"what y'all doing this valentine's day ?" your bestfriend asked , eating breakfast with her boyfriend at some spot baji found . baji can literally cook anything except breakfast , which is pretty shocking .
"i don't know . takashi wanted to plan it all out , but he hasn't said anything . i texted him yesterday asking if we should go to the movies or something , but i guess i'll just be in my bed this time ," you shrugged , trying to show you didn't care . you'd woken up early this morning just waiting on a text back to your "good morning , babyy ❤️ . happy valentine's day!" paragraph .
maybe he just wasn't awake yet . takashi wouldn't just leave his girlfriend lonely , would he ? not on a day like this .
"i'm so sorry , y/n . maybe he's still setting it up , so he just was busy and didn't have time to hit you back . maybe you could surprise him . it'd be last minute , but a little dinner at a nice restaurant and maybe some small gifts always works ." jaliyah tried to be optimistic , knowing that probably was not the case .
"it's fine . i mean , it's just valentine's day . it's not that important ."
"y/n . be for real , now . we all know you love valentine's day ." smiling a bit , you laughed with her and shook your head .
"i do , but i'll be fine . i'll talk you later , alright? i love you ." you hung up with her , going to your kitchen to grab a pop tart . plopping on the couch , you grabbed a blanket as ezrah jumped up and y'all started watching a random romance movie on netflix .

"that was so sweet!" you squealed , turning the tv off as you got up to go back upstairs with ezrah . "maybe i should just treat mys-" just as you spoke , your phone rung . the contact said , "my baby❤️" .
"hey , baby," you answered the facetime , sitting down on the bed .
"hey . happy valentine's day , beautiful . i'm sorry i didn't tell you earlier . i was busy with something for today , but i have a couple of plans for us . wear something classy , and i'll be there to pick you up at 5:00pm , okay ?"
"happy valentine's day , bae . what colors are you wearing ?"
"i'm just wearing an all black suit , baby ."
"okay . i have some ideas , then ."

laughing , your boyfriend hung up and got back to work on his stuff . "damn , what am i gonna wear ?" you muttered , looking through your hell of a closet . it wasn't junky , though , there was just a lot of clothes there .
after ten minutes of picking up and putting back items along with opening packages that had probably been sitting at the back of your closet for months , you found a nice light blue dress along with gold heels to match your jewelry .
