When Ningguang finally got home she immediately sprinted to her desk in a hurry. She pulled out a notebook and began studying. Anything she could use to distract herself from Beidou, she would. It wasn't okay for her to be so concerned about someone she hardly knew. If Beidou wasn't going to say why, then what's the pointing of worrying?

The entire time they had their discussion, Ningguang could only think of how she left. She didn't want her to leave again, not just because she just came back, but because with her it felt as if they've known each other for years. Ningguang had a strange sort of relief when she spoke.

"Homework, done, studying for next exams, done. Dinner?" she glances at her alarm next to her bed. It was only four, "not yet." Ningguang sighed and when back down stairs where she was greeted by her mother.

"How was school?" her mom's voice rang from the living room. Ningguang turned her head at the question, "It was fine." Her mom gave a smug smile. "So who was that girl that walked home with you? She doesn't look like any friends I know about." Ningguang shivers a bit, trying to find a way to answer.

"She's the new transfer student at our school. Her and I became friends." she responds briefly. Her mother rolls her eyes, "Yeah, but you don't just walk them to your house."

Ningguang sighs and follows her mother in the living room. She takes in the large words on the magazine she was reading. The bored mom notices and scoffs. "Amazed? I'm sure. It was a super model that started from just baby pageants. Started at two years old." she exclaims while showing her daughter the magazine.

"And you're looking at this because..?" Ningguang murmured. "Because these kids are just like you! Achieving great things at such a young age." her distracted mother rambles while flipping through the pages rapidly.

"You realize that I didn't start at that young of an age. I think this is an appropriate time for me to invest in my career path," Ningguang shakes her head, "I'm sixteen. There's no way I can just sit here and do nothing."

Her mom rolls her eyes once more. "Not everyone, your age or younger, can pull off such a high standard." she groans in response. Ningguang walks back up to her room. Stomping a little, she slowly makes her way towards her window.

Her mother was right. Something about Ningguang felt off. Like her brain was isolated from most people she's known. People may call it 'smart' or say it's a good thing, but sometimes it made her come off as stuck up.

It's not that she had no understanding of emotions. Ningguang spent a while to understand others, to keep herself from getting lonely or not be able to work with people. It was more like the feeling that she won't be able to have as much fun with people normally.

Because of her interest in high knowledge at a young age, everyone had her doing things. She began to feel invisible to the games or the sports or other fun activities around her. This led to her having simple tastes rather then a specific interest.

Although she did have one other issue.

Her issue, overthinking, was something she could only tell herself that she was in control of. If her head had to much of a strong impact from a certain issue in her life, the first thing she thought was 'what's going to happen to everything?'

The everything was her family, career, life, anything she cared about. A dangerous situation immediately caused her to go into fight or flight. Thankfully, she wasn't a trouble maker, she rarely had those issues.

Now that she's more well known, she has to worry even more about what she's doing in public. Especially since she plans to show the best side of her business at all costs.
