Chapter 14

"Guess we're roommates," Beomgyu smiled, shoving his hands into the pocket of the ridiculous beach shorts. Taehyun nodded in response, still staring at the number 5 written on his piece of paper. What luck did he have to pick the same number as Choi Beomgyu?

"First we will go to our assigned rooms. Change into beach wear and be back in 20 minutes." The teacher called out to the students who were busy either complaining or happy about their roommates.

"The universe hates me. Why am I always stuck with Soobin? Why him of all people?" Yeonjun complained while shooing the taller guy who was playing with his hair away. Huening kai laughed at his friend's misfortune.

"Couldn't be me. I have Wooyoung" he stated matter of factly making Yeonjun groan. They all walked into the elevator with some other students so they could reach their assigned rooms.

Taehyun smiled to himself as he walked side by side with Beomgyu dragging his suitcase behind him. It was quiet but it was comfortable.

"It's room 128 right?" Beomgyu asked, confused as they stood by the doors.

"No. 128 is ours" Soobin replied pointing to Yeonjun who was opening the door.

"Ours is 127" Taehyun muttered while opening the door with the key they were given. Taehyun was first to walk in leaving the door open for Beomgyu to walk in.

"Oh this is nice" Beomgyu commented as he tossed his duffle bag somewhere near the corner. It was a spacious room with various plants and a big window. It had a small couch near the middle and a TV on the wall. What caught Taehyun's attention however was the bed. There was only one.

"I'll go change now" he called out, grabbing his swimwear and running into the bathroom. He changed as fast as possible into his swim shorts and a white tee.

Beomgyu nearly choked when Taehyun walked out of the bathroom but he pretended to be looking at his phone so Taehyun wouldn't get weirded out. The shirt he was wearing was a little tight and Beomgyu couldn't help but notice how tiny his waist was.

"Are you going like that?" Taehyun teased, pointing to the loose t-shirt and neck pillow. Beomgyu grinned and rolled his eyes before taking the neck pillow off.

They both left their room and made their way down to the lobby where they met with the teacher and some other students. Yeonjun and Soobin came by after a few minutes.

Soobin couldn't seem to take his eyes off Yeonjun. Yeonjun had caught Taehyuns attention as well but he wasn't as obvious as Soobin. His eyes were on the light bruises on his arms and legs. No one else seemed to notice since they were fading but for some reason it was still obvious to Taehyun and Soobin.

Light purple marks in the outline of a belt all over his legs and arms. He didn't seem to notice the eyes on him as he laughed along with Huening kai.

"Hey you okay?" Beomgyu asked with his arms around Taehyun's shoulder. The smaller boy hummed in response, tearing his eyes away from the boy's body. He would talk with him about it later.

"Okay let's get going." The teacher said after he had finished attendance. They all walked out of the hotel and were met with the blinding sun. Soobin held onto Yeonjun's hand causing the older male to look up at him in surprise.

"What are you doing?" He tried to pull his hands away but Soobin held onto his hand a little tighter, being careful not to hurt the older boy.

"Just leave it. Please?" He asked, looking at the boy whose face had turned as pink as his hair. He turned his face away, biting onto his bottom lip to stop himself from smiling.

Taehyun watched the interaction with Beomgyu from a short distance as they walked to the Beach that wasn't far from the hotel.

"They look like a couple," Beomgyu commented, turning his head to Taehyun who gave him an unimpressed look.

"Really? You don't say" Taehyun rolled his eyes smiling slightly at the fact that they had grown comfortable with each other. Beomgyu laughed in response, looking in front of them.

"What are you doing after this?" Beomgyu asked, causing Taehyun to tilt his head confused.

"What do you mean?" He asked kicking the rock on the floor and almost tripping over it. He managed to save himself but got loud laughs from the boy next to him. Taehyun pushed him away, frowning at being made fun of.

"I mean what are you doing after the beach? It's the only thing on the schedule then after that he gives us free time. We do whatever" Beomgyu finally said after he had stopped laughing.

"I'm not sure" Taehyun shrugged his shoulders, shoving his hands into the pocket of his beach shorts.

"Then...would you wanna hang with me? I mean I know Incheon pretty well. I've been here with my family a couple times. Maybe we could go to the movies or the arcade? You don't have to say yes I'm not forcing you or anything but it'd be nice." Beomgyu rambled with his hand behind neck, rubbing it slightly.

"I'd love that" Taehyun responded, causing Beomgyus face to light up. Taehyun was sure he would die as his heart rate sped up the second Beomgyu started speaking.

He didn't mean to overthink things but had Beomgyu just asked him out on a date? Maybe he really was just thinking too much and he had only wanted them to hang out as friends but for the time being he'd allow himself to over think.

They had reached the beach and Huening Kai was beaming with excitement. He was already jumping all around the place saying nonsense.

"Now now Kai I'm going to need you to be a civilized civilian" Soobin spoke trying to calm Kai down with his hands but failed as the younger boy splashed him with cold water.

"Kai! Kai no!" Taehyun warned backing away from Huening Kai who had already filled his palms with water. The younger boy gave up on nicely retreating and ended up running causing the other boys to run as well from the non civilized civilian.
