– Chapter 3: Goku Vs. Temple Demon –

Goku strolls around in search for a basket to carry Nezuko around in. After a while of looking, he found a house along with two people who were farming. He approaches them and asks, "Excuse me. Is it okay if I took that basket, straw along with some bamboo?" The man looks at Goku and answered, "Sure, you're welcome to it, but that basket's full of holes." Goku says, "Oh? Well that's all right. I'll also pay you for it." The man declines his offer and says, "No, that's all right. I mean, it's a basket full of holes." Goku nudges the payment while standing taller. The man goes, "No, it's all right. You can have the bamboo and straw for free, too." Goku reaches into his haori while saying, "But I'm still paying you!" The man yells, "I said it's okay! You're one stubborn kid!" Goku slaps the coins into his hands, causing the man pain in his hand. He also said, "Please accept this, although it's just small change!" Goku grabbed the stuff he needed and says, "Thank you very much!"

- Small Time Skip -
Goku reaches the place where he left Nezuko and Tanjiro. He asked Tanjiro, "Wait, where is Nezuko?" Tanjiro kept quiet and answered by pointing inside the cave and into the hole she dug. Goku looks at the hole and saw her head pop right out. He thought, "Wow. Nezuko is turning into a mole." He then asks Tanjiro, "When exactly did she dig the hole?" Tanjiro said, "About three minutes after you left." Goku looks at the sky and says, "I guess that's how much those demons hate the sun," he then looks at Nezuko and says, "Just you wait Nezuko, I'll create a basket and then we'll be able to travel whenever we want." He begins to cut the bamboo with his axe and folds the bamboo around the basket. He tells Tanjiro, "Tanjiro, I want you to get Nezuko into this basket. Do you think you can do that?" Tanjiro says, "I'll try. There's no saying it's possible since she's that tall." Goku says, "Hmm... Oh, I know! Do you remember how she got bigger when she tried to bite me? Maybe she could shrink if she could do that." Tanjiro says, "Okay." Tanjiro enters the cave and asks, "Nezuko, do you think you could shrink for us and get into this basket? I and Nii-san want to travel during the day." Nezuko gets into the box but was a little too tall to dit. Tanjiro pats her on the back and says, "Do you think you can get smaller? You won't be able to fit at that size." Nezuko stands the basket up and falls right into it while shrinking down in size. Tanjiro was surprised but pats her head. Nezuko closed her eyes but Goku asks, "Are you done yet, Tanjiro? We still have a long way to go to get to Mount Sagiri." Goku looks down at Nezuko and says, "Oh man, Nezuko looks so small." He also pats her head and places a blanket down under the basket. He wraps the basket inside the blanket and they then make their way to Mount Sagiri.

- Very Long Time Skip -
A woman asked the two, "Mount Sagiri? If you want to go to Mount Sagiri, you'll have to cross over that mountain, but... The sun's about to set. Are you really heading there with all that luggage? It's dangerous, you know." Goku says, "We'll be careful. Thank you very much." The two now and continue to Mount Sagiri. The woman yells, "People have gone missing lately! Try not to lose your way!" Tanjiro looks behind and waves while Goku also does the same.

- Another Time Skip -
The moon peered over the sky as Goku, Tanjiro and Nezuko make their way up a hill. "I feel something odd up top that hill," said Goku. Tanjiro asks, "What do you mean, Nii-san? It's just a temple-" Goku cut him off by saying, "I also smell blood! Someone must be hurt! Let's go help them!" Goku runs up the staircase to the temple with Tanjiro and Nezuko following behind him, hand-in-hand. Goku slams the shoji door open and yells, "Is anyone hurt?" Goku widens his eyes at the sight in front of him. A lone demon ate the bodies of three people. It then asked, "What the hell? This is my turf." Tanjiro and Nezuko caught up to Goku but Tanjiro gasped and covered his mouth in disgust. The demon continues, "If you break into my territory, I'll make you pay!" Goku thought, "A demon!" Nezuko stared at the bloody scene and begins to drip saliva under her bamboo muzzle. The demon licked its bloody fingers while saying, "There's something off about you. Are you three humans?" It stood up and faces the three. Goku responds by pushing Tanjiro and Nezuko to the side. Goku and the demon have a staredown in silence. A candle mysteriously went out and the demon was the first to make a move by lunging at Goku. Goku replies by dodging to the left and kneeling the demon into the ceiling of the room. The demon crashes up into the ceiling and down onto the floor. He gets up and says, "Those are some fast reflexes, boy. Next time you won't be so lucky!" Goku smirks and says, "I don't think that was luck." Tanjiro watched as Goku and the demon clashed, causing a bit of wind. Goku was kicked out of the temple while Tanjiro yells, "Nii-san!" The demon then had its attention on Tanjiro and Nezuko. Tanjiro gulped in fear but Goku punched the demon in the stomach, sending him flying through the temple's wall. Goku felt bad but continued with his fight. He looked at Tanjiro and said, "Tanjiro, I want you to bury these bodies. Don't worry about me. I and this demon are almost the same in terms of strength. I'll just hold it off until the sun shines, all right?" Tanjiro hesitantly replied, "Y-Yes!" Goku hopped out of the destroyed temple wall and said to the demon, "I've been itching for a fight for the longest time! You don't know how excited I am!" The demon looked at Goku as if he was crazy and asked, "What even are you? Are you even human?" Goku looked puzzled and asked, "What do you mean? Of course I'm human." The demon was shocked and thought, "How come this boy is so strong? I can only imagine how strong he'll get if he was with them." Goku then says, "That's enough talk. Let's do this already!" The demon put on a sinister smile and lunges at Goku. Goku hops right over the demon and kicks it in the back, slamming it into the ground.

- Meanwhile -
Tanjiro tried his best to calm Nezuko's demonic urges but heard a slam outside. He investigated and saw the demon inside the dirt while Goku stood beside the demon's crater. Goku looked at Tanjiro and asked, "What are you doing, Tanjiro? Go and bury those bodies." The demon took its chance and grabbed Goku's leg and slammed him to the ground. Goku yelled in pain while Tanjiro was full of guilt. Goku's yell set Nezuko off, making her control her demonic urges. Nezuko ran while Tanjiro looked at her. Nezuko ran to the demon and kicked the demon toward the tree. Tanjiro thought, "Nezuko is this strong as a demon?" Goku looked at Nezuko who had a dissatisfied look. He then patted her back while laughing. The demon looked at the two and yelled, "I knew one of you was a demon! What is a demon doing teaming up with a demon? Goku said, "Whatever you did there, won't happen again! You cheated because I had my guard down!" The demon laughs but looked at Goku. Goku kept a smile on his face while the demon chased after the two. Goku, with a little time left, said to Nezuko, "Nezuko, go to Tanjiro! I'll handle this demon alone." Nezuko listened to Goku. Goku dodged the demon's claws by falling backwards and kicking the demon's chest. Tanjiro thought, "Wow, Goku is amazing! It looks as if the demon caught him off guard from before." Goku then spun around and delivers a kick to the demon's torso, launching it into the forest.

Goku was so bored all his life that he began to train on his own time in the forest where he lives. Fighting was something he'd waited for all his life.
