i threw on my slides and ran out to jamell car. i hopped im and slouched back. "damn you look sick as hell." he mumbled. i side-eyed him bout ready to knock him the hell out. he pulled up to the urgent care and opened my door.

i held my stomach as i walked in. i went to the front desk and signed in and signed the papers. jamell sat beside me in the empty ass waiting room. "kaideince carter?" the nurse said.

i got up and was expecting jamell to follow. "please come." i mumbled also scared. he laughed and followed behind me. i sat down on the table as the paper crinkled. the nurse asked all my symptoms.

she ran some tests and requested a urine sample. i went and did all that stuff. she left for a second and came back about 10 minutes after.

"we have some news to tell you, would you like it to be announced publicly or privately?" the nurse asked me. i was a bit shocked and answered, "i dont mind, publicly."

"according to the tests we've run with your urine sample it's come to us that you're possibly pregnant." the nurse explained to me. i paused and scrunched my face.

i looked over at jamell and he was absolutely stunned. i swear my jaw dropped that moment. "that isnt right ma'am." i said squinting my eyes, confused. "majority of the time these tests are accurate.." she said.

"damnn. i got a child bru." melly thought aloud. i shook my head and got up from the hospital bed thing. melly followed behind me and i exit the urgent care. the car ride home was very quiet.

once we were home i saw that ms. jamie was at they house. melly dropped me off and i used the key he gave me. "excuse me, ms. jamie?" i said coming in the house.

she jumped at the sound of my voice. "hm?" she said in response. "please, dont be mad at me. i really need your help.. i trust you with this more than anybody else.." i said looking down, slightly disappointed.

she directed me to the couch and sat beside me. "whats wrong, sweetie?" she said rubbing my back as reassurance. "i'm pregnant." i said bursting out crying. she gasped and gave me a tight hug.

"do you know who the dad is?" she asked frowning. "yes.. i do." i said crying even more. "is he gonna be present..?" ms. jamie asked thinking back to her early pregnancy. "i hope so." i said wiping my tears.

"i just need to know.. is it jamell?--" she asked and before i could answer the door opened. "here kaideince." he said handing me a bunch of stuff. he gave me pink roses, chips, candy, money, balloons, and a card. "this way too much." i said cheering up a little.

"jamell this you..?" ms. jamie asked him. "ya." he said smirking. "oh my god, i really didnt want you to be like me." she said facepalming. i sighed and ate the chips melly got me.

"i just wanted some advice and stuff ms. jamie.. how ima tell my moms?" i said kicking my feet from the couch. she shrugged and pointed to jamell.

"jamell. go tell her." i demanded. his eyes widened and he got up from the couch. i followed behind him out the door and saw my moms car in the driveway.
