Did We Fall Too Fast

Chapt. 5

Onika's Pov

Me and August are sitting here trying to think of baby names. "Oooh! How about India?" I ask. "That's cute but what about middle name?" He asks. We just sit there and think again. "India Takayla Alsina." He says smiling. He is really excited I can see it in his eyes.

"I love it baby. But what if it's a boy?" I ask. "Can we name him after me?" He asks. "Of course baby." I say kissing him. He kisses my tummy and rubs it.

"Happy Mothers Day Ma." Aubrey says coming down the stairss. He gives me a real rose and hugs me and kisses me.

"Thank you baby." I say kissing him back. I take a good look at the rose and it has a ring around it. "Aubrey where did you get this?" I ask covering my mouth. "Me and Lee Lee bought it." He says proudly. I look over at August and he shrugs with a smile. I just laugh and hug Aubrey. "Thank you my baby , now go wake your sister up." I say kissing his forehead.

He runs off and I sit in August's lap. "Thank you papi." I say holding his face. "Anything for you mami." I say kissing me. I lay my head on his chest and Aaliyah comes running to me. "Hey baby." I say kissing her forehead. "Happy Mommy's Day , Ma." She says sitting on August. "Thank you love." I say putting the ring on.

"You like it?" She asks. "Of course I do baby , now y'all go get dressed we're going out to eat." I say picking her off of August. They go get dressed and I go put on my sundress , just because August loves seeing my baby bump.

I spray some water on my hair to make it wavey and I slide on my sandals. I walk downstairs and show off the dress to August. "Look at my India and my Onika." He says smiling. I do a 360 and let him see it. "You look amazing baby." He says holding my waist.

"Come on kiddies." I yell. They come running downstairs and I realize , damn my kids can dress.

We drive separate cars and go get our moms. Aaliyah of course wanted to ride with me and Aubrey want to ride with August. I get to my moms house and beep the horn my brother and her ride with. The whole way there Aaliyah asks my brother , Micaiah , hundreds of questions.

We finally get there and Aubrey rushes over to Micaiah. "Uncle Cai!" He yells and jumps in his arms. "Wasssup lil man." He says ignoring August , they never liked each other. I sigh and just hug Aug's mother.

We go in and take our seat. We sit and talk and Micaiah finally speaks. "So Nic , how's the baby?" He asks. "Good , we finally have names." I say smiling and holding August's hand. "India Takayla Alsina , if it's a girl." I say holding my stomach. "And we'll name it after me if it's a boy. " August says smiling. Cai just nods and goes back to messing with the kids. "Cai how come you got a problem with me man?" August asks.

"It's not that I don't like you , I just can't fuck with you Aug , you hurt my sister too many times with some lil boy shit." Cai says sitting Aaliyah in is lap. "Lil boy shit? Cai you're still a boy what you know about something grown niggas do?" Aug asks. I put my hand on Augusts'. "Can we do this later? Please?" I ask. "Nah Nik , I know a grown man isn't supposed to hurt his wife , his everything. " Micaiah says standing up.

"Sit down son , you don't want this problem boy." He says standing up too. "August stop." I say calmly. Micaiah pushes him and August hits him the jaw. I just run out too embarrassed to sit there. The kids come out and sit with me on the curb.

Aaliyah cries and Aubrey hugs me. "I just wanted mommy to be happy today." Aaliyah says in tears. I sigh and hold her. "I'm okay baby , as long as I got you two knuckle heads." I say holding them. I hold them and August finally comes out.

"I'm sorry baby." He says sitting next to me. "You ruined mommy's day! How could you daddy!" Aaliyah yells at him. "I know I'm sorry." He says sighing. "On the couch tonight and mommy and I deserve a new dress!" Aaliyah says crossing her arms. "Alright baby , I promise a new dress for you and mommy." He says kissing her forehead.

"Now can we go back in and eat?" Aubrey groans. I smile and get up and we go back in. My mommy kisses my cheek and hugs me.

We sit down and enjoy each other and our meal , today was an okay Mother's Day...
