it into a hat?" Marinette said as she continues to focus on the details of the new design.

"That sounds amazing already. Tikki is a genius!" Toby said, making Marinette smile as she continues to focus on the design.

"That she is." Marinette said, making the adorable kwami smile brightly at the complement while Marinette continued her designing frenzy.

Meanwhile, Mr. Ramier; known as Xavier to his close friends; had walked well enough away from Trocadero and sadly sat down on a bench that was on the banks of the Seine river. Feeling hopeless as he hunched over himself, with his bird call hangs limply from his neck. But unknown to him, his despire was like a magnet to a certain villain that terrorized the city on a daily basis, and was watching the poor man in his lair with the window open while the white butterflies lazily flutter through the air.

"Poor Mr. Ramier, the feeling of injustice, such easy prey for my akuma." The man that could give Gunmar a run for his money in the 'most forcibly made devoted followers' department said as he held out his open left palm, allowing one of the butterflies to land on it. He then covered it with his other hand, with his powers transforming it into an Akuma. Once the process was complete, he removed his right hand, allowing the Akuma to flutter free and begin its track out of the lair, towards the window.

"Fly away, my little akuma, and evilize him!" Hawkmoth said as the akuma flew through the city, and to Mr. Ramier. Soon, it finds the despairing man, and flutters to his bird call, immediately infecting it, and creating the psychic link between the pigeon lover and the twisted old man.

"Mr. Pigeon, I'm Hawk Moth. Neither this police officer, nor any other of the park keepers, should stop you from taking care of your friends. What would Paris be without pigeons? What would pigeons be without you?" The purple clad psycho said, causing Mr Ramier to chuckle and spread out his arms like wings. No sooner than he did, the telltale black and purple aura surrounded him, and soon disappeared, to reveal the transformed Mr. Pigeon. Dressed in a light gray skin tight suit, with a pink cowl, two turquoise spots on the top of his chest, pinkish-orange boots up to the top of his calves, black pants, black gloves with a V stripe at the near top, with a dark gray area on his lower chest area, and two spot of black that resembled wings that wrapped around to meet on his back, he laughs triumphantly, flapping his arms, making pigeon noises, and runs off down the length of the Seine.

Meanwhile back in Trocadero, Chloé and Sabrina had arrived at the monument, split up to go to different sides of the area and were now secretly watching Marinette as she was submerged into her design. Chloé then glanced over at Sabrina from her hiding spot, giving the bespectacled girl the okay to run down to the end of her hiding spot behind the row of statues that lined the area, and crouch down, taking her phone out, ready to take a picture of the soon to be completed design. Meanwhile, Marinette was deep in her concentration, her tongue tip still sticking out, when she finally completed the design.

"Yes!" Marinette said in excitement as she takes her phone from the unoccupied side of the book and she holds up a drawing of her finished design and switches her phone to camera mode so Jim and Toby could see it, all while Sabrina snaps a photo of the design. The design itself was a derby hat that was covered in fabric pieces that resembled feathers, with the band of the hat embroidered with gold swirls, and a pigeon feather that sat on the left side of the hat that was attached to the band with a subtle bow. Happy with herself, Sabrina fled her hiding place and went back to Chloé, all while Marinette had no idea what had happened, as she was more focused on her kwami and brothers reactions.

"Now that's a derby!" Tikki said with a smile, causing Marinette to look away from her design, and back down at her kwami with a bright smile.

"Thanks, Tikki." Marinette said, as she continued to hold her phone in her left hand so Jim and Toby could see the design.

"I don't know what Tikki said, but I'm sure it is something along the lines of, 'That design is amazing'." Jim said, giving his own praise for Marinette's hard work, which Toby obviously had to contribute to.

"Going to have to agree there. It might not be the 'Geode Design' but it still looks great." Toby said, feeling proud of his honorary little sister, making Marinette smile brighter than before.

"Thanks, you guys. Yours and Tikki's support means the world to me." Marinette said as she closed her book and placed it next to her and. started picking up her discarded ideas. She needed to get home as fast as possible so she could start working on the hopefully winning design. Meanwhile, Sabrina had reached Chloé as she stood in her hiding place, feeling confident in herself.

"We're so awesome." Sabrina happily said as she showed the picture on her phone to Chloé. But that didn't sit right with Chloé at all.

"We?" Chloé coldly questions as she snatches the phone away from her slave, which hurt Sabrina, but she didn't let it show.

"Oh right, sorry! You're so awesome, Chloé." Sabrina said, with a hurt look on her face as Chloé looked at the picture of the design. But that didn't stop her from asking...

"When are we-- uh, you, going to make the hat?" The bespectacled girl asked, even though she most likely knew the answer to that question... either Chloé would force her to make it, or she'll get her dad to get someone to do it.

"And ruin these nails? Of course not." Chloé said, holding out her newly manicured nails out towards Sabrina.

"Daddy'll pay someone to do it." The spoiled brat said before she walked off with Sabrina following her. Of course she was right, when wasn't she when it came to Chloé. Back with Marinette, she had just picked up her discarded designs and put them in her bag. She could very well edit the designs after the competition was over, that way she had more projects to do. Well... after she created the 'Geode Design' for Toby of course.

"I got to go, guys. I only have a little more than 8 hours to create this design. And I need to get home as soon as possible to start working on it." Marinette said as she held her phone with her left hand, while packing up her backpack.

"No worries. We'll talk to you tomorrow." Toby said, trying to get Marinette to not worry so much about them, and focus more on the compilation coming up.

"You just worry about the contest. We know you'll do great." Jim said, hoping to encourage Marinette. Thankfully, it worked as Marinette turned to face her phone with a smile.

"Thank you guys. Talk to you later. Bye boys." Marinette said with a smile as she waved at the two boys on the other side of the screen.

"Bye sis." Jim and Toby said as they waved back through the screen before hanging up, leaving a smiling Marinette as she finished packing her bag, and put her phone into the pink bag and raced off towards her home, eager to start her design.

(Time Skip)

Soon enough, Marinette had made it back to her house, and raced up to her room to begin working on her hat. The time flies by fast as Marinette gets out the necessary fabric, needles, thread, and hat construction pieces she needed to create the faux feathered design. It was a labor of love that had taken painstaking patience to do, as Marinette measured and cut the pieces of fabric to suit her needs, even when Marinette poked her fingers with needles every now and then, and having a quick snack; thanks to Tikki bringing her an apple, which was so big it caused the little kwami to trip over a spool of thread, causing it to roll to the designer, who giggled at the kwami's little fumble, which brought a giggle to the kwami as well; but the hat was almost complete. But as the young designer gave it a once over, she suddenly realized that something is missing. Immediately, she frantically looked around the top of the desk, coming up empty, and then looked under her desk to see if what she was looking for had dropped to the floor, which confused Tikki as she floated above Marinette in the air while Marinette continued her search.

"What are you looking for?" Tikki asked Marinette, just before Marinette got out from under her desk.

"A feather!" Marinette said in a panic as she stood up from the ground, with her hands on her head; which she had a habit of doing while she was freaking out; before turning to face her kwami, her hands falling to her sides.

"I forgot to pick up a pigeon feather for the hat! It has to have a feather!" The designer said before she raced out of her room, with Tikki following behind her. It doesn't take Marinette long to run back to the Trocadéro. When she arrived at the spot she had occupied earlier, a few pigeons were occupying the space, but when she slows down enough to not trip and fall, the pigeons scatter, dropping feathers, much to Marinette's joy as she walked down the short flight of stairs to where the pigeons had left.

"Yes!" Marinette said to herself as she picked up a fallen feather. That was easier than she thought it was going to be. But as she leaves, she accidentally runs into Roger.

"Uh, sorry mister officer, sir." She said before moving past the police officer, and left while Rogersmiled fondly at the girl. Kids... always a treasure. But as Roger walks away, a swarm of pigeons descends on him and attacks hiM, making the man cry out in shock and fear.

(Time Skip)

A little while later, in the streets of Paris, Marinette is sitting on the bus, deciding that returning home would have been quicker that way, but was proven wrong when the bus is not moving. And pretty soon, Marinette had enough of waiting especially when the light had turned green and the bus still hadn't moved.

"Come on! Can't we go any faster?" Marinette said impatiently as she got up from her seat and then walked to the front of the bus towards the driver.

"Sorry folks, we have a situation here." The bus driver said as Marinette reached the front of the bus, only to see that a bunch of cars were being held up by a cluster of pigeons, much to her surprise.

"You'll need to get off the bus now." The driver said, just before the doors opened, allowing Marinette to walk towards them and attempt to step out of the vehicle. But her attempts were stopped when she looked down at the ground to see a whole bunch of pigeons in front of her.

"Ah! Uh, this is weird." Marinette said before she gets off the bus, and is careful not to step on any of the weirdly acting birds. She soon sees the streets littered with pigeons as she walks down the street and sees a bunch of people gathered near a screen billboard, and decides to join them to find out what is going on.

"Pigeons have taken over Paris. This is just one of the many alarming situations giving authorities cause for major concern." Nadja said, as pictures of pigeon infested areas were shown behind her. But soon, the pictures stopped at a shot of the Eiffel, and her report was interrupted by someone giving her a tip from her earpiece.

"Yes, I've just been told that someone named 'Mr. Pigeon' is making an announcement." The reporter said, as she touched her earpiece, which immediately gave Marinette a good clue as to who was the current akumatized victim of the day. And her theory was proven right when the screen shifts to show the familiar Mr. Ramier transformed into one of Hawkmoth's minions, as he stood on the Eiffel Tower, delivering a speech on the screen.

"Oh, dreary day, poor Parisians." Mr Ramier, now Mr Pigeon said as he stood on the Eiffel Tower, and shouted out pigeon noises, which helped sell his persona.

"Sorry to ruffle your feathers, but Paris now belongs to the pigeons! Flap flap!" Mr Pigeon said as he flaps his arms like wings, and makes more pigeon noises. Back over with Marinette, she breaks away from the crowd and runs towards a subway entrance to transform.

'Should have guessed that this would have happened. Toby is definitely going to see the irony with this one.' Marinette thought to herself as she entered the subway tunnel and crouched down while opening her purse, letting Tikki pop out from the bag.

"Paris needs us!" Marinette said before Tikki flew out of her purse with a loop-de-loop.

"Tikki, spots on! Yeah!" The young designer calls out before she transforms into the amazing Ladybug. No sooner than she had transformed, she exited the subway, and was soon jumping from roof to roof like an acrobat, looking for Mr. Pigeon. But just as she had jumped down from one roof and onto another, she looked up at the sky, only to stop running when she saw airplane shapes made out of pigeons flying through the sky above her.

"Now this is weirder than weird." Ladybug said as she looked up at the unusual behavior the pigeons were displaying.

"Birds of a feather flock together." A voice from a ledge above her said, causing her to look in the direction of where it was coming from, and see Chat Noir as he laid across it, his head propped up with him as it rested by his elbow on the roof under him, all while he seemed to be... charming... or cocky? Ladybug couldn't really tell. But then his bravado shatters as he suddenly sneezes and rolls down the roof to where Ladybug is, looking up at her with a bashful smile.

"I'm allergic to feathers." The cat themed superhero said as he stood up from the roof, and then sneezed again, right in Ladybug's direction, causing her to flinch back to avoid the splash zone.

"That's helpful." Ladybug sarcastically said, placing her hands on her hips as she raised an eyebrow at him with a small grin, much to the cat hero's annoyance.

"Tell me about it." Chat Noir said, before he was almost ready to sneeze again, but managed to stop himself with an awkward smile, before getting his head back into the game, looking up at the pigeon filled sky.

"These birds are only part of the problem. The park keepers in Paris are vanishing without a trace." The cat superhero said, turning to look back at Ladybug, who was pulled from her amusement of watching Chat Noir dramatically sneezing from the feathers.

"What? We have to track down Mr. Pigeon ASAP." Ladybug siad, her focus on the job at hand coming back full force, and looks over at the birds in the sky.

"Where are we gonna find him?" Chat Noir said, pulling Ladybug's focus back onto him, as she tried to think of a plan to solve that little detail.

"Hmm, I don't know where we can find him, but I do know where he can find us." Ladybug said, knowing exactly what to do to draw out the villain of the day, while she glanced Chat Noir over with a sly smile. Yeah, he was in trouble.

(Time Skip)

Soon, the two heroes were at the Place des Vosges, where Chat Noir was wearing a police cap and pretending to be an officer as he whistled, "La Marseillaise", while Ladybug hid behind a tree nearby. But soon, Chat Noir got bored and started to dance, making Ladybug poke her head out of her hiding place.

"Act natural or he'll never show up!" Ladybug scolds Chat Noir as he 'gangnam styles' right past her.

"What do you mean? I am acting natural." Chat Noir said as he changed directions, and moonwalks past her, all while a pigeon watches him and the hidden Ladybug, before it takes off to fly back to Mr. Pigeon, as he stood on a statue in the city. The pigeon overlord then extends his arm out, letting the little winged spy land on it, before bringing it closer to him so it could report its findings

"Ladybug and Cat Noir? Job well done, buddy-boy." Mr Pigeon said, using his pointer finger to tickle the bird's chest in affection.

"Pigeons will reign supreme! Power to the pigeons!" The bird man said, moving his arm back out away from him to let the pigeon fly away, before he jumped off the statue ledge; making pigeon sounds; and the pigeons formed a platform to carry him off towards the unsuspecting heroes.

Meanwhile back in the park, Ladybug and Cat Noir are still waiting for Mr. Pigeon to show up. But so far, nothing was happening.

"Where is he? He should've been here by now." Ladybug said as she hid behind a tree, while Chat Noir was patrolling the area. But suddenly, a flock of pigeons started flying overhead, causing Chat Noir to sneeze. He looked up in the sky, just as the bunch of pigeons formed a big ball and started carrying Cat Noir away, causing Ladybug to poke her head out to find out what was going on.

"What the-" Ladybug said in surprise, before she runs out from her hiding place and goes after them. Leaping over rooftops and using her yo-yo to keep up with the pigeons, she soon reached the roof of the Le Grand Paris hotel and the pigeons dropped Chat Noir off onto the glass pool cover. He landed in a crouch, and quickly stood up, wiping off feathers that stuck to his suit while more fluttered down to the ground after falling from the pigeons that took him captive, causing Chat Noir to sneeze again. Once he did, he looked around, and saw that the pigeons that took him to the rooftop were looking at him. While he was looking around the roof, seeing that there were more pigeons surrounding him, Ladybug arrived, and joined up with him.

"Where's that bird-brain Mr. Pigeon?" Chat Noir said, while Ladybug seemed to notice all of the surrounding pigeons as well.

"He's gotta be here somewhere." Ladybug said as they stood on the rooftop, waiting for the villain to show up, unaware that Mr. Pigeon was already there, and was lifted by a swarm of pigeons behind them, staring down at them. A second after the pigeons had lifted the bird lover had lifted him up above the unsuspecting heroes, Hawkmoth had decided to speak to his current villain.

"If you want to give Paris back to the pigeons for good, you must first rid the city of those two pests." 'Hawkmoth the Stupendously Incompitant' said from his lair, bringing a twisted smile to Mr. Pigeon. As soon as the connection was complete, he brought his bird whistle to his lips, and sounded his call, causing the pigeons to start to circle around Ladybug and Cat Noir.

"Call me crazy, but I feel like bird seed all of a sudden." Ladybug said as the pigeons formed a shield to keep them in, causing them to shield their eyes from the birds as they stood back to back.

"Got any bright ideas, bug?" Chat Noir asked as he tried to keep himself from getting any feathers in his eyes, and especially near his nose.

"You're the cat, don't you eat these things for breakfast?" Ladybug said, giving him an 'are you seriously asking me what to do?' look as the pigeons that were surrounding them formed a dome around them, blocking their sight, as more of the pigeons brought down a gigantic cage over them, imprisoning them.

"Look!" Ladybug said once she was able to look through the birds surrounding them, only to see that the two of them were trapped in a cage, while the pigeons flew away, their job of distracting the heroes, complete.

"*bird noises* Turpy day. I'm so ruthless." Mr. Pigeon said as he towered above the trapped heroes on his platform of hovering pigeons, while he chuckled to himself, feeling proud as the heroes looked up at him. But a second afterwards, Hawkmoth had decided to butt in once more.

"Excellent. Now take their Miraculous!" Hawkmoth demanded as he stood in his lair, like the cowering cockroach that he is. Once he says his piece, Hawkmoth cuts off the connection and Mr. Pigeon commands the pigeons holding him up to lower him down to the trapped heroes.

"*bird noises* Your Miraculous. Give them to me or face the wrath of my feathered friends." Mr Pigeon said, before he sounds his bird call and some pigeons start banging on the top of the cage, causing the top to lower down on the heroes, while others turn around and point their behinds at Ladybug and Cat Noir.

"Dada-dee, on the count of three, my beloved pigeons will commence fire." The pigeon overlord said as the pigeons he was standing on lowered him to the roof, where he stepped off and stood a good distance away from the cage.

"You can still say you're sorry skins by handing me your Miraculous. One, two..." Mr Pigeon said, sasily counting down with his fingers, while Ladybug suddenly thought of a way out of their predicament.

"Cat Noir, the bars!" Ladybug said, to which Chat Noir immediately caught onto what she was planning.

"Cataclysm!" Chat Noir calls out, summoning his powers. He then placed his hand on the bars and wiped it across them using his Cataclysm to destroy the bars of the cage. Mr. Pigeon only cowers back toward the edge of the rooftop while Ladybug and Cat Noir advance on him, spinning their weapons as they do so.

"Well, well. Looks like the pigeon's really a chicken." Chat Noir said as Mr Pigeon jumped up onto the rail of the rooftop, looking panicked while making more bird noises and like he was about to jump. But unfortunately for them, he didn't and instead, stood his ground.

"Me? I'm not flying away. I'm just killing two birds with one stone." Mr Pigeon said just before he sounds his bird call and jumps over the edge of the roof. The heroes run to the rail, to try and help him, only to see some pigeons had caught him, lift him back up and take him away, much to their shock. They only watched as the pigeons that were lifting the villain into the air, dispersed, and instead took the form of a chair, where Mr Pigeon sat on while another group of pigeons formed into a giant rock-like flock.

"*bird noises* Merry Christmas!" The bird man said as his feathered throne flew away and the rock-like group of pigeons dived towards Ladybug and Cat Noir. They took that as their sign of retreat and ran towards the roof access door, and ran inside, closing the door behind them , and holding it to stop the pigeons. A second later, a bulge forms in the door as pigeons slam the door at them but Ladybug and Cat Noir fall down to the ground in relief.

"Ah!" The both of them say, glad to make it out of that disaster, unscathed. Back outside, Mr Pigeon had seen that they had escaped his attempt to attack them, but didn't seem to bent out of shape about it.

"I'm not done with you yet!" Mr Pigeon shouts out as he rides away on a flock of pigeons shaped like a plane, making more bird noises as he flies away. Meanwhile, Ladybug and Chat Noir start running downstairs, when Chat Noir's ring alarm sounds. He looks down at it, and sees he only has four minutes left.

"I've gotta get out of here before my secret identity's revealed!" Chat Noir said to Ladybug; who was a flight of stairs below him; as he realized just how close this was going to be.

"Yeah, you wouldn't want to let the cat out of the bag." Ladybug said, trying to add a bit of humor to the situation before continuing her path down the stairs.

"Ha ha, very funny." Chat Noir said, not finding the jab at him funny, as he followed after her. They soon make it to the first floor and start to head out the building. On their way out they see a crowd gathered at the entrance, with the Mayor of Paris among them.

"Ladybug, Cat Noir! I'm in great danger-- of losing big bucks if my guests leave Paris!" André; the Mayor of Paris, and Chloé's father; said as he ran to the heroes, hoping to have the problem taken care of quickly, while Chat Noir's ring beeped again, making him so nervous that he started to do high knees, so he was ready to bolt.

"You are going to get rid of those pigeons, aren't you?" The mayor asked, while Chat Noir kept fidgeting, while Ladybug only fondly smiled at his antics.

"Of course we are, but before we do I have an urgent need." Chat Noir said, trying to get the mayor to let him transform back in a private space. Hopefully he will understand.

"An urgent need? I see, head to the royal suite." André siad, allowing Chat Noir to race over to the elevator, where a butler was waiting in, while Ladybug remained standing next to the mayor. Thankfully, he did understand.

"There's paper in there, but perhaps you would prefer... a litter tray?" The mayor said, in an attempt of humor, much to the feline hero's slight embarrassment.

"Uh...? Oh right, no need for litter. But, um, could I have some Camembert?" Chat Noir requested before the elevator door closed. Mayor Bourgeois looks back at Ladybug, who only shrugs. Like she knew why he asked for cheese, let alone that specific cheese. Meanwhile, over at the Royal suite, Chat Noir raced into the room, just as Butler Jean had opened the door.

"'Scuse me, sorry. Emergency!" Chat Noir said as he slammed the door behind him, leaning against it to keep anyone from coming in. A second later, there's a knock on the door, making Chat Noir open it, only to see it was Butler Jean once again.

"How do you like your Camembert?" Butler Jean asked, being the surefooted butler that he was.

"Runny!" Chat Noir said before he slams the door again, leaning against it once more to keep others out. Once again, a second later, there's another knock on the door. Quick as a whip, Chat Noir opens it again, to see Butler Jean was holding out a plate with a cloche towards him.

"Unpasteurized Camembert, matured for two years."Butler Jean said as he handed Cat Noir the silver plate.

"Thanks!" Chat Noir said before he takes the plate and he slams the door again. A second later, his last pad disappears, and his transformation runs out, with Chat Noir turning back into Adrien Agreste. Soon after he transforms back, Plagg spirals out of the ring, screaming, and lands onto the bed of the suite.

"Oh the exhaustion! My poor aching body, I can't move a muscle!" Plagg the cheese annihilator said as he laid on the bed, while Adrien walked over to him, the silver plate in his hands.

"You wanna bet?" Adrien said as he placed the plate in front of Plagg, and removed the cloche from the plate to reveal the Camembert, its noxious fumes rising from the cheese, attracting the little kwami's attention.

"*gasps* Ah, my gooeyness." Plagg said like a starving lion leaping over to the cheese with renewed strength, and started devouring the cheese like a pig.

"Eat up buddy. Ladybug needs help." Adrien said, as he leaned against the bed post, watching as Plagg scraffed down his favorite snack. Meanwhile, over in the Le Grand Paris Hotel's restaurant, Ladybug steps out of the elevator into the dining hall with large glass windows, able to see the action that was going on outside.

"Great, I can get a much better view from up here." Ladybug said as she walked up to a window, seeing large groups of pigeons flying by, but also noticed something else.

"Odd, pigeons are flying in the same direction. Better go follow them." The spotted hero said, just before the elevator dings, bringing her attention to it to see Chat Noir was waiting for her inside.

"Ready when you are, LB." Chat Noir said, while Ladybug walked over to the elevator.

"Let's go!" Ladybug said just as the elevator doors closed in front of her after she stepped inside. Once they were at the ground floor, they raced outside, and followed the pigeons, via the rooftops, to the Grand Palais. They then leaped down to the ground, landing near the entrance, and looked inside to see a big cage full of park keepers, seemingly unguarded.

"So that's where Mr. Pigeon's keeping the park keepers he abducted." Ladybug said as she looked past the corner they were hiding behind before moving back to Chat Noir who was a few feet away from her.

"The Grand Palais." Chat Noir said just as Ladybug was now standing next to him, but he started to sneeze. Thankfully Ladybug stops him, before he had alerted Mr Pigeon.

"My pigeon radar is on high alert." The feline superhero said as he rubs his nose to stop his nose from itching.

"Either your radar is on the brink or Mr. Pigeon's left the park keepers unattended." Ladybug said, noticing that this all seemed a little too easy.

"Let's set the cat among the pigeons." Chat Noir said, excited to let his claws out for a scratch fight.

"Hold up kitty." Ladybug said, stopping the cat boy from heading into a trap.

"It's too easy. I've got a plan." She said before running around the other direction, with Chat Noir following, not knowing that a pigeon was above them, watching them before it flew inside.

"Perfect timing, hootie hoo! We're ready to greet them, aren't we? They're going to fall right into my trap." Mr Pigeon said as the spy pigeon flew towards him; as he stood on a walkway high above the ground and above his captives; and landed on his outstretched arm, where he started to pet it soothingly.

"It won't be long before you get your Miraculous, friend." The pigeon loving akuma said as Hawkmoth restarted the connection once more.

"I can't wait, my dear Pigeon." Hawkmoth said, feeling confident in his choice in akumatizing the pigeon lover in the first place. Meanwhile, on the roof Ladybug and Cat Noir were running up to one of the roof access hatches of the building.

"If we can destroy that bird call, we'll be able to capture the akuma." Ladybug said as she and Chat Noir ran up to the hatch, which was conveniently right behind Mr Pigeon, allowing them the element of surprise.

"Okay, you open the window, I'll grab him and yank him up onto the roof, then you snag his bird call away from him." The spotted superhero said as Chat Noir was crouched down to the latch on the roof hatch, ready to enact the plan.

"Let's go, early bird gets the worm!" Chat Noir said as Ladybug swung her yo-yo; ready to attack; while he reached down and opens the skylight on the roof, but a draft of feathers hits him and he sneezes, causing Ladybug to miss Mr Pigeon as she throws her yo-yo, causing him to turn around to see the flabbergasted heroes.

"So much for the element of surprise." Ladybug said as her yo-yo returned to her, and Chat Noir continued to hold the hatch open. They then jump inside, and land on the walkway Mr. Pigeon was on, right before he jumped back to the ground and let the pigeons break his fall. The two heroes leap off of the walkway and land in a crouch before rolling into a run, chasing Mr. Pigeon until he sounds his bird call, and the pigeons form two spheres where his hands are.

"Deedly-dee dee, come closer, I have a bone to peck with you." Mr Pigeon said, getting into a fighting stance, ready to fight.

"I'd be honored." Chat Noir said, right before Mr. Pigeon hits Cat Noir and then Ladybug back towards the cage with his pigeon weights.

"Get us out of here, Ladybug!" An entrapped park ranger said from behind the bars of the cage, as she gets back onto her feet, while Mr. Pigeon advances on them. Seeing no other option, Ladybug pulls out her yo-yo and summons her...

"Lucky Charm!" Ladybug cries out, summoning her powers, which gave her a... coin? Seriously? SERIOUSLY!!

"A coin? What am I supposed to do with this?" Ladybug said as the tiny object landed into her hand. A second afterwards, she looks around, her vision highlighting a beam, a vending machine and the coin, in the usual red and black spotted print, while Mr Pigeon continues to advance on them, forgoing his two pigeon spheres, for a giant flock that he held above him as he walked, ready to throw it.

"You can't buy yourself out of here!" Mr. Pigeon said before he threw the sphere of pigeons at them. Immediately, Ladybug starts running towards him, but then slides on the ground and under his legs, using her yo-yo to wrap around his left ankle. She then gets up to her feet, runs until she is under the beam she spotted, and then jumps up to a pillar to push herself up to the beam, grabs it, makes like an acrobat, and swings herself to the top of the beam, and back down, making a pulley. She then drops back to the ground and runs to the vending machine at the far end, using the coin to get a bag of popcorn. Once the bag of snack food drops into the catch basin, Ladybug opens it up, and pulls it out of the machine, turning to look back at her partner.

"Cat Noir!" Ladybug shouts out, causing the feline hero, and Mr Pigeon; who had momentarily forgotten about Ladybug; to turn to look back at her.

"Yeah!" Chat Noir said as he got back to his feet, just before Ladybug threw the bag in the air. Seeing what she was up to, Chat Noir throws his staff right at the airborne bag, which bursts it open, showering the contents onto Mr Pigeon, much to the villain's surprise.

"Snack time, pigeons!" Ladybug said as the popcorn caught the surrounding birds' attention and covered the pigeon loving villain in the snack food, making the pigeons go after the popcorn landing on him.

"No!" Mr Pigeon siad as the birds turned on him, favoring the popcorn over their leader. Meanwhile Ladybug takes advantage of the villain's distracted state, and pulls on her yo-yo, lifting Mr. Pigeon up by the ankle and making him hang in the air from the beam the yo-yo string was wrapped around, allowing his bird call to fall to the ground.

"My bird call! Nooo!" The pigeon man said as the bird call fell to the ground and as more pigeons surrounded him, trying to get the remaining popcorn on him.

"Cat Noir, grab it!" Ladybug said as she kept holding onto the yo-yo string, keeping Mr Pigeon up in the air. Chat Noir follows through, and grabs it, but then he sneezes and throws it upward by accident. Curse his allergies. Ladybug then runs to get it, dropping Mr. Pigeon. When Cat Noir recovers from his sneeze, he runs toward the bird call too, just before Mr Pigeon lands on the ground in a crouch and also runs for it. They all lunge for the bird call, and all manage to get to it, with Mr. Pigeon's hand landing on it first, then Cat Noir's, then Ladybug's. Seeing their advantage, Ladybug grabs Cat Noir's hand and uses it to break the bird call by throwing it on top of Mr Pigeons, smashing the brid call to pieces.

"Yes!" Ladybug said as she got to her feet, feeling proud of herself.

"Ow!" Chat Noir said as he got to his feet, holding the aching hand that Ladybug used to break the bird call while Mr. Pigeon faints. A second later, the akuma flies out of the broken bird call, causing Ladybug to pull out her yo-yo in response.

"No more evildoing for you, little akuma!" She said as she used her pointer finger to slide down the middle of her yo-yo to open it up to reveal the sparkling pool of cleansing energy inside. She then let it drop before she started to swing it in a circle behind her, intent on capturing the akuma as it creates a circle of pink light behind her.

"Time to de-evilize!" Ladybug cries out before she throws her yo-yo towards the escaping akuma, catching it in her yo-yo, as it closes back up, before bringing it back towards her.

"Gotcha" She said when she had the yo-yo back in her hand. A second later, she released the purified akuma, setting the white butterfly free.

"Bye, bye little butterfly." Ladybug said as the butterfly flew away. A second later, she grabs the wrench and throws it into the air.

"Miraculous Ladybug!" She cries out, and no sooner than she did, the miraculous cure sweeps through the city, returning things back to normal. The bird call is fixed, Roger and the rest of the park rangers are returned to their respective parks and Mr. Pigeon is converted back into Xavier Ramier.

"Huh? What happened? Where am I?" Xavier said, looking around, and feeling very confused, while Ladybug and Chat Noir stood nearby.

"Pound it!" The two heroes said as they fist bumped, feeling proud of themselves for taking care of another supervillain. Meanwhile in Hawkmoth's lair, the so called mastermind was not feeling very happy that he was once again defeated.

"Wretched pigeons, wretched Ladybug. I'll destroy every one of you!" The purple pathetic excuse for a human being said as the lair window closes, leaving him in total darkness as the white butterflies flustered around him.

A while later, in Marinette's room, the young designer manages to get back with only 58 minutes left to work on her hat.

"There's no time to lose. I have less than an hour." Marinette said as she glided into her swivel chair, and kept working on her hat. The time flies by, and when Marinette is finally done, she only has three minutes left to get to the school for the competition. She then gently puts the hat into a hat box, and raced out the door to make it on time. Back over at Collège Françoise Dupont, everyone is getting ready to present their hats, whie Alya calls Marinette but she doesn't respond.

"Where is that girl?" Alya asks herself as Nathalie enters the building, and approaches Mr Damocles, along with Adrien and Nino as they stand next to the school principal.

"Hello, Mr. Damocles, I am Mr. Agreste's executive assistant Nathalie." Nathalie said, introducing herself to Mr Damocles, who was confused that he didn't see Mr Agreste anywhere with her.

"Hello, miss. Pardon me, but where is Mr. Agreste?" Mr Damocles asked, right before she held up a tablet, answering the principal's question as it revealed the 'fashion designer' on the screen.

"I'm here" Mr Agreste said through the tablet, looking bored of the event already.

"Ah, uh, hello Mr. Agreste. Welcome to our school." Mr Damocles said, not really expecting the man to use a tablet as his means of judging the competition, but went along with it, seeing as he was a very powerful man, who didn't see the need to explain himself to the school principal.

"Adrien, take Nathalie around." Mr Agreste said through the tablet, commanding his son like he was a lowly servant instead of his own flesh and blood. But like the dutiful son he was, he obeyed. Meanwhile, Chloé noticed that the fashion designer had 'arrived' and was starting the judging.

"Ah, there's Mr. Agreste! He's coming this way." Chloé excitedly said, before composing herself and posing, with Sabrina following suit. Back over with Mr. Damocles, Nathalie and Adrien, the blonde haired boy had just led his father's assistant; as she held the tablet his father was using; to see Juleka and Rose's hat, which seemed to have a steampunk theme to it.

"As you'll see, Mr. Agreste, our students have poured their hearts and souls into their projects." Mr Damocleas said, just as Marinette rushes in and carries her box over to Alya with Adrien noticing as she rushe past him. As soon as she placed the hat box onto the pedestal, she let out a sigh of relief. She made it.

"Where have you been?! You got your hat?" Alya asked, as Marinette straightened up and caught her breath. She had run all the way over, despite being just across the street.

"Yep, here." Marinette said, right before she took off the hat box from the pedestal, revealing her feathered creation.. Alya marvels at it, but then her expression darkens, confusing Marinette.

"What?" Marinette asked, wondering why Alya seemed so upset.

"But, it's the same as Chloé's." Alya said, causing a painc in Marinette.

"What?!" Marinette said, right before she looked over at Chloé, just as the judges walked over to see Chloé and Sabrina's hat... an exact copy of Marinette's hat.

"Uh, hi Mr. Agreste. I'm Chloé Bourgeois. You know my father, André Bourgeois, the mayor?" Chloé said, as she greeted the judges, much to Marinette's rage.

"Ugh, that thieving little brat!" Marinette growls out, before breathing heavily as she continues to look at the thieving girl, while Alya was worried for her best friend.

"Do you want me to take care of it?" Alya asked, as she placed a comforting hand onto Marinette's shoulder.

"I think I can handle this." Marinette said with a smirk as she crossed her arms in front of her chest. If Chloé's hat was an exact copy of hers, then she had no problem with setting the record straight. The judges then move on from Chloé and Sabrina, and finally reach Marinette's hat. Immediately, Mr Agreste could see something was up.

"Hm, turn the tablet back to Ms. Bourgeois' hat." The designer said, making Nathalie follow his command, and turn back to see the other hat, seeing that the two were identical.

"Is this a joke?" Mr Agreste asked, not finding the situation funny at all.

"No fair! Marinette copied my design! It's scandalous, how could you do that?" Chloé said, not even putting in any effort to sound sincere as she fake cries. But Marinette continued to keep her cool, and decided to make her move.

"I apologize for the situation Mr. Agreste, but I can prove that this derby hat is MY original design." Marinette said, channeling her inner Ladybug to boost her confidence. Thankfully, it worked and Nathalie turned the tablet back towards her, while Chloé snapped out of her fake crying to see what she had up her sleeve.

"Go ahead." Mr Agreste said, giving Marinette the floor to defend herself and her work as she picked up her hat from the pedestal.

"Um, everything on my derby hat is hand-made-- from the embroidery, to the weaving of the band, to the stitching of the brim." Marinette said, while she pointed to every detail she mentioned, making Chloé recoil.

"All done by myself. And last, there's a special design element that only the true designer knows about: I signed mine." The young designer said, as she turned her hat upside down and revealed the hidden signature in the gold detailing. A second afterwards, Chloé steps back in shock, and knocks over her derby hat stand. Everyone turns to look at it on the ground, and it shows Marinette's signature.

"Daddy!" Chloé bawls out as she runs out of the school crying, while Nathalie once again turns the tablet back towards Marinette.

"Very exquisite creation. You definitely have the laboring hands of a hat maker, miss..." Mr Agreste said, but trails off since he didn't know Marinette's name. Thankfully, Adrien helped him out with that detail.

"Marinette." Adrien said as he put his hand on Marinette's shoulder with a smile, feeling proud of his friend.

"Congratulations on your demonstration, Miss Marinette. You're the winner." Mr Agreste said, allowing himself to show the closest thing to a smile he could probably do, while Marinette looked at Alya and gasped in happiness.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you!" Marinette said, ending each 'thank you' with a bow in her excitement.

"Adrien will wear your derby on our next advertising campaign." Mr Agreste said, just before Adrien put his hands over hers as they held onto the hat. Immediately, she gasped and blushed in response. Her crush was touching her hands!!!!

"Awesome job, Marinette." Adrien said, congratulating her and making her blush and smile even wider. Adrien then begins to put on the derby hat but suddenly starts to sneeze, much to Marinette and Alya's surprise.

"A-achoo!" Adrien exclaims, before he wipes his nose with his hand, and then noticing Marinette and Alya were watching him in shock.

"Uh-- sorry, I'm allergic to feathers." Adrien said, explaining why he was sneezing, right before he sneezed again, surprising Marinette. But she only smiles. Allergies were a part of life.

"Gesundheit!" Marinette said, with a smile, right before the poor boy sneezed again, and waves at her as he walked away.

"Thanks." Adrien said, feeling very kind of drowsy from his sneezing, while Alya and Marinette looked at each other in excitement, before it soon became too much for Marinett to contain.

"Whoo hoo!" Marinette cheers out laughing, as she jumps up into the air in celebration. This was the best day of her life.

A while later in Arcadia, Jim and Toby were arriving early at their school, ready to start the day, just as Jim's phone buzzed. The boy pulls it out as he and Toby walk towards the bike racks to put their bikes in before locking them up.

"Is that the Parisian news?" Toby asked, just as he pulled out his bike lock and wrapped it around the bike wheel.

"Looks like it. Wonder what the akuma chaos is this time." Jim said as he copied Toby's action before opening up his phone to the Parisian News app. When Toby walked over and stood next to Jim, looking over his shoulder as he opened it up, but to their shock, they saw articles about an akuma named...

"Mr. Pigeon?" The two boys said, in both confusion, and in recognition, while Jim put his bag back onto his back while they walked to a bench nearby.

"That has to be a coincidence. There is no way." Toby said, not believing that they and Marinette had predicted an akuma's name, years beforehand, while they sat down on the bench to look at the photos of the akuma provided.

"I think it is him. The articles say that this akuma was using pigeons to take over the city." Jim said, bringing a shocked look to Toby's face.

"Are you freaking kidding me?" Toby said, just as Jim used his thumb to scroll down to a video of the attack that day.

"It's crazy, I know. We better watch it" Jim said, really excited to see the videos of the man that he was sure was Mr. Ramier.

"Sounds good." Toby said as Jim clicked on the video, ready to see what had happened in Paris during what was sure to be a... interesting akuma attack.

(Time Skip)

A while later, and back over in Paris, the night had come, once again Marinette was at her desk, in her pajamas, ready to call her brothers. She was sure that they saw the news by now, and were probably dying to know her side of the story. So without further delay, she opened up her computer, clicked on the video call app like she had many nights in the past, and waited for Jim to answer.

Meanwhile in Arcadia, Jim and Toby were just getting out of history with Strickler, and had already watched the videos of the akuma attack during their time before school. And to say that they found the irony hilarious... was an understatement.

"I honestly think the three of us are psychic. I mean, it wouldn't be totally out of the realm of possibility." Toby said, the fact of them guessing an akuma's name, before he was akumatized, going to his head, and thinking that they might have powers. But then again, the world has been proven to have some sort of magic, so... why not.

"I'm not entirely sure about that, Tobes. It just seems like a coincidence." Jim said as they walked to the bike racks, sitting down, and not even a second later, Jim's phone buzzed, making the boy pull it out and see Marinette was calling them. Right on time.

"Looks like we'll now have our recap/update." Toby said as he opened his bag and pulled out his lunch of a Sloppy Joe sandwich, extra napkins, an apple, and mini chocolate chip cookies, with Jim doing the same. As soon as they were settled, Jim opened up the video call, making Marinette appear on the screen, smiling at them as he held his phone in front of them.

"Hi boys, how are you?" Marinette asked, while the boys were simply bursting at the seams with questions, and the need for answers.

"Please don't tell me that we predicted Mr. Pigeon's villain name years in advance." Toby said immediately after Marinette greeted them, causing her smile to grow bigger.

"Hello to you too, Tobes. And yes, I think we did. Kind of ironic when you think about it." Marinette said, thinking how weird and kind of cool it was that they predicted the latest villain's name way before Hawkmoth ever came to town. It was kind of spooky.

"Yeah, it is." Jim said as he started to dig into his Sloppy Joe, with Toby doing the same, although, a little more messy. Hey, the boy's cooking was delicious, of course he would be a little messy.

"You think? I still say we are psychic" Toby said, bringing a smile onto Marinette and Jim's faces, his mouth smeared with sauce.

"I don't think that's the case, but are you guys ready for the more exciting side of the story?" Marinette asked, already knowing that the boys would say...

"YES!!! OF COURSE!!" The two of them said, causing Marinette to smile, while they dug into more of their lunch.

"Okay, so starting off after we last chatted, I had gone home, and created the pigeon feather derby hat. But after it was nearly complete, I then realized that I had forgotten to pick up a pigeon feather from the park for the hat, and raced back to get one." Marinette said, causing her brothers to smile at her forgetfulness.

"Seriously? How could you forget the main detail of your hat? I know your mind goes a thousand miles a minute, but you need to slow down every once and a while. Otherwise, you will burn out." Jim said, as he took another bite out of his sandwich, while Toby and Marinette rolled their eyes at his remark.

"Pot calling the kettle black, Jimbo. You and Marinette are much more alike in that regard than you think." Toby said as he finished off his Sloppy Joe in one bite.

"Anyway, after I went to the park, I got a feather and went to the bus to save time. But then the bus got stalled by what I thought was traffic, until I looked out and saw that it was pigeons that were the cause of the traffic. I then left the bus, and saw that the news was reporting of a new akuma." Marinette said, telling the two boys her side of the story, while Jim finished his Sloppy Joe and they both started to eat their apples.

"And that new akuma was Mr. Ramier." Jim said as he swallowed a mouthful of apple.

"Yep. So after I saw that there was a new akuma, I transformed, and ran across the rooftops to try and find Mr. Pigeon. I met up with Chat Noir, where he told me that Mr. Pigeon was kidnapping park keepers since he was akumatized because of Officer Rogar's baretting before. And that he's allergic to feathers." Marinette said nonchalantly, which caused her brothers to laugh all of a sudden, making Marinette confused.

"What's so funny?" She said, not understanding why the two were laughing so hard.

"What's funny is that your partner; who is a cat, which is known to eat birds; is allergic to feathers." Toby manages to say as he wipes away a stray tear from his eyes, Jim doing the same.

"You have to admit, it's kind of funny, when you think about it." Jim said as he caught his breath, clutching onto his sides as he tried to calm down, while Marinette giggled in response. They were right, it was kind of funny.

"Okay, yeah it's a little funny. Anyways, so we set up a trap, with Chat Noir posing as a park ranger, and it worked. It lured Mr. Pigeon and took us to the Grand Paris Hotel rooftop, where he tried to take our miraculous, and he got away when we cornered him. We regrouped down in the hotel, and followed the pigeons to Mr. Pigeon's lair, where he had an ambush waiting for us, but we had decided to use the element of surprise, but unfortunately, Chat Noir's allergies acted up, and blew our cover. In the end, we managed to defeat Mr. Pigeon with a bag of popcorn, and hanging him upside down, letting his bird call fall to the ground and we destroyed it." Marinette said, finishing the akuma part of the story, while Jim and Toby finished their apples, and wrapped up the cores with napkins to throw them away.

"That's great. Though, that had to be a very hilarious akuma to deal with." Toby said, laughing himself silly, as he went into the bag of mini cookies to begin eating them.

"Not so much fun for me and Chat, but it was kind of fun." Marinette said, not really wanting to say that she actually had some fun with this akuma. Hey, it was a pigeon overlord... how could she not find it a little funny after everything was all said and done.

"Speaking of fun, how was the derby hat competition?" Jim asked as Toby pulled out his own cookies and they started to eat them, while a smile soon bloomed on their sister's lips.

"It was amazing!! I won!" Marinette said, bringing smiles to her brother's faces.

"We knew you could do it! But we do have to ask... was there any trouble?" Toby asked as he and Jim finished half of the cookies; so quickly that it was scary; since... Marinette always had a tendency to get into trouble.

"Well, Chloé did try to steal my design, but I managed to prove that it was mine. Thankfully, it didn't escalate into anything bad." Marinette said, not seeing how her brother's faces had shock all over them. The way she said that... just how much was going on that Chloé stealing her designs was not even something she cared about.

"And you're not mad at her?" Jim said, to which Marinette rolled her eyes at the comment.

"Of course I'm mad at her!! How can I not be!? But in the end, I managed to prove her to be a thief, and won the contest. That seems fair to me." Marinette said, which brought a smile of relief to the two boy's faces as they finished the cookies.

"Thank goodness. For a minute there, we thought that you might be just sweeping this under the rug" Toby said, causing Marinette's eyes to widen in surprise.

"Um, when am I not mad at something Chloé has done wrong. I'm just trying to be the bigger person here." Marinette said, just as the bell rang for lunch to end, much to Toby's disappointment.

"Aw man, I wanted to hear more!!" Toby said with a groan before he began packing his bag up, with Jim doing the same.

"Looks like we got to go, Mari. We'll talk to you tonight" Jim said, turning to the phone as he packed his bag.

"That's okay. I've got to go to sleep anyway. Talk to you guys later." Marinette said, stifling a yawn with her hand and stretching her arms above her head, while Toby turned back to the phone to join back up with the conversation.

"Hope Hawkmoth doesn't send another night akuma." Toby said, as he stood up from the ground, with Jim following, and stood next to him as they looked at Marinette through the phone.

"Ha, ha, very funny. Okay, night guys. See you tomorrow." Marinette said as she waved them goodbye through the screen.

"Bye Marinette." The boys said, waving back right before the screen turned black, signaling the call was over.

"Sounds like things are getting very interesting over in Paris. Seriously, I didn't think that we would have guessed an akuma name." Toby said, as Jim puts his phone back into his bag, and they walk towards their next class of the day.

"Okay, Tobes I get it. It's freaky. But it was a one time thing. I doubt it will happen again." Jim said before he started to walk towards Home Ec while Toby went towards French.

"See you later, Jimbo." Toby said, as they parted ways, eager to end the day on a high note.

Meanwhile, back over in Paris, Marinette was having some trouble falling asleep. She tried to get her mind to calm down, but she couldn't. She soon gave up, and then spotted her sketchbook, remembering the design she had done earlier. The competition was over... so she now had time to start it. So without hesitation, she grabbed her sketchbook and opened it up to see the 'Geode Design' clear as day in the pages of the book. Grabbing a pencil, Marinette turned to a new page, and started to redraw the design. The original hat was a little too fancy for day-to-day use, but she would design that for Toby so he could wear that for a special occasion. And so she started to draw out a more casual version of it. She had the weekend to flesh out the design, so why not start right now?

A/N: Hey everyone, again, sorry for you guys having to wait so long. I've been swamped with school, and I am only now on holiday. Even then I'll be busy. I was hoping to use this time to finally get to the start of Jim's story, but I'm being realistic. I might be able to post another two chapters while I'm off, but at the very least, I'll be able to post one. Another reason I've taken so long in posting this chapter, is because I have been fleshing out this story idea more and more, and planning future chapters and writing my ideas and editing them so when I do write them, I don't have to remember what I want to put down, and it is the best is can be. As well as that, I've got a few story arcs that will be going on throughout the story, alongside the canon events, as well as a few original characters, and hints at other canon universes from Dreamworks, and MLB. All in all, I can't wait to write it, and I can't wait for you guys to read it. See you guys in Stormy Weather!!😊
