"No, no, no." I gulped, looking down at the object in my hands. I slowly wiped away a tear. "I knew I shouldn't have gone to that party. I've ruined everything." I buried my head in my hands and burst into tears.

Let's just cut to the chase. As you've probably guessed by now, the object in my hand was a pregnancy test. And, if you couldn't figure out...

It was positive.

"Oh God, what about YouTube? I'm nineteen, I can't keep filming. Everyone will hate me." I cried, speaking out loud. "I can't raise a baby on my own. I mean, I don't even know who the father is."

I heard a knock at the door. Looking up, I sighed. Probably my mum checking in again. I stood up, and threw the stick in the bin. Slowly, I opened the door, wiping my tears away quickly and smiling bravely.

"Hey love, just checking in." She said. It was my mum, of course. "How are things? School? Friends? Living on your own?"

"Oh, erh. You know, fine. Urm, I'm okay." I replied, scratching the back of my head nervously. "I'm fine, yeah...just fine."

"Are you sure? You seem kind of nervous." She said, sorting out some washing. "Oh, darling," she said, picking up a dirty make up wipe "these go in the bin. How do you even manage surviving on your own?"

"Oh," I laughed shakily, trying not to panic about the fact she might see the test in the bin, "I must've forgotten."

"Silly you, as usual." My mum poked me in the stomach, laughing. I smiled, suddenly self conscious, as she walked over to the bin. She chucked the wipe in, and stood there for a while. "Hey, Mere, what's this?" She asked, leaning in and picking something up.

"Oh, urm, nothing." I answered, running up and trying to snatch it from her. I was too late though.

My mum officially knew I was carrying a baby.
