"come on come on COME ON!" Allison sat on the side of the river desperately trying to get her camera to work. The camera had fallen out of her bag when she had crossed.
"If only it could swim" Marie joked. "let's go I'm getting bored and it's getting dark." She hated going cryptid hunting on a good day but today had been rainy and muddy.
"You can always fix it when you get home"
"I guess, but this is my mom's and I wasn't even supposed to take it today"
Just then the peaceful sounds of the woods was broken by a loud growling followed by the rustling of branches and some cussing.
"Gosh it's not my fault you left your cub there. What was I going to do eat it?" Sawyer screamed breathlessly.
"Can you believe that guy? Got mad.....at me....cuz she lost her.....child." The girl was hunched over trying to catch her breath. Her legs and arms were covered in scraps and cuts, and there was a large scratch on her cheek but she was smiling like a mad man.
The two other girls looked at there friend in awe for a few seconds but shook it off, they had been friends for years so they were used to her.
"We really should head home" Allison looked up at the sky worriedly. The pinks and orange of the sunset we're turning a dark purple signaling the darkness that would soon surround them. The three girls followed the familiar path out of the woods as Sawyer excitedly explained her 'heroic' battle with the bear.
