Chapter 2
Samira landed at waterstone Hunter layed down on the custom-made balcony Ahmad had built off her bedroom to hold Hunter. He fell asleep as soon as he landed. You're sleepy because you're laid up with Nefi and those eggs. You better start flying more lazy goatand! Hunter rolled his sleepy eyes. Yeah, whatever Samira said, hitting his tummy. Lazy behind, she mumbled, complaining about his earthly ways.
She went to the kitchen to get food the servant's kneeled before her please rise ladies and gentleman! She grabbed the butler come sean they waltzed around the kitchen Samira still clumsy on her turns.
Fuck! The maid's giggled Samira?! Sorry sean, sorry! She winked at the maid's. Again, wait, why in here Sean? we can practice in the ballroom.
No, we practice here in close quarter's if you bump a pot or break a plate, that means
I'll bump someone during the engagement ball. Sean, if Ahmad leads, then I can just follow.
Follow him with sore and achy feet, Queen? I guess you're right. From the top, Sean spun her around the kitchen while the maids kept counting. Her eyes were closed when her partner's were switched she opened her eyes to Ahmad. Everyone was kneeling again.
She stopped kissing him close. Sean cleared his throat, and the maid smiled, laughing shyly. Samira ran out of the kitchen. Ahmad chased her into the maze she had built in the garden she had them build clues and escapes, and only the royal's of Waterstone knew how to exit.
Samira! Ahmad called lost in the maze she didn't answer. Ahmad used trickery Samira. I'm hurt, help me, baby! I twisted my ankle and can't walk!
Samira pushed a door covered with a bush entering his aisle.
Ahmad lay on the grassy ground holding his ankle with a look of pain on his face.
I think it's broken, baby. Is it? Samira gently touched it. Ahmad winced in pain.
We are going to have to postpone the engagement ball, baby. Samira had a sad look in her eyes. I guess you're right.
Ahmad pulled her to the ground, got cha! Tickling her, she giggled loud, you dirty rat!
They lay there looking up to the sky holding hand's as dragon's flew over head screeching when they saw her.
The rider's are still mad at you, bae. They'll get over it. Ahmad, they can't be bonded to a dragon and not take it out for a ride. I don't care how old they are. If they can sit in the tavern and drink all day, they can exercise their dragon.
Once a dragon is bonded to a rider, do you know they fly less and less on their own? That's why I've been riding Idris' dragon and Obsidians. The dragon knows he is alive and won't choose another rider Ahmad.
Since we are doublestone and can ride all dragons, we take turns with his dragon.
If I can do that for a dragon, I'm not bonded to them, and then they can for ones they're bonded to.
Ahmad looked sad at the mention of his father's name. Baby, we can sneak into the mirror and see your parents if you want. I can't risk my mother trying to hurt you, bae.
I'll wait at the safe house and you go. I can call a cab they never have to know I'm there. You can say you came alone, Ahmad.
That may work, Samira. How about after the party? Everyone will be drunk, and giddy guards will be down. I'll tell Shahid we're going in the mirror. That way, he won't send mercenaries when we come out.
Ahmad cut his eyes hearing his name. Ahmad, we have to get along with Sahid he rules the shadow land's. There is one queen in Etharkia, her name is Samira Firestone. There should not be a king in the shadow lands, baby.
He is not a king but a legitimate Firestone prince born of your grandfather.
Shahid, though our age is technically our Uncle he's our father's baby brother.
Bastard brother. Not anymore. Ahmad Obsidian wrote him in the book's. At your request, Samira. Yes, at my request, if he is a Firestone prince, he should sit as one Ahmad.
Instead of the shadow demon's being our enemy, they're our allies.
Fyi, King Obsidian put his baby brother over the shadow lands, or have you forgotten? Don't let jealousy blind you great, King Samira licked Ahmad's neck.
Don't do that he smiled. Why? You make my rider's tight. Let me see.
Nope, cause if you see, you're gonna do. I told you I have condoms Ahmad.
I told you, Samira, we don't use those here, it cases confusion. Haha! How Ahmad?
I used a condom no he didn't! Then we have paternity issues who will have to decide great queen? You because I'm ignoring those court inquests.
Men proudly accept their children married or not. Is that why grandfather Firestone hid Shahid?
Let's be clear, Samira, we all knew grandfather had another family he was never secretive about it. Everyone knew he just didn't write them in, but he claimed them as his children, all of them that's no secret.
I wonder why a man would do all that and not write them in declaring their royal blood, Ahmad?
Grandfather was odd that way they say when he was with his other wife, he lived common no maid's nothing. People say he chopped wood and fixed his own house and hunted for dinner on an old nag baby.
Samira smiled it was the life he wanted if he hadn't been born royal Ahmad. Yes, baby. So he didn't purposly keep Shahid out because of shame, but because of the weight of being royal Ahmad, he protected him, not hurt him.
That's a good way to see things, baby.
Samira and Ahmad had lunch and laughed as soon as he left she saddled Hunter to come on GOAT. She headed to the shadow lands.
