Its funny. I lived with my dad, Scott, in Phoenix, Arizona for 12 years. I am sixteen now and he seems to think that moving me to Denver, Colorado will make me and my moms relationship better. He might be right. Im really gonna miss my friends though. But moving will be an okay experience.
"Jayce, hurry up!!! You dont wanna miss your plane do you??" Scott yelled from downstairs.
As I walked downstairs with a suitcase and backpack, I walked out the door and took one last look at the house I called home. I walked over to my dads car. Put my things in the trunk, than got into the car.
As my dad started to drive down the street, I couldn't help but feel clueless.
"So why am I moving to Colorado again?" I asked
"Because its been YEARS since you last seen your mom and she is happy to see you. Plus this gives you a chance to build a relationship with your mother!!" He insisted
The rest of the drive was pure silence. We got to the airport. My dad took my suitcase out and said his goodbyes. An hour later, I was on a plane bound for Denver, Colorado.
When I got off the plane, my mom and her boyfriend were waiting for me.
"Hi baby! How was your flight?"
"Hi mom. My flight was good."
"Thats good! Are you hungry?"
"No just tired. I got a big day ahead of me tomorrow. Brand new school."
