Chapter 24

The whole day went by, and Minho would keep checking his phone, again and again, waiting for a text from Kibum, he thought maybe Kibum was angry at him or maybe he forgot to text him because he was busy hanging out with his best friend.

So when in the late evening he got back, he slumped on the couch and checked his phone again, since Kibum didn't take the initiative to contact him, Minho decided to call first.

The phone kept ringing but no one answered.

Minho took a look at the time, it was 8 in the evening, too early to go to bed. So he once again called, hoping the younger would pick up. This time again, there was no response.

After trying 3 more times and getting no answer more Kibum, Minho was starting to get worried. 

He searched his contact and found Taemin's number and decided to call. After two rings, Taemin picked up the call.

"Hello?" A confused voice sounded. Taemin did not expect Minho to call him. They were not close enough to call each other in the evening.

"Hello, Taemin, it's me Minho. "

"Yes, Minho Hyung. What wrong?" He asked, Taemin was sure something was wrong for Minho to call him this late, he had a bad feeling in his heart.

"Is Kibum there? He isn't picking up my call." Minho asked, straight to the point, he was way too worried to actually go through formalities.

"Kibum? No he is not here. He didn't go home?" Taemin was confused, he had thought that Kibum went home but since Minho was asking this, it meant Kibum was surely not at home.

"Home? No, he didn't. He said he was staying with you." Minho responded back, sounding equally confused.

"Yeah, that was the plan. But after we left Uni, he said something important came up so we will postpone the plans. After that, he got into a car and then went away. I thought he would go home after he was done with the plans." Taemin explained.

"Really? He didn't come home though. I am worried. If you get a call from him, please tell me. And do you know what car was it?"

"Okay I'll call you if he contacts me, and please you do the same and about the car, It was XXXX car."

"Yes, I will tell you if he contacts me, thank you and rest well."

"Okay."

With that the call ended, Minho looked at the call and started sending Kibum a bunch of texts, asking where he was. when is he coming come?

As time went by, he grew even more anxious. He waited for 2 more hours and at 10 when he heard no news from Kibum, he decided to call his secretary.

Jinyoung picked up the call in a few seconds. He had just arrived home and had just removed his coat when Minho called.

"Hello, Boss."

"Jinyoung, I need you to do something for me."

"What is it, boss?"

"Kibum is missing, Please search for him."

"W-what?" Jinyoung was genuinely shocked, if he didn't know Minho was not the type to joke about such stuff, he would have probably asked if he was kidding.

"Please search for him," Minho repeated, his words sounded worried and Jinyoung could feel that Minho was worried and angry at the same time.

"Yes Boss, I'll get on it right away," Jinyoung said as he grabbed his coat from the stand and wore his shoes once again before going out.

It was 2 am in the morning, Minho was sitting at his house and waiting for Kibum, he had an ominous feeling in his heart that something was going very wrong, however, he could not think about it, all he knew was Kibum was missing and he had to find him at all cost.

Just as he was about to call, JInyoung, the doorbell rang, and a glimmer of hope lit up in Minho's eyes as he ran towards the door to open it.

However the hops vanished, as he saw the people who came weren't Kibum, but Taemin and his brother Jinki.

"Hello, Minho Hyung. Sorry for showing up without telling beforehand, I was worried. " Taemin said as he smiled apologetically.

"It's alright. Please come in." Minho said as he led the way.

Soon they were all seated in the living room, Jinki was the one who asked, "Any news from Kibum?"

"No nothing. At first, I was able to call him but now his phone is switched off. " Minho said as he drank some water to moist his throat.

"Did you check his location?" Taemin asked.

"I have asked Jinyoung to find his last location, he should be giving it to me any minute now," Minho said as he kept the glass away and fetched his phone.

The room went silent once again, few minutes later, Jinki asked, "Have you eaten anything?"

Minho who was glaring at his phone, looked up and shook his head, "How can I eat when I have no idea where Kibum is, if he is injured or not, is he even safe?"

Taemin and Jinki shared a glance and sighed.

"Hyung but you should still eat something, you need the energy to keep searching for Kibum. So please........." Taemin said, he knew something like this would happen, and this was partially a reason for him to come here, he turned to look at his brother, who also insisted, "Yes Minho, you need to eat something, if you don't Kibum would be sad when he finds out you were starving when he wasn't here."

Honestly, Jinki and Minho had met each other many times and could be even considered friends, but it was Jinki's first time to see this scared, worried, and somewhat sad side of Minho, whenever he met Minho, Jinki has an impression of serious and calm. Friendly but still ice cold.

Minho looked up from his phone and was going to say something but was interrupted when his phone rang, he immediately picked up the call, "Yes Jinyoung?"

"Boss, Sir Kibum's last location was his parent's house."
