An scowl remained plastered upon Elizabeth's lips—one so fierce she was sure it'd give even the most skilled comedian a run for their money. It was unwavering, and no doubt cemented in place for the remainder of the night.
The response didn't take much as it seemed to shine naturally considering her whereabouts. As she would label it 'obnoxious'—the ambulance she found herself in was that and more.
Jack Gibson sat alongside her in the back—that's when the annoyance set it, making for a horrible combination.
Elizabeth shoved at his hands when he tried to urge an oxygen mask her way. "Stop—stop! I don't need that," she fought with him, rolling her eyes and huffing out an aggravated breath when he finally let up. "I'm not dying," she finalized, sending him a stern look as she stood her ground.
Jack sighed, huffing out his own breath in defeat before his heavy gaze settled on her, narrowing a bit as he spoke. "I'd appreciate it if you didn't tell me how to do my job," he shot back, expecting it to have some sort of impact on her—his tone coming off a bit rugged as he stated the demands. However, the small twisted smirk lingering on his lips played against him.
