Once Captain Steckler got to the hospital, she went to the front desk lady and verified her authorized presence to see the doctor that was handling Chip's room with her officer badge, in case the nurses get restrictive with their discretion rules about the patients.

After she was able to find out at least the diagnosis of what was going on, she nodded her head and thanked the doctor before walking over across the hallway to find her friends.

She figured that Dale wouldn't wait for her at the waiting room, like they had initially planned, because he would be too busy watching over his own best friend.

So, she immediately headed towards the room door itself and looked down to see that Dale was sitting down outside of the door, by himself.

"Dale? You doing alright?" Captain Steckler asked while slowly sitting down next to him.

"Sigh. No. My best friend has gotten amnesia, another victim has been kidnapped and the only lead that we have left is the simple fact that all of the victims have high connections to politics. I mean what's the point Ellie. There's no way that we'll ever be able to through with this case because I just don't think I can do this without him." Dale said sadly.

"Yes, you can and I'm counting on the both of you to help me solve this case." Steckler said, determined.

"How?! He can barely remember a thing. More or less his own name!" Dale yelled out with his hands thrown in the air out of frustration.

"Dale, I know that this is going to be a rough road but right now, you're gonna have to stay strong for him. For the both of you, okay? We are going to catch these guys, I promise. The doctor even said that the amnesia is not that strong with his concussion and his memories can actually be restored sooner than you think." Steckler encouraged to help him realize that being temporary amnesic is not as bad as he thinks.

"How do you know that it will? What if his memory doesn't come back? Then what would I do?" Dale asked, worried as Steckler changed her facial expressions a little and shrugged.

"Well, I can't exactly give you much advice for that. But all I can tell you is to have faith in yourself and trust that he can remember again. Who knows, maybe it'll be whenever you least expect it." Steckler said, smiling a little to help cheer him up a bit.

Dale then sighed quietly and nodded his head in agreement.

He'll just have to be patient with him and hopes that in time, it'll get much better soon.

"Okay. When did the doctor said that he can be released?" Dale asked as the Steckler calmly informs him a little more information about analysis of Chip's condition while they both wait for the doctor to come back to check on him.

When the doctor got a closer look at Chip's head, he then checked the stability state of his body and mind that included his speech compatibility and walking posture/ balance.

Afterwards, he was asked a few more other questions involving his headaches or any dizzy feelings that was noted on his chart before confirming his dismissal out of the hospital with an okay status.

He had advised him to rest up at home without having to head back to the hospital to recover as long as he doesn't get himself involved in heavy physical endurance such as running or lifting that will put a strain on his body.

By the time that Chip was signed out of the hospital under the care of Dale on the paperwork, Steckler was able to bring back Dale's car that was found near the crime scene, since it hasn't been impounded at the Station for any possible evidence and drove it over to the pickup area of the hospital for them.
