The school halls were empty and quiet as Allison walked to her class. She was late for science. She usually loved science but today was different, today they were dissecting frogs... And she had a very weak stomach.

Sawyer watched as the frog used up all the oxygen in it's little jar. She thought about how it must feel to be trapped with no escape. She thought about how she fel- she thought about how cool it would be to see the inside of the frog.
Allison walked in quietly and sat down next to Marie and hoped their teacher Ms. Addams didn't notice. She didn't. Or she didn't care. Probably the latter.
"Alright class, once I give you the scalpel you can start..." Ms. Addams droned on about safety but stopped when she got to the trio's table, or more importantly Sawyer who was slowly reaching towords the sharp object. Ms. Addams gave the scalpel to Marie instead.
"I don't see why I can't do it. I'm very trustworthy." Sawyer huffed.
"She's afraid you'll think your the kid from Animal Death-Bed." Marie said as she took the frog from the jar. "Right Allison?"
Allison didn't answer, she was holding the garbage can green in the face. She felt sick, she loved frogs.
"Well... Allison can do the writing."

"I don't understand why they still even have us do that anymore. I mean we have see through frogs for this purpose." Allison sat at the foot of her bed dealing the cards to the other two girls. They were pulling an all nighter at Allison's since Marie's parents were away on business and Sawyer's adoption parents didn't really care.
"They do it cuz it's cool" Sawyer explained as she put her curly red hair up in a bun.
"What's cool about torturing innocent creatures?"
"You have no way of knowing that there innocent, for all we know they could be hardened frog criminals and this is their death penalty."
"Your sick."
A/N: omg this is my first book and there are actually a few people reading it!?! Also I have never dissected a frog before so all I know about how that works is from that one scene in E.T. Anyways plz let me know what you think of it. Sorry if it's slow I need to build up background, it'll pick up a little in the next chapter. Also If you can figure out the movie I referenced you're amazing.
