Chapter 29

An hour later after Kibum went to the surgery, Jonghyun, Taemin, and Jinki came, they all had a worried look on their face which was similar to Minho's.

"What happened?" Jonghyun asked.

"Is he okay?" Taemin asked.

"What did the doctor say?" Jinki asked.

The three of them asked their question one after another, Minho who was sitting on the chair outside the operating room got up, "Let's go somewhere else and talk." He said and they all nodded, knowing it is not good to make a commotion outside the operating room.

They all went to the cafeteria in the hospital, and all got themselves some coffee and sat down at the table, Minho told them everything that happened and what the doctor said in short.

As soon as he finished speaking, all three of them had expressions of grief, shock, and anger. A few minutes passed by and no one said anything. But then Minho got up, "I should go back to Kibum. He needs me there."

Jonghyun too got up, "Okay. We will come after finishing the coffee."

Minho nodded and went away knowing that they weren't sitting just because they wanted to drink coffee instead they were sitting because they wanted to talk about the situation and Minho was honestly grateful because currently, he was in no position to think.

A few hours later, the doctor came out of the operating room, Minho immediately got up and went toward him, "Is he okay?"

"Yes, he is okay. For now, he is under anesthesia, so after the effect wears out you can meet him, I'll ask the nurse to shift him to a private ward." The doctor said with a smile.

"Yes thank you, doctor," Minho said gratefully, he wanted to cry right now, he was so so so glad.

Soon everyone else arrived, they saw the doctor walking away and saw Minho half crying and half laughing, they approached him after giving him a few seconds to calm down.

Looking at his expressions they knew the surgery was successful.

After another few hours, Kibum woke up, he felt pain in his leg and a warmth in his hand. Then 

he blinked his eyes open and saw Minho sitting beside him, holding his hand.

"M-mi-nho?" He croaked out, his throat felt dry, Minho who was half asleep got up hearing his name and saw Kibum awake, he got up so fast that the chair he was sitting on fell down and then he hugged Kibum tightly but not too much, knowing that Kibum was still sick.After hugging for a few seconds, Minho moved away, "let me get you some water." He picked the fallen chair down and then picked up the jar of water, poured it into the glass, and then handed it to Kibum.

Kibum smiled and then took the glass, drank a few sips, and finally, he felt like he had a throat instead of sandpaper.

He was going to say something when there was a knock on the door, and then his friends came in.

Taemin ran towards him and lightly hugged him and then moved away, Jonghyun smiled from the side and Jinki patted his shoulder. All of them smiling.

Minho was settled down on the chair and was holding his hand.

Taemin smiled, "I am so glad that you are okay." He looked at Taemin and others' expressions which said the same thing, Kibum smiled and said, "Thank you for being there for me. "

"No need to thank us, we didn't do much. " Taemin said, smiling. He was just glad that his best friend was okay.

After that, they all talked about some random stuff, to lighten the atmosphere. And they had lots of fun.

An hour later, Taemin, Jinki, and Jonghyun got up from the chair, "We should get going now. It's late and you should rest."Kibum nodded.

While going out, Taemin said, "Get well soon so we can have our sleepover."

Jonghyun and Jinki said, "Get well soon."

And they all left, leaving Kibum and Minho alone.

Kibum laid down on the bed and then said, "Minho I am sorry for everything." ]

"No need to say sorry. I know you did nothing wrong. I should be saying sorry for not protecting you well enough." Minho said stroking his thumb on Kibum's face.

Kibum leaned in forward and placed his lips on Minho's and then moved away, "Seriously Thank you."

Minho smiled and placed a kiss on Kibum's lips, "Your welcome."

A few seconds of silence later, Minho asked, "Does your ankle hurt?" as he saw Kibum's legs covered in bandages.

"A bit, but I'll be fine," Kibum replied.

"Then okay. Sleep for now and I'll sleep over there. Call me if you need anything." Minho said as he pointed toward a bed, in the corner of the room.

"Okay," Kibum replied.
